INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

FIRST USE

  • This scale works with a replaceable 3V CR2032 lithium battery.
  • At first use, remove the battery’s protective film prior to use.

UNIT SELECTION
Turn on the scale and step on, checking the unit of measurement shown on the display (kg, lb or st). To change the unit of measurement, step off the scale and press the button located on the base of the scale.

USE

  1. Place the scale on a flat, sturdy surface. An uneven or disjointed floor (e.g. rug, carpet, linoleum) may compromise the accuracy of the detected weight.
  2. With the scale off, step on with your feet parallel and your weight equally distributed (see drawing). Do not move until the scale has measured your weight. Do not lean on anything during measuring in order to avoid altering the detected weight.
  3. Step off the scale.

The display will continue to show the weight for a few seconds and will then shut off automatically.
⚠ Each time the scale is moved and then returned to its resting surface, the first weight must not be considered due to reorganization of the electronic board with the loading cells. Consider the second and successive weights as in certain cases the first one could be altered for the reason mentioned above.

REPLACING BATTERIES
When the “LO” or the battery symbol appears on the display, replace the battery with a similar type.

  1. Open the battery compartment, sliding the lid in the direction of the arrow.
  2. Remove the worn battery, lifting it with the help of a tool if necessary. Dispose of the battery as indicated in the “Disposal procedure” paragraph.
  3. Insert a new battery in accordance with the indicated polarity. 4. Close the battery compartment.

MAINTENANCE

  • Store the device in a well-ventilated and dry place.
  • Store the device in a horizontal position
  • Only clean the scale with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Never use chemicals or abrasives.
