*10W of power is dedicated to USB 3.2 ports when a USB charger is connected to the USB-C charging port. The hub port supports up to 5V 1.5A (7.5W). The other two ports support up to 5V 0.9A (4.5W) each. When maxing out one port’s
power, the other ports’ power is reduced. All three ports will not be able to provide full power simultaneously, meaning external power may be required for some connected peripherals.

Installation

Notes:

  • Dual-output video is supported under MST in the following manner: MDP and VGA, or MDP and HDMI.
  • VGA and HDMI will not work simultaneously.
  • The MDP port can be converted to an HDMI port with the use of a passive MDP to HDMI cable.
  • If your Mac does not support MST mode, only the mDP monitor will be detected and dual mode will not work.
  • When two monitors are connected simultaneously, the mDP will allocate the necessary bandwidth first. The remaining bandwidth (up to 10.8G) will be allocated to the second connected monitor.
  • If two displays are connected simultaneously and the resolution of one display is higher than the other, the second monitor may not function due to a lack of bandwidth between the two ports. It is recommended to use the  ameresolution for both displays to prevent this from happening.
  • When connected to power through USB-C charging port, 15W is dedicated to docking station and connected USB peripherals. Remaining power is used to charge connected USB-C device.
  • See Optional Accessories section for suggested cables.
  • When the unit is connected to the USB-C port on your computer and to a network via Cat5e/6 cabling, a network connection will be automatically established. If no connection is made, you can manually establish one by going to your computer’s network settings page. For example, on a Mac you would navigate to the Network section found in System Preferences, click the ‘Assist Me’ button to get to the Network Setup Assistant, then follow the prompts to establish a connection.
  1. Connect USB-C port to USB-C port on your laptop, tablet or other device.
  2. Connect VGA port to VGA port on your monitor using a VGA cable.
  3. Connect HDMI port to HDMI port on your monitor using an HDMI cable.
  4. Connect mDP port to mDP port on your monitor using an mDP cable.
  5. Connect USB-A hub ports to USB peripherals.
  6. Connect RJ45 port to Ethernet network using UTP cable.
  7. Connect 3.5 mm mini stereo port to speaker or microphone using 3.5 mm audio cable.
  8. Insert Micro SD and/or SD/MMC card into corresponding slot to access external memory.
  9. Charge device by connecting its USB-C charger to adapter’s USB-C port.
