Use the WRENCH (C) supplied to ensure all nuts are tightened and secured
before carefully inverting the assembled Fire Pit into the upright position.
OPERATION
Set up the Square Fire Pit in a safe area with sufficient space and ensure it is set on a secure level surface before placing 3-4 small logs into the centre before adding the GRILL (3).
NOTE: Ensure the logs are halved as they will burn quicker. Lay the logs side by side and stack on top like a pyramid but make sure there is space between to allow for air circulation. If required, add several pieces of charcoal or charcoal blocks to aid the fire.
TIP: Scrunched up newspaper or small branches will aid the fire quicker.
Ignite using long safety matches or a long nosed lighter (not supplied).
WARNING! NEVER ignite the contents of the Square Fire Pit using liquid grill lighters. Avoid adding too much flammable materials as this can cause the flame to emerge through the MESH.
WARNING! NEVER leave a fire unattended and keep children and pets well away when ignited.
Allow the fire to extinguish on its own, or extinguish the fire using the
POKER to carefully spread the contents around the base of the Square Fire Pit.
Adding a layer of sand and spreading again with the POKER will quickly put out
the fire.
WARNING! NEVER use water to douse the fire as this can cause rusting to the BOWL and could also produce steam that poses a scalding hazard. Allow the Fire Pit to cool completely before cleaning.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Once the fire is completely extinguished, use the HANDLES to slightly tilt the FIRE PIT and remove the ashes by sweeping them ashes out of the centre and into a suitable disposal container.
NOTE: It is recommended to do this as soon as possible after use. Having ashes from a previous fire remain at the bottom will slow down new fires you wish to build.
Store in a cool dry place.
Ensure the Square Fire Pit is clean and dry, thoroughly cool and thoroughly cleaned of all ash and unused fuel/coals before storing.
Protect from severe weather conditions. We recommend that you use a cover to protect this item when not in use.
CAUTION: The Square Fire Pit must be completely cool before covering.
