Description
The PTT Switch Cable is designed to be used with the VS-4LA, VS-4MC, VS-4SC, and VS-5MC models. It works in conjunction with the optional HS-94, HS-95, or HS-97 headset. The cable features a PTT Toggle switch and a PTT Push switch for transmitting and receiving audio. It also includes a status indicator that lights up when thePTT Toggle switch is turned on.
The PTT Switch Cable can be easily attached to your pocket or collar using the rotary clip. Please refer to the Icom website for a list of compatible transceivers.

Usage Instructions
Step 1: Connection
- Connect the PTT Switch Cable to your compatible transceiver based on the model:

Step
2: PTT Toggle Switch
- The PTT Toggle switch allows you to toggle between transmit and receive modes. When the switch is turned on, the status indicator lights up red. When the switch is turned off, the indicator is notlit.
Step 3: PTT Push Switch
- The PTT Push switch is used for transmitting and receiving audio. Hold the switch to transmit and release it to receive. ThePTT Push switch is disabled while the status indicator is lit.
- Note : If other stations have difficulty hearing your voice, you can adjust the mic gain. Refer to the instruction manual of yourtransceiver or contact your Icom dealer or distributor for advice.

PRECAUTIONS
- A WARNING! NEVER place any heavy object on the cable, or pinch it.
- DO NOT drop the cable on a hard surface. If the switch case is deformed, strained, or cracked, the protection against dust and water may not be maintained.
- DO NOT expose the cable to direct sunlight. It may deform or discolor the cable.
- DO NOT use the clip on clothing that might get damaged.
- Be sure to turn OFF the transceiver’s power before attaching or detaching the headset. Otherwise, a malfunction may occur, or it may damage the transceiver, headset, or the cable.
- Use with only the specified Icom transceiver or headset. Oth- erwise it may damage the transceiver, headset, or cable.
- Keep the cable out of the reach of children.
