INTRODUCTION
FIELD OF APPLICATION
The TUBELITE WHITE RECEIVER 100 io and TUBELITE WHITE RECEIVER 200 io
are receivers equipped with io-homecontrol® radio technology. They enable you
to independently control one or two white LED light source(s) connected to the
constant voltage output(s) (24 V), via a Somfy io-homecontrol® control point,
e.g. Situo 1 or 5 Variation io (for more details, contact your retailer).
These receivers enables you to vary the light intensity of the LED lights, and
program a favourite light intensity, i.e. the favourite position: this
favourite position can for instance be set to night-lighting. The factory
default setting for the favourite light intensity is 50% of the maximum
intensity.
Their shape enables the manufacturers to install them discreetly in the fabric
rolling tube on the other end from the drive, connecting them directly to the
mains power supply.
These receivers’ IP44 index protection rating makes them suitable for outdoor
use, and ideal for controlling the lighting of an awning or a rail-guided
fabric pergola (RGS).
LIABILITY
Before installing and using the receiver, please read this instructions guide
carefully.
It must be installed by a home automation professional, in accordance with
Somfy’s instructions and the regulations applicable in the country in which it
is commissioned.
Any operation of the receiver outside the field of application described above
is prohibited. Such use, and any failure to comply with the instructions given
in this instructions guide, would exempt Somfy of any liability and invalidate
the warranty.
The installer must inform their customers of the operating and maintenance
conditions of the receiver, and must provide them with the operating and
maintenance instructions after installing it. Any After-Sales Service
operation on the receiver must be performed by a home automation professional.
Never begin installing without first checking the compatibility of this
product with the associated equipment and accessories.
In case of any doubt when installing the receiver or for additional
information, consult a Somfy contact or visit
www.somfy.com.
INSTALLATION
ASSEMBLY
Warning
- These instructions are mandatory for the home automation professional installing this product.
- Comply with current standards and legislation in the country of installation.
Caution
- Comply with standard NF C 15-100 relating to electrical installations.
- Make sure that the power of the LED lights connected to the receiver does not exceed 4.2 A per output.
Attention
- Cables passing through a metal wall must be protected and insulated using a sheath or sleeve.
- Secure the cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
- The receiver cable cannot be removed. If it is damaged, return the receiver to the After-Sales service.
- To ensure good radio reception, ensure that the outside antenna is not in contact with any metal item.
- Do not trim the antenna wire.
- Never drop, knock, drill or submerge the product.
Tubelite preparation
- Fit the accessories required for incorporating the Tubelite into the roller tube on the other end from the drive using the crown a and the drive wheel b on the Tubelite.
- Measure the length (L) between the inner edge of the Tubelite head and the rim of the drive wheel.
Tube preparation
On the other end from the drive, deburr the roller tube and remove the swarf.
Tubelite-tube assembly
- Slide the Tubelite into the roller tube.
- Lock the drive wheel to prevent movement along the roller tube:
- This can be done either by fastening the roller tube on the drive wheel using Ø 5 mm self-tapping screws, or Ø 4.8 mm steel pop rivets positioned 5 mm to 15 mm from the outer rim of the drive wheel, regardless of the roller tube.
- This can be done either by fastening the roller tube on the drive wheel using Ø 5 mm self-tapping screws, or Ø 4.8 mm steel pop rivets positioned 5 mm to 15 mm from the outer rim of the drive wheel, regardless of the roller tube.
Attention
The screws or pop rivets must only be fastened on the drive wheel, and not on the Tubelite.
- Alternatively, a drive wheel stop can be used for non-smooth tubes.
Fitting the tube-Tubelite assembly
-
Mount and fasten the tube-Tubelite and drive assembly on the Tubelite bracket c and the motor head bracket d:
Attention
Ensure that the tube-Tubelite and drive assembly is locked on the Tubelite bracket and the drive bracket. This operation prevents the tube-Tubelite and drive assembly from coming out of the mounting brackets. -
Fit the stop rings e according to the bracket type.
WIRING
Danger
Cut off the mains power supply.
Connect the receiver to one or more white LED lights (A) or (B) and to
the mains power supply (C), adhering to the polarity, as per the table and
illustration below.
