Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Attaching the Exposure Com

Ensure your camera is turned off before attaching the Exposure Com.

  1. Locate the hot shoe mount on top of your camera.
  2. Gently slide the Exposure Com into the hot shoe mount until it locks securely in place.

Step 2: Powering On the Exposure Com

Before using the Exposure Com, make sure it has a functioning battery.

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the Exposure Com.
  2. Insert a CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring the correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

Step 3: Adjusting Exposure Settings

The Exposure Com allows you to control exposure settings for optimal lighting conditions.

  1. Turn on your camera and navigate to the exposure settings menu.

Important safety instructions

  • To ensure the performance and stability of the projector, please place it horizontally and leave a space of about 30cm between the projector and the wall.
  • Do not install in places with poor ventilation
  • Do not install in high-temperature or humid places
  • Do not block the vents
  • Do not install in dust or smoky places
  • Please read this manual before you operate your projector. save it for future reference.
  • The lamp becomes extremely hot during operation. Allow the projector to cool for approximately 45 minutes before removing the lamp assembly for replacement.
  • Do not look straight at the projector lens during operation. The intense light beam may damage your eyes.
  • Do not block the projection lens with any objects when the projector is under operation as this could cause the objects to become heated and deformed or even cause a fire.
  • To temporarily turn off the lamp, use the blank function.

Bluetooth remote control

  • Remote control shall be working within a 5m distance from the projector.
  • Paring method( Bluetooth connection)
  1. Press and hold the left & right direction buttons at the same time for 3-5 seconds until the red light flashes.
  2. Open “Settings” -“Bluetooth & Remotes”, and click the name of the remote to connect.

Installation

Proposed Installation Way

Before choosing an installation location for your projector, consider the following factors:

  1. Size and position of your screen.
  2. Electrical outlet location.
  3. Location and distance between the screen and projector.

  • Projection Size/Distance Reference Our projector can support the screen size from 40′ to 200′

Power-On / Off Operation

Power connection

Connect the power cord to the projector.

Power -ON /OFF

  • Press the power button to boot up the projector
    • Way1: Power on/off by the button on the projector
  • Aim the remote control at the Remote sensor part of the projector
    • Way2: Power on/off by remote control

Screen Adjustment

Adjust the size and position of the picture by adjusting the projection angle (height of the image), tilting the image left and right, adjusting the focus, zooming out/zooming in the image size, and adjusting the keystone correction.

Adjust the height screw

  1. Raise the front of the projector
  2. Screw on the heightening screw to adjust the picture to the height you want.

Adjust the focus (Sharpness adjustment)

  • After the machine is placed horizontally, turn the focusing ring up and down to make the picture clearer.

Correct keystone

  • Keystoning refers to the situation where the projected image becomes a trapezoid due to angled projection.
  • To correct this, you will need to manually correct it following these steps.
  1. Open the Screen Adjust App and Choose Four Point Keystone.
  2. Choose any corner of the screen, Press Up and down on the Remote control to adjust the correct direction.

  1. Press “ok” key to choose the adjusted direction.
  2. Press “up/down and “left/right” to choose the adjusted degree.

Adjust the Electronic Zoom

Adjust the Brightness

  • When playing a video, you can set the picture mode.
  • The brightness in each mode is different.
  • You can choose different picture modes according to your habits.
  1. Set picture mode:

  2. Custom picture mode:
    • Click”Settings”-“Picture” – “Picture Mode”, select a picture mode, then press the return key click “Custom Settings”, and adjust the parameters in this mode as needed.

System Initial Setup

Language Selection

Wifi connection

  1. Open Settings – Network & WiFi to enter the WiFi settings page.

Bluetooth connection

  • Press the “Set key on the remote control to enter the set menu- “Bluetooth & Remotes” – “Add accessory” – Follow the prompts to pair your Bluetooth device Bluetooth funciton is only working for connecting with Bluetooth devices like bluetooth speaker.

FOTA Update online

  • We will update our system if we have new functions.
  • If you also meet any problem that you can not solve it, you can also use our FOTA Update function to Reboot the system as following steps .
  • Open ” Update” – “Check Version”, Click and Check for updates.

Application management

  • We has installed some basic application for you to using, like Netflix, Youtube, Chrome, Prime, WPS office, etc.
  • When open Netflix APP, there is notice pop up reminding customer to update, please click “CANCEL”, do NOT update.
  • The Netflix already installed in this projector is version:5.16.2 which is specially selected, and we’ve run a lot of testing and debugging for stable and smooth streaming xperience. We strongly suggest to use this version of Netflix, do NOT make any updates.

Install other Android Apps

  • A: Play Store: Almost android apps can be installed to M8 projector via Play Store.
  • B: If you wanna install the application that can not find in google store, you can install the apk with Appinstaller as following steps

Uninstall App

  • Press “Settings button on remote, “Apps” – “See all Apps” – Select the application to be uninstalled, and click Uninstall.

Select the Input Source

HD/AV Connection
Open the “SignalSource” app on Homepage or press the Switch button of remote. Select the source channel you need in the list on the right side of the Homepage.

  1. This device supports connections with various HDMI playback devices such as streaming media player, TV stick, TV box, DVD player, set-top box (STB), game machine or other devices(HD cable provided).

USB Connection

  1. Connect U disk or hard disk
  2. Open “FileBrowser”, enter USB Storage Device, select the movie, photo you want to play.
    When playing the video in the external storage, find the video file you want to play, long press the “OK” key to enter the menu page, click “Open with…”, and then select Movieplayer” to open the video file. Movieplayer’s video decoding capability is stronger.

Screen Mirroring

For Android device

  1. Choose “Miacast” icon as below picture (support Android 5.3 and above)
  2. Open “Miracast” App as below picture . Local device name is “Android -XXXX”
  3. Open the Wireless Cast on Android phone to search available devices, click the “Android-XXXX ” option toconnect.
  4. Click on the prompt box to accept the screen cast connection. If the screen is synchronized, means screen cast completed.

DLNA.

  • This M8 projector supports DLNA. When the projector connected to WiFi, smart devices in same network could play vedios on the project which requires smart device APP supports DLNA.

For iOS device

  1. Please ensure the iOS device and projector connected to the same network.
  2. Open the iOS App in projector.
  3. Open the Screen Mirroring from the control center on iPhone.
  4. Search for available devices.
  5. Connect to “ByteFly-XXXXXX” option to start mirroring screen.
  • Once you used mirror cast function to play your application from your mobile .
  • Then it will support all the videos that you play on mobile, but it may has some delay compare to your mobile. Do not worry, it is normal according to the video sources resolution.

Maintenance Suggestion

Notice

To make this projector work longer, we recommend you to follow the ideas.

  1. Before cleaning the projector, turn off the projector, then turn off the main power and unplug it from the outlet.
  2. Clean the filter regularly every month to prevent clogging.
  3. Make sure to close the projector off once you finished using it.
  4. Make sure not to use it continuously for more than 6 hours.

FAQ

  1. Remote control is insensitive or unresponsive
    • Please check if the batteries installed properly.
    • Please replace with new batteries.
    • Pair the remote control as steps and make sure it is working within in 5m
  2. Unable to boot up
    • Please check if the power cord is connected properly, and if the power light is on. Try to unplug and plug the power if the projector still cannot boot up.
  3. Black screen or abnormal picture after booting for a while
    • Please check if the vents are blocked.
    • Please check if the cooling fan is working properly. If abnormal, please return for repair.
    • Please try to reboot the projector.
  4. No network connection
    • Please check if WiFi connected properly, and if the WiFi signal is good.
    • Please connect hotspot of smart phone to verify if router is working properly.
  5. Blurry display
    •  Please check if the lens are clean.
    • Please use the focusing ring to adjust the sharpness.
    • Please check if the environmnet too bright.
  6. Screen freeze
    • Please reboot the projector to test again. If the screen still freeze, please turn off for 10 minutes and turn on again.
    • If you have any other problem, please contact our online services to help you immediately.
