Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Remove Top Black Magnet
Using your thumb, slide the top black magnet off the sensor. Do not try to
lift the magnet off. Instead, slide it off as shown:
Step 2: Attach the Sensor to Your Umbrella
- A. Hold the sensor underneath the canopy in the position shown below, depending on your umbrella type.
- B. Place the black magnet on top of the canopy over the sensor. The two parts should automatically join.
For folded umbrella: Position black magnet 3 inches from the top.
For long-shaft umbrella: Position halfway down the full length of the panel.
IMPORTANT: Once removed, keep the magnet and sensor separated (> 2+ ft) so they are not attracted to each other. Be careful! The magnet is strong and will forcefully attach back to the sensor.

Step 3: Pair Sensor to Your Phone
- Download the free Davek Loss Alert app on your phone from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Start the app and make sure you ALLOW all permission requests (location, notifications, etc.) during the first launch. For Location Permission, be sure to choose Always Allow. For more information, visit www.davekny.com/instructions.
- Place the phone near the umbrella (less than 1 ft).
- To pair the umbrella to the app, slide the ON/OFF button to ON. You should receive an activation message within 10 seconds: “Umbrella is connected”. Now, if you walk away from the umbrella(~30 ft), you will receive a “Connection is lost” notification within 60 seconds. Walk back to the umbrella to automaticallyre-connect.

- KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN: Small magnets are a choking hazard. If swallowed, this can cause a severe health risk.
- MEDICAL DEVICE INTERFERENCE: Magnetic fields can affect pacemakers, ICDs, and other implanted medical devices. Avoid use if you are using these medical devices.
- USE AS INTENDED: This device is intended to be attached to your umbrella canopy. Using it otherwise may result in a lost device and/or magnet.

The Davek Loss Alert Sensor is a digital tether that allows you to pair your phone to your umbrella. If the distance between your umbrella and your phone exceeds ~30 ft, the sensor will send an alert to yourphone. Never accidentally leave your umbrella behind again!

INSTRUCTION
STEP 1: REMOVE TOP BLACK MAGNET
Using your thumb, slide the top black magnet off the sensor. Do not try to
lift the magnet off. Instead, slide it off as shown:

STEP 2: ATTACH THE SENSOR TO YOUR UMBRELLA
- Hold sensor underneath canopy in position shown below, depending on your umbrella type.
- Place black magnet on top of canopy over sensor. The two parts should automatically join.

FOR LONG-SHAFT UMBRELLA
Position halfway down full length of panel
