As hunters ourselves, we have designed our products to help you get the most of your time in the field. We hope you enjoy scouting game for years to come with your new Browning Trail Camera.

SD Card Selection
Install a good quality SD card That is a minimum of 4GB and class 4. The best
brands of SD cards are Browning branded cards, Sandisk or Kingston branded
cards. Please see page 23 for a graph showing how many photos, videos and
timelapse segments can be stored on SD cards.
Based on your intended camera usage, this table will help you determine what
size SD card you need to use in your camera.
Camera Diagram
Battery Installation
Release the buttery troy by pressing the Buttery Eject button. The troy will eject about 1/2″. With o slight pull, the buttery troy will completely eject.
install 8 AA Alkaline or Lithium butteries in the buttery troy. Make sure you install the butteries with the correct polarity, following the markings on the buttery troy. For opimtimol performance we recommend using Browning branded butteries, Energizer'” or Duracell.”
Slide the buttery troy into the closed position.
Main Screen
Turn the camera’s power on by sliding the power switch to the ON position.
The moan screen displays the comers operation mode, pictures or videos token, pictures or videos possible on the SD cord, Comoro delay countdown nod buttery life percentage. The background will show o live image from the comer. This con be used to help position the comers in the field.
The possible comer modes displayed ore Trail Com, Video, and Time-lapse Plus.
The delay counter counts down to 00:00. The comer is now ready to take o
picture or video.
The buttery life meter shows the percentage of charge left in your butteries.
The buttery indicator changes to EXT when on external buttery is plugged into
the external power port.
Set Time and Date
To set the time and date:
From the HOME screen, press the MODE button once. Select the CAMERA SETUP
option by pressing the Enter (E) button.
High Light the SETUP DA TE/TIME option and press the Enter button. This will
token you to the SET TIME AND DATE screen.
The month selection is highlighted. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to select the
correct month.
When finished setting the month, press the RIGHT ARROW key to advance to set
the correct day. Continue through olla settings in this manner until the
correct time nod dote operon.
Press the ENTER button once offer you hove mode your selection for AM/PM. This
will lock in your settings and return you to the CAMERA SETUP SCREEN.
Capture Mode
To set the camera’s capture Mode, Highlight the OPERATION MODE option in the
SETUP MENU, and press ENTER ..
Using the UP or DOWN arrow keys, select the operation mode for your comer.
Press the ENTER key when finished.
CAPTURE MODE OPTIONS:
– STILL PICTURES This setting will take still pictures of game in daytime and
Nighttime. This is the setting most people use for trails and feeding Oreos.
– TIMELAPSE PLUS This setting allows you to take time-lapse images during the
day. In addition, your comer will also take motion activated pictures during
the day one night, to make sure you do not miss only game activity.
– VIDEO This setting will take HD video clips of game in daytime and nightie.
Photo Quality
To set the PHOTO QUALITY, highlight the PHOTO QUALITY option and press ENTER.
Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to make your selection.
OPTIONS: LOW 4 MP, MEDIUM 8 MP, HIGH 12 MP, ULTRA 20 MP Press ENTER button to
save.
Video Length
VIDEO LENGTH You con select the length of your video clip os well in the VIDEO LENGTH window. Your options ore: 5, l 0, 20, 30 seconds, l minute or 2 minute lengths.
NOTES: To conserve battery power, your night videos are limited to a maximum time of 20 seconds. For example, ii your video length is set al 30 seconds, your camera will take 30 second videos during the day, and your night videos will be limited to 20 seconds. Your video clips automatically record sound . Make sure your computer’s sound volume is turned up when playing back video clips.
Video Quality
VIDEO RESOLUTION Both video settings capture in l 920xl 080 resolution. HIGH
resolution takes videos to 30 frames per second.
ULTRA resolution takes videos of 60 frames per second.
Picture Delay
To set PHOTO DELAY, highlight the PHOTO DELAY option. Use the UP and DOWN
arrow keys to make your selection.
DELAY OPTIONS:
1, 5, l 0, 20, 30 seconds
1, 5, l 0, 30, 60 minutes.
Press the ENTER button to save selection.
The PHOTO DELAY option allows you to choose how much of timeout” there is
between toking still pictures or videos.
Multi Shot Mode
To program the MULTI SHOT mode, highlight the MULTI SHOT MODE option. Make your selection using the UP and DOWN arrows. Press the button to save your selection.
Your Browning Trail Cameron con take multiple shots each time the camera is
triggered. The default setting is l picture.
Your options ore os follows:
– SINGLE This is the default setting. Your camera will only take l picture
when triggered.
– MULTI SHOT The selections available ore 2-8 shots in this mode. If you
select 4-SHOT STANDARD, your camera will take 4 pictures, spaced 3 seconds
apart.
– RAPID FIRE This selection allows rapid image capture. When triggered, your
will take 2-8 RAPID FIRE shots, with only 0.3 seconds between pictures. Your
available options ore 2,3,4,5,6,7 or 8 RAPID FIRE shots.
Temperature Units
Your temperature units con be displayed on the picture’s info boor in
Fahrenheit or Celsius.
To change the selection, Press the ENTER button once, and then use the UP and
DOWN arrows to make your selection. Press ENTER to save your selection.
Camera Name
You con odd o custom name for your comer if needed . To name your comers, Highlight the CAMERA NAME option Use the UP and DOWN arrows to change the field. Press the RIGHT ARROW button to move to the next letter. When finished, press the ENTER key to save your selection. Your violable characters ore Capitol A-Z, 0-9 or a blank space.
Image Data Strip
Your trail comers hops on information bur thot is printed of the bottom of each photo token. This info strip shows the following information: Temperature, moon hose, dote, time and comer ID. This option con be turned on or off, using the UP and DOWN arrow buttons.
Motion Test
Your trail comer is equipped with o MOTION TEST feature.
This feature helps you aim the camera of your forget ore. With the motion test
turned on, simply walk around in your forget ore. When your presence is
detected, o red LED on the front of the comer will flush. Select ON in the
MOTION TEST option window Using the UP and DOWN arrows. Press the ENTER button
to confirm selection.
Make sure you turn OFF the MOTION TEST function before leaving the comer in
the field.
Motion Detection
The motion detection distance con be adjusted to either 60ft. or 80ft. Simply press the ENTER button to toggle between selections using the UP and DOWN buttons.
Battery Type
To achieve the most accurate buttery level reading, your camera con be adjusted to monitor either Alkaline or Lithium butteries. The default setting is ALKALINE. If you ore using Lithium batteries, press the ENTER button once and use the UP or DOWN arrow to change your battery type to Lithium.
Trigger Speed
Your comer con be configured to o custom trigger speed of NORMAL (O.7 seconds) or FAST (O.4 seconds) depending on the locution of your comer. We recommend the NORMAL setting for urea’s where game is moving more slowly, such os feeding Oreos. The FAST setting is normally used for monitoring trails.
Time-lapse Settings
Your Browning Trail Camaro hoes the ability to function as o time-lapse comer. This is useful if you wont to view the entire activity in o given Oreo such os o large field.
TIMELAPSE FREQUENCY
Your trail comer con be set to take time-lapse pictures of the following
frequencies: 5, l 0, 15, 30, 60 seconds, l, 2, 5, l 0, 30 and 60 minutes.
TIMELAPSE PERIOD
The time-lapse duration con be set os well for the cameras. The time-lapse
duration controls how many hours per day the comer captures time-lapse images.
In some locutions you may wont to take time-lapse images all day, while in
other locutions you may need to only take images for 2 hours in the morning
one 2 hours before sundown. Your violable TIMELAPSE DURATION options ore:
– ALL DAY Camaro takes images from sunrise to sunset.
– 2, 3 or 4 HOUR These durations limit the camera from toking images either 2,
3 or 4 hours offer sunrise nod 2,3 or 4 hours prior to sunset.
NOTE : Your trail camera learns the length of a day and constantly adjusts the
2,3 or 4 hour duration modes automatically .
The following options con be changed by highlighting the menu option and changing the selection using the UP and DOWN arrows. Remember to press the ENTER button to save your selection.
Default Settings
This selection returns your camera back to the factory default selections for each setting.
Delete All
By selecting Delete all all of the images on our sd card are erased. This function also reformats your SD cad, It is a good idea to use the DELETE ALL function and reformat your SD card each time you install it in the camera for use.
TV Out
The tv out selection allows you to adjust the TV signal output from the camera between NTSC or PAL. If you are using this product in the US or Canada, the NTSC setting should be used. The PAL setting is for TV sets in Europe and Asia.
Software Upgrade
The software upgrade function allows you to upgrade your software. If o software upgrade is available for your camera, it will be posted on our website, along with detailed instructions for upgrading of: www.browningtroiicomeros.com/customer- service
Smart IR Video
Smart IR Video is o feature that will allow o daytime video clip to keep
recording os long os the comer detects movement during filming . If the deer
stands still in front of the comers nod the comer does not detect movement,
the comer will end the video clip .The maximum record time for o video clip
using this feature is 5 minutes.
To enable Smart IR Video, press the ENTER button once, the NO will flash.
Press the UP button once, the NO will change to YES. Press the ENTER button
once to lock your selection.
IR LED Power
You con adjust the IR LED power in night photos to your specific application.
Normal Power This is the most economical power setting.
Perfect for wooded areas, and where game is within 60 ft. of the comer.
Long Range This setting is perfect for pictures in open Oreos, or where game
Moy be out to distances of 80 ft.
SD Card Management
By turning the SD Cord Management feature ON, the camera will erase the oldest
pictures or videos on the SD cord when the SD cord becomes full. This allows
your camera to continue toking pictures if you cont. get to the field to swap
out SD cords.
If the SD Cord Management feature is turned off, when your SD cord fills up,
the camera will not record any additional pictures or videos when triggered
until you change out the SD cord or delete the images.
On Screen Playback
Your con review images and video clips stored on your Browning Trail Camera’s
SD cord using the color TFT display. Simply highlight and select the PLAYBACK
option from the main comer menu.
PLAYBACK CONTROLS
RIGHT/ LEFT BUTTONS Scroll forward and reverse through still images or video
clips
UP BUTTON Access the menu option to delete the current image being viewed, or
deleting all files on the SD cord
ENTER BUTTON When the image displayed is the first frame of o video clip, the
ENTER button starts the video playback
Image Retrieval
The most popular way to review the images on your SD cord is to review the
images on your home computer. The pictures con be viewed on both PC one Mac
computers.
Simply insert the SD cord into the SD cord slot on your desktop or laptop
computer. If your computer does not hove on SD cord slot, you will need on SD
cord reader. These ore inexpensive ond con be found of your local sporting
goods or electronics store.
After your SD cord is inserted into your computer, navigate to START/MY
COMPUTER/. Look for the SD cord icon.
Double click on the SD cord icon. A folder named DCIM will appear. Double
click on the DCIM folder.
A new folder operose with col led l OO_BTCF. Your pictures ore in this folder
.
You con also connect your trail comers to your computer viol o USB coble (not
included). In this close, your comer become the SD cord reader. Follow the
instructions above to locate your picture files.
The SD images on the SD cards can be viewed using the USB connection with any
PC running Microsoft Windows XP or later versions, or a Mac running OSX or
later versions.
Time-lapse Viewer Installation
INSTALLING THE TIMELAPSE VIEWER SOFTWARE IS FOR VIEWING YOUR TIMELAPSE FILES. YOU COMPUTER ALREADY HAS PROGRAMS INSTALLED TO VIEW STILL PICTURES AND VIDEOS CLIPS.
In order to ploy bock your TIMELAPSE FILES, you need to install the Browning
Buck Watch Time-lapse Viewer software. This software will work on only PC
running Windows XP or looter version. The Buck Watch Time-lapse Viewer con be
downloaded
from our website to:
www.browningfroiicomeros.com/Buckwotch.
IMPORTANT: Once you hove loaded the Buck Watch viewer on your computer, o full set of operation instructions is violable by clicking on the HELP icon in the viewer window.
Field Installation
- We recommend mounting your new trail comer of o height of approximately 3 feet off the ground.
- The heavy duty l” nylon strop threads through the strop mounting loops in the bock of the comer one will secure your trail comer to trees large or small.
- For optimal trail comer mounting, we recommend using the Browning Trail Camaro Tree Mount. This mount hoes o locking gambol thot con position your trail comer of the optimal angle.
- The bock of your trail comer is also equipped with built in security coble loops . These ore perfect for using o locking steel coble or o 5/16″ Python'” coble lock (not included).
Warranty
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Your Browning Trail Camera warranty covers your trail camera for one year. We
warrant that your camera will be free from defects in workmanship and
materials when operated in normal use and conditions. This warranty will allow
Browning Trail Cameras, at its discretion, to repair the product or replace it
with a new or refurbished unit.
Warranty limitations:
This warranty does not cover cameras that have been:
- Neglected or abused (including, but not limited to water damage caused by submersion, battery leakage, or improper storage).
- Modifications or repairs by unauthorized agents.
- Damaged cameras that have cracked or broken outer cases due to excessive impact, heat or mishandling .
- Damages caused by wild animals.
WARRANTY SERVICE
In the event warranty service is needed, contact Browning Trail Camera’s
customer service at 1.888.618.4496. Our knowledgeable agents can help
troubleshoot any issues with your trail camera. In the event your camera needs
to be returned for service, our agents will advise the correct mailing address
and RMA number needed for proper service of your unit. You will also need your
original receipt, or proof of purchase for warranty service.
You are responsible for packaging and shipping cost of your camera unit to our
warranty center.
