Product Usage Instructions
Powering On/Off
To power on the tablet, press the Power button. To enter Snooze mode or
wake from Snooze mode, press the Power button.
Charging the Tablet
To charge the tablet, connect it to any 5V USB charger or USB port on your
computer using the supplied USB-C cable. If the battery charge falls between
15% – 20%, you will be alerted. If the battery is completely depleted, the
tablet will automatically turn off.
Note that if the battery has been completely exhausted, it may take a few
minutes to switch on once charging has begun. The tablet can be used during
charging, but this may increase the time needed to fully charge the battery.
Runtime & Battery Life
The runtime of the tablet may vary based on usage patterns, installed
applications, and settings. Factors such as screen brightness, active network
connections, and background processes
can affect the average runtime. To extend battery life, it is recommended to
adjust the screen brightness, close background apps when not in use, disable
location services when not needed, and avoid extreme environments when
possible. It’s important to strike a balance between battery optimization and
your usage habits.
Navigation
The tablet supports pinch-to-zoom and rotate gestures for navigation.
Power and Screen Lock
- Sleep Mode: During prolonged inactive use, the screen will turn off automatically to conserve power. Press the Power button to wake the tablet. Note that this can be adjusted in the Display option under Settings.
- Lock / Unlock: When the tablet is in sleep mode, press the Power button to show the unlock screen. Swipe up to unlock.
Home Screen
The Home screen displays notifications, cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
status indicators, and battery charge level. The following navigation options
are available:
- Back: Opens the previous screen you were looking at. You can go back more than once, but when you reach the Home screen, you can’t go back any further.
- Home: Goes to the Home screen from any application.
- Overview: Finds all open apps. Swipe right until you find the app you want. Tap it to switch to the app.
App Drawer – View All Apps
On the Home screen, swipe up to view all the installed apps on your tablet.
Notification Menu Bar
Swipe down from the top edge of the screen to bring up the notification
menu bar.
Shortcut Menu
Swipe down from the top edge of the screen to bring up the notification
menu bar. Swipe down again to bring up the Shortcut menu. You can slide left
or right to adjust screen brightness and swipe left or right to see other
Shortcut menu items.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
A Wi-Fi connection is required if connecting to the internet (for email,
downloading apps, or web browsing). Follow the steps below to connect to Wi-
Fi:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on “Network & Internet”.
- Tap on “Wi-Fi”.
- Toggle the Wi-Fi switch to ON.
- Select a Wi-Fi network from the available list.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted.
- Tap on “Connect”.
Connecting to 4G Network
To connect to a 4G network, ensure that you have a compatible SIM card
inserted into the Micro SIM card slot. The network status will be displayed in
the top right corner of the screen. If you need to manage your SIM cards, open
the Settings app and go to “Network & Internet” > “SIMs”.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Read all instructions carefully before use.
- Retain this manual for future reference.
- Use this product only in the manner described.
- It is recommended to thoroughly charge the device for the first time. Subsequent charges can be as needed. During charging, or extended use, the product may become warm.
- Unplug when fully charged.
- Remove data cable by pulling it from the plug, not from the cord.
- Use a secure lock screen pattern or PIN.
- Monitor and limit screen time for children.
- Only use a water-dampened soft-cloth to clean the surface of this product. Power off before cleaning.
- The following will damage this product: water or moisture ingress, exposure to prolonged extreme heat or cold; excessive humidity, dust or sand.
- There are no user serviceable parts in this product.
- Unauthorized attempts to dismantle or repair this product will void product warranty and may result in dangerous electric shock.

POWERING ON/OFF
- To turn ON, press and hold the Power button until the screen turns ON.
- To turn OFF, press and hold the Power button until the power screen appears. Then select Power Off.
- To restart the tablet press and hold the Power button until the menu comes up, then select Restart.
Note: At any time you can press the Power button to enter Snooze mode or to wake from Snooze mode.
CHARGING THE TABLET
- Connect your tablet to any 5V USB charger or USB port on your computer using the supplied USB-C cable.
- You will be alerted when the battery charge falls between 15% – 20% depending on your tablet’s usage patterns. If the battery is completely depleted your tablet will automatically turn off.
- Note: If the battery has been completely exhausted, it may take a few minutes to switch on once charging has begun. Your tablet can be used during charging however this may increase the time needed to fully charge the battery.
RUNTIME & BATTERY LIFE
The runtime of your tablet may vary based on usage patterns, installed applications, and settings. The average runtime can be affected by factors such as screen brightness, active network connections, and background processes.
How to extend battery life:
- Lower the screen brightness. Use the adaptive brightness feature or manually adjust it based on your surroundings.
- Close unnecessary apps running in the background.
- Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data when not in use.
- Set a shorter screen timeout period.
- Use the built-in power-saving features on your tablet.
- Use location services sparingly. Turn off location services when not needed.
- Avoid using the tablet in very hot or cold environments when possible.
Note: While these tips can help maximize battery life, it’s essential to strike a balance between battery optimization and your usage habits.
NAVIGATION
- Tap to select – To select or start something on your phone, tap it.
- Tap to type – To type something, tap where you want to type. You’ll find a keyboard open.
- Tap and hold – Touch and hold an item on the screen. After the item responds, lift your finger.
- Drag and drop – Touch and hold an item. Without lifting your finger, move your finger on the screen. When your finger is in the right place, lift it to drop the item.
- Double tap – On some pages like a web page or map, tap twice to zoom in.
- Slide / Swipe – Quickly move your finger across the surface of the screen without pausing.
- Pinch & spread to change size – In some apps, put 2 or more fingers on the screen to change the size. To shrink, pinch your fingers together. To enlarge, spread them apart.
POWER AND SCREEN LOCK

- Note: This can be adjusted in Display option under Settings.

On the home page, swipe up to view all the installed apps on your tablet.

- Swipe down again to bring up the Shortcut menu.
CONNECTING TO WI-FI
A Wi-Fi connection is required if connecting to the internet (for email,
downloading apps or web browsing).
Follow the steps below to connect to Wi-Fi:
- On your tablet, open the Settings app.
- Go to Network & Internet > Internet: Wi-Fi
- Tap the desired network name. If this network connects successfully, Connected will appear. If the network is encrypted, enter the password then tap Connect.
- Your tablet will indicate when the network connection is ready for use when the Wi-Fi icon appears on the top right notification bar.
CONNECTING TO 4G NETWORK
- Turn off the tablet.
- Insert the Micro SIM card as shown below.
- Turn on the tablet. 4G LTE icon will be in the top right corner of the screen.
- To manage SIM settings, tap on the Settings app and go to Network & Internet > SIMs.
CONNECTING VIA BLUETOOTH
- Turn on Bluetooth on your connecting device.
- On your tablet, open the Settings app.
- Go to Connected devices.
- Tap Pair new device.
- Tap on the name of your device. If you do not see your device listed, tap Scan for device to refresh the list.
- You may be prompted to enter a PIN or passcode on your tablet or the other device.
- Enter the code and tap Pair.
- You may also be asked to grant certain permissions; review them and tap Pair.
INSERTING SD CARD
- Insert the Micro SD card (supported up to 128 GB) as shown below.
- SD card icon will be in the top left corner of the screen.
- To manage SD card settings, tap on the Settings app and go to Storage.
- Select SD card from the drop down list.
CONNECTING TO A COMPUTER VIA USB
- Connect the included USB cable to your tablet and the computer.
- By default, the tablet will start charging.
- To enable file transfer, tap Settings icon and go to Connected devices > USB > USB preferences > select:
- USB controlled by: This device (recommended)
- Use USB for: File transfer
WHY CREATE A GOOGLE ACCOUNT
To maximise your tablet’s functionality, it is recommended to create a Google account. It provides:
- Access to Google Play Store with millions of apps, games, movies, music, and books.
- Automatically backup app data and sync settings across devices.
- Enhance tablet security and locate it if lost using the pre-installed Find My Device app.
- Parental control and monitoring your child’s device via Google Family Link. Approve or block app installations, set screen time limits, and review app activity to ensure a balanced and safe online environment.
- Backup photos and videos to Google Photos on the cloud.
- Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides are all part of the Google family. Create, edit, and share documents, manage emails, and collaborate in real-time, all from your tablet.
- Personalize YouTube and enjoy curated recommendations and seamless transitions.
GOOGLE PLAY
- Open the Google Play and set up your account. If you have an existing account select Existing, otherwise choose New to create a new account and follow the set-up steps.
- The home screen displays featured apps, games, and other content.
- Use the search bar at the top to find specific apps, games, or other content.
- When you find an app you want, tap on it to view details.
- If you decide to install an app, tap the Install button. You may be asked to grant certain permissions to the app; review them and proceed.
- Access your installed apps by going back to the home screen or using the app drawer.
- Periodically, apps receive updates for bug fixes and new features. To update apps, open Google Play Store, tap your account image in top right corner, go to Manage apps and device and tap Updates.
GOOGLE KIDS SPACE
- Google Kids Space is an Android tablet experience with content to help kids discover, create, and grow. Kids can access apps, books, and videos that are targeted to their age and interests.
- Note: Google Kids Space provides a safe environment for your child and does not allow access to other apps and tablet features. Your child will not be able to exit from Kids Space once the app has started. If the tablet is turned once the app has started. If the tablet is turned off, then your child will only be able to access any apps that were deemed safe during the Family Link app setup process.

GOOGLE KIDS SPACE – SET UP
- Tap Google Kids Space to open it.
- Create a new Google Kids account or login with an already existing Google Kids account.
- Link the Google kids account to a parent Google Account (if you do not have a Google account or one that can be used as a parent’s account, then you will need to set one up first.)
- Setup permissions, accessible apps and content security for your child.
- When you have finished the setup open Google Kids Space your child can create their own profile.
GOOGLE KIDS SPACE – TURN OFF
- From the home screen in Google Kids Space, press and hold the Parent menu icon in the bottom right corner.
- Tap on Exit Kids Space.
- Confirm your Google Account password to verify you’re the parent.
Tips:
- If you turn on Google Kids Space later with your child’s Google Account, your child’s settings will be restored.
- If you don’t find Google Kids Space in the Parental Controls menu, update the Google Kids Space app to the latest version and try again.
After adding a Kid’s Profile or if you have multiple users you can switch users in the lock screen interface.

- Tap the Power button on the side of the tablet to enter the lock screen mode.
- The icon will appear at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap and the user menu will appear.
- Select the corresponding user to switch profiles.
RESET YOUR TABLET
The hard reset process, also known as factory reset, wipes all your data and settings from your tablet and reverts it to its original state. It’s a useful troubleshooting step if you’re facing software issues or want to completely erase your device before selling it.
- Back up your data: Before you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up all your important data, as the process will erase everything from your device.
- Charge your device: Make sure your device is sufficiently charged before starting the hard reset process, as it can take some time to complete.
- Know your Google account details: You will need to enter your Google account details after the reset to set up your device again.
Method 1: Through settings (if accessible)
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Tap System.
- Scroll down and tap Reset options.
- Tap Erase all data (factory reset).
- Review the information on the screen and tap Erase all data.
- Enter your PIN, password, or pattern to confirm the reset.
- Your device will be erased and reset to factory settings.
Method 2: Through Recovery Mode (if your device is locked or unresponsive)
- Power off your tablet completely.
- Press and hold the Power button one second and then (while holding down the Power button), press and hold the Volume Down button until you see the Recovery Mode menu.
- Use the Volume buttons to select Wipe data/factory reset.
- Press the Power button to confirm the option.
- Use the Volume buttons to select Factory data reset.
- Press the Power button to confirm.
- Your tablet will be erased and reset to factory settings.
- Use the Volume buttons to select Reboot system now.
- Press the Power button to restart the tablet.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- I cannot turn my tablet ON
- Ensure your tablet is charged.
- Connect the power adaptor, and then check again after sufficient charge time.
- Using a pin, press the Reset button to restart the tablet.
- Reset the device using Method 2 on page 27.
- I cannot hear anything through my headset or the sound quality is bad
- Ensure speakers are not obstructed.
- Ensure volume is turned up.
- Check the music file on another device to make sure it is not damaged.
- Try using another pair of headphones.
- I cannot copy file or play music
- Check the USB cable connection to you computer is secure.
- Check the USB cable is not damaged using another device.
- Ensure file transfer is enabled (see page 19).
- Ensure there is enough spare storage on the tablet.
- Tablet displays a network or service error message
- Check the strength of the Wi-Fi signal.
- Check that the Wi-Fi service is available and operating correctly.
- Touchscreen is slow and not working correctly
- Make sure the protective film has been removed from the screen.
- Ensure that your fingers are dry and clean.
- Restart your tablet.
- Ensure the touch screen is not scratched or damaged.
- Tablet is frozen or severe error has occurred
- Using a pin, press the Reset button to restart the tablet.
- Restore or reset the tablet to factory default settings via the settings menu (see pages 26-27).
- Tablet has become hot while in use or while charging
Some applications can consume more power than others causing the tablet to become warm while in use or if used for extended amounts of time. This is normal and won’t affect the life or performance of your tablet.
