Precautions

  • The power cord of the unit should be unplugged from the outlet when the unit will not be used for a long time, or when moving the unit or cleaning.
  • To clean this unit, unplug it from the supply and wipe it with a soft dry cloth.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Do not let water enter the unit. Make sure the unit is completely dry before reconnecting to the supply.
  • Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, refrigerators, stoves or other appliances that may radiate heat.
  • Do not use this unit in a humid or dusty environment. Objects containing water, such as vases, should not be placed on the device.
  • The unit should be repaired by qualified service personnel in the following cases:
    • The power plug or cable has been damaged.
    • Objects have fallen or liquid has been spilled on the appliance.
    • The unit has been exposed to rain.
    • The unit is functioning abnormally.
  • Never pull the plug from the socket by means of yanking on the cord. Pull the plug from the socket by means of a firm grasp on the plug.

Bluetooth Operation

  1. Press the BT button on the unit or the remote control to switch to the BLUETOOTH CONNECT mode.
  2. Open the Bluetooth function on your external device (like a smartphone). Search for ‘MW-T280’ and connect to it.
  3. Once connected, you can hear a small sound from the speaker.
  4. You can use the key on the unit or the remote control to control the tracks of the external device.
  5. Press the button on the unit or the remote control to stop/play music.
  6. Press and hold the button on the unit or the remote control to disconnect or reconnect the bluetooth.
    Note: This speaker does not need a password.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power
1. Ensure that the AC power plug of the speaker is connected properly.
2. Ensure that there is power at the AC outlet.
  • No sound or poor sound

    • Inspect the function and adjust the volume.
    • Check if speaker is muted.
  • Intermittent music in Bluetooth mode
    Check if the effective connection distance is exceeded or whether there are obstacles between the speaker and BT device.

  • Remote control does not work

1. Ensure that the right source is selected.
2. Use the remote control within its range without any objects between the remote control and the unit.
3. Try replacing the batteries ensuring correct polarities as marked.
4. Aim the remote control towards the receiver on the display screen of the unit.
  • Bluetooth can not search or connect
1. If other bluetooth devices are connected to your phone, try disconnecting these first, then search and connect again.
2. Turn off the speaker and turn on again, then switch to bluetooth mode.
3. Turn off and turn on bluetooth on your external device.
