SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT

  • This player is classified as a Class 1 laser product. Avoid direct exposure to laser radiation as it may cause harm to eyes. 
  • Read the instruction manual before installation and use. 
  • Use this product only as directed.
  • Do not disassemble the unit; seek qualified servicing. 
  • Unauthorized attempts to dismantle or repair void the warranty and may cause electric shock. 
  • Avoid opening the drive door while the disc is spinning. 
  • Avoid exposing this product to liquids, direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, humidity or dusty environments.
  • Ensure ventilation holes are not covered. 
  • Place the device on stable surfaces with secure cables to prevent falls. 
  • Do not use the monitor unit or headphones while driving or operating any vehicle, as it may cause accidents. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws regarding product usage in vehicles. 
  • Mount the product thoughtfully to minimize distractions for other drivers. 
  • Clean with a soft, dry cloth only – no chemicals or cleaners. 
  • Use only the supplied charger to prevent explosion risks; dispose of batteries properly.

Caring for Discs:

  • Keep discs away from heat sources and high humidity. 
  • Stack discs properly. 
  • Hold discs by the edges, not the surface. 
  • Do not use adhesive tape on the disc surface. 
  • Wipe discs from the centre outwards with a soft cloth. 
  • Do not use cleaning agents or antistatic sprays.

1. Power: Turn the player On or Off.
2. Display: Show current content info.
3. TFT: Turn the screen On or Off.
4. Mute: Silence audio.
5. Repeat: Loop title, chapter, or track.
6. Search: Pick title, chapter, track, title time, track time.
7. Zoom: Make the image bigger/smaller.
8. Program: Program favourite tracks or chapters on discs.
9. Setup: Enter or exit setup menu.
10. Mode 1: Switch between AV and DVD modes.
11. Play/Pause: Pause or resume playback.
12. Stop: Halt playback.
13. Up: Navigate menus up.
14. Left: Navigate menus left.
15. Right: Navigate menus right.
16. Down: Navigate menus down.
17. OK: Confirm choice or setting.
18. Audio: Choose DVD audio language.
19. Mode 2: Switch between DVD, USB and SD card.
20. A-B: Mark a section to repeat.
21. Number pad: Input in menus or passwords.
22. Sub/Copy: During playback, change subtitles or turn them off/on.
23. Rewind: Speed playback backward 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x and 32x.
24. Fast forward: Speed playback forward 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x and 32x.
25. Previous: Skip chapters or tracks backward.
26. Next: Skip chapter or track forward.
27. Angle: View disc’s available camera angles.
28. DVD title: Return to disc main menu.
29. Volume down: Lower the volume.
30. Volume up: Raise the volume.

OPERATION
Connecting to power

Indoor use

  1. Plug the wall power adaptor into a power outlet.
  2. Connect the other end to the DVD player’s DC power jack.
  3. Turn on the power outlet.
  4. Switch the DVD player on.

In-car use

  1. With the vehicle ignition off, connect the car adaptor to the vehicle’s 12V power socket.
  2. Connect the other end to the DVD player’s DC power jack.
  3. Turn the vehicle ignition on.
  4. Switch the DVD player on.

Be careful with all cables and connections on the DVD player. Make sure there’s no tension on any connection, as it could damage the unit. Also, watch out for excess cabling that could become trip hazards and potentially harm the player.

Loading and playing a disc:

  1. Connect power to the DVD player, then slide the power button to On position. 
  2. Open the DVD cover, then place a disc gently into the tray with the label facing up. 
  3. You’ll hear and feel the disc snap into place.
  4. Close the DVD cover until it clicks shut. The unit will load the disc and start playback.

Play/Pause

  • Press the Play/Pause button on the remote to pause playback. 
  • Press it again to resume.

To stop playback:

  • Press Stop once to pause. Press Play to resume from where you stopped. 
  • Double-press Stop to clear the last memory. Playback will restart from the start.

Fast Forward/Rewind:

  • Press Fast Forward to speed up. 
  • Press Fast Rewind to go back quickly.
  • Speed can be adjusted from 2X to 32X.

Menu:

  • DVDs are divided into titles and chapters. Press Menu during playback to see the options.

Playback and Remaining Time:

  • Press Display during playback to see title and chapter info.
  • The display disappears after 3 seconds if not pressed.

Search:

Press Search to cycle through time options:
Elapsed time of title, Remaining time of title,
Elapsed time of chapter, Remaining time of chapter,
Turn off display.

Angle:

Press Angle during playback to see available angles.

Not all discs have this feature.

Subtitle:

  • Press Sub to choose subtitle language.
  • Press again for more languages.
  • Press until “Subtitles off” for no subtitles.

Some DVDs only let you access this feature through the DVD menu.

Audio:

  • Press Audio to select audio language.
  • Press again for more languages.
  • The display disappears after 3 seconds if not pressed.

Repeat:

Press Repeat to cycle through repeat options:
Repeat current chapter, Repeat current title, Repeat all chapters and titles, Resume normal playback.

  • Press Setup on the remote to open the setup menu. 
  • Use or buttons to navigate between settings. 
  • Press OK to enter a setting. 
  • Navigate to the desired feature using the / buttons. 
  • Press the button to access the sub menu. 
  • Select an option with the / buttons and confirm with OK
  • Press to go back or Setup to exit.

Not all discs have these features; some depend on the disc.

TV System:

Select the video output format when connected to an external screen:

  • PAL: Output is PAL only; used in Australia.
  • NTSC: Output is NTSC only.

Screen aver

  • On: Activates screen saver after five minutes of inactivity.

TV Type

  • Choose the aspect ratio to match the movie you’re watching.

Password

  • Reset your password.

You need the current password to change it.
Default password is 0000.

Rating

  • Choose a parental control level from 1 (kids safe) to 8 (adult). Restrict playback with a password if needed.

Requires parental control on the disc.

Default

  • Reset the player to factory settings.

Not all discs have these features; some depend on the disc.

OSD (On-Screen Display):

Choose OSD language from several options.

Audio:

Set the default language for DVD audio.

Subtitle:

Set the default language for DVD subtitles.

Disc Menu:

Set the default language for DVD menus.

Availability depends on the DVD.

Use / buttons to change the Key value.

Adjust the image quality.

Brightness:

Control how bright or dim the screen appears.

Contrast:

Adjust the difference between the lightest and darkest parts of the picture.

Hue:

Change the overall colour tint of the video.

Saturation:

Control the intensity of colours, making them more or less vibrant.

Sharpness:

Adjust the clarity and detail of the image.

Dynamic range:

Adjust the difference between the softest and loudest sounds in the audio.

Dual Mono:

Adjust how the audio is played through the player’s speakers.

  • Stereo: Plays audio through both the left and right channels with distinct left or right channel separation. 
  • Mono-L: Combines both the left and right channels and outputs them through the left speaker. 
  • Mono-R: Combines both the left and right channels and outputs them through the right speaker. 
  • Mono-Mix: Combines the left and right channels and plays them through both speakers without distinct left or right channel separation.
TROUBLESHOOTING

No sound or distorted sound?

  • Make sure the audio isn’t muted. 
  • See if the player’s volume is turned up. 
  • Check if your DVD is connected properly. Ensure all cables are securely inserted into the right jacks. 
  • If playing a DVD, check if you’ve chosen the correct audio language in the setup menu. 
  • Try different audio outputs like headphones to find the issue.

No Power

  • Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into the player and the power source. 
  • Test the power source with another device to check if it’s working. 
  • Look for damage on the power cable and replace if needed. 
  • If using batteries, replace them with new ones.

Can’t advance through a movie?

  • You can’t skip through opening credits and warnings because the disc prevents it.

The icon (Ø) appears on the screen?

  • This feature can’t be used right now because: 
    • The disc’s software restricts it. 
    • The disc’s software doesn’t support the feature, like angles. 
    • The feature isn’t available. 
    • You’ve selected a title or chapter number that’s out of range.

Picture is distorted?

  • Try another disc as the current one might be damaged. 
  • Some distortion during fast forward or rewind is normal. 
  • Adjust video settings like brightness and contrast in the setup menu.

No forward or reverse scan?

  • Some discs don’t allow rapid scanning or skipping chapters. 
  • You can’t skip through warnings and credits at the start of a movie as it’s often locked.

DVD player doesn’t respond to remote’s signal

  • Point the remote directly at the player’s IR sensor. 
  • Check if the remote’s battery is fresh. 
  • Ensure nothing is blocking the remote sensor.

Disc won’t play?

  • Insert the disc with the label side facing up. 
  • Check the disc type—it should be a DVD, audio CD, or MP3. 
  • Clean the disc and check for scratches. 
  • Test with a different disc to see if the current one is faulty.

Play starts, but then stops immediately?

  • Clean or replace the scratched or dirty disc. 
  • Wait an hour in case condensation formed inside the player. 
  • Ensure the player’s temperature is within the operating range.
