OVERVIEW

LASER CDBB-BT500 Bluetooth CD MP3 Boombox - parts

  1. Open
    Press to open the CD tray.

  2. Power
    Press to turn on/off.

  3. FUN/EQ [Function/Equaliser]
    Press to switch input modes: Radio/CD/USB/
    AUX/Bluetooth.
    Long press to switch between equaliser modes: Classical, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Flat.

  4. Power indicator
    Red – in standby; not lit – Boombox is on.

  5. [Previous/Next]
    Radio mode:
    Short press to skip to previous/next frequency.
    Long press to find previous/next radio station.
    CD/USB mode:
    Short press to skip to previous/next track.
    Long press to rewind/fast-forward.

  6. Aux. audio in – Connect to an external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player, records player).

  7. USB port – Connect a USB flash drive with music files.

  8. Headphones
    Connect your headphones or use an AUX audio cable to connect to another speaker.

  9. /P+/Scan
    Radio mode:
    Short press to skip to the next preset station.
    Long press to automatically scan radio stations and store them as presets.
    CD/USB mode:
    Press to pause; press again to play.

  10. /RPT/MEM [Stop/Repeat/Memory]
    Radio mode:
    Press to manually store a station as a preset.
    CD/USB mode:
    Press once to cycle between Repeat modes:
    One, All, Off.
    Long press to stop playback.

  11. VOL-/VOL+
    Press to decrease/increase the volume.

  12. AC Power port – Connect to power using the supplied cable.

POWER

Disconnect the power cable. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment, noting the correct polarity as shown inside the battery compartment.

CD

  1. Push OPEN, place a disc in the CD compartment, and then close the cover.
    NOTE: The label side should face up.

  2. Press the FUN/EQ button and select Cd to enter the CD mode.
    The disc will load, display the total number of tracks on the screen and start playing.

  3. Press /P+/SCAN button to pause playback.
    Press again to restart playback.

  4. Press the or button to skip to previous or next track, respectively.
    Press and hold the same button to rewind or fast-forward a track, respectively.

  5. Press /RPT/MEM button to set Repeat function: One, All, Off.
    Press and hold the button to stop playback.

BLUETOOTH

  1. Press the FUN/EQ button and select bt to enter Bluetooth mode.
  2. On your connecting device, enable Bluetooth.
  3. In the Bluetooth settings, search for nearby devices.
  4. Look for CDBB-BT500 in the list of available devices. If it doesn’t appear, return to step 1.
  5. When you see CDBB-BT500 in the list, select it to start the Bluetooth pairing process, and confirm.
  6. Once pairing is successful, any audio played on your device should now come through the boombox.
  7. Adjust the volume on the external device and on the boombox to get the desired sound level.
  8. Use the controls on the boombox or your external music player to play, pause or skip tracks.

FM RADIO

  1. Press the FUN/EQ button and select rad to enter the FM radio mode.

  2. Press and hold the /P+/SCAN button to automatically scan the frequency range for radio stations and store them in presets. Supports 20 presets.

  3. Press the /P+/SCAN button to select the next preset radio station.

  4. Press the or button to manually search radio stations. Each press will move the frequency up/down by 0.01 MHz.
    Press and hold the buttons to search for the previous/next station.

  5. To begin manually assigning a preset number to a radio station, press the /RPT/MEM button.
    Press the /P+/SCAN button to pick a preset number. Press the /RPT/MEM button again to save the station to the preset.

USB

  1. Plug in your USB flash drive with music files.
  2. Press the FUN/EQ button and select USb to enter USB mode. The playback will begin automatically.
  3. Press the or button to skip to previous or next track, respectively. Press and hold the same button to rewind or fast-forward a track, respectively.
  4. Press the /RPT/MEM button to set Repeat function: One, File, All, Off.
  5. Press and hold the /RPT/MEM button to stop playback.
  6. Press the /P+/SCAN button to restart playback.

Turn off playback and then switch to a different input mode or turn off the device before removing the USB flash drive. Removing the USB flash drive without following these steps may result in data corruption or USB flash drive damage.

AUX IN

  1. Connect one end of an AUX audio cable (not supplied) to the 3.5mm AUX port on the boombox.
  2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack on the external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player, records player).
  3. Press the FUN/EQ button and select AUX.
  4. Turn on the external music player and start playing music. You should now be able to hear the music from the external music player playing through the boombox.
  5. Adjust the volume on the external device and on the boombox to get the desired sound level.
  6. Use the controls on your external music player to play, pause or skip tracks.

TROUBLESHOOTING

No Power/Unit Doesn’t Turn On

  • Ensure the boombox is properly plugged into a working power outlet.
  • Verify that the LED power indicator is lit red (indicates it’s in Standby.)
  • Check if the batteries are properly installed and not depleted.

No Sound

  • Make sure the volume is turned up on the boombox and your external device.
  • Check if the audio source (USB, AUX in, Bluetooth, etc.) is properly connected and playing.
  • Inspect the audio cable connections for the AUX Audio IN and headphones out for loose or damaged cables.

CD/MP3 Playback Issues

  • Ensure the CD is clean and free of scratches or dirt.
  • Check that the CD lens and disc tray are clean.
  • Make sure the CD is inserted correctly, with the label side facing up.
  • For MP3 CDs, ensure the files are in a compatible format.

USB Playback Issues

  • Verify that the USB drive is compatible with the boombox and in a supported format (e.g., FAT32).
  • Ensure that the USB drive is inserted properly.
  • Check if the USB drive has the correct MP3/ WMA files on it.

FM Radio Reception Problems

  • Position the antenna properly and extend it for better signal reception. Place the radio near a window or other area where radio signals can be easily received.
  • Manually tune to the desired station if automatic scanning is unsuccessful.
  • Check for interference from other electronic devices or obstacles that may affect signal quality.

Bluetooth Connectivity Issues

  • Ensure that the Bluetooth feature is turned on in the boombox.
  • Put the boombox and your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) within a close range for a stable connection.
  • Check the Bluetooth device to see if it’s discoverable and not connected to another device.
  • If you’ve previously paired your device, make sure you are connecting to the correct boombox in the device’s settings.
  • Try disconnecting and then reconnecting the Bluetooth connection.

AUX Audio IN and Headphones Out Issues

  • Ensure that your AUX audio cable is properly connected to both the boombox and the external audio source (e.g., phone, MP3 player).
  • For headphones, make sure they are correctly plugged into the headphones out jack.
  • Check if the headphones are functioning correctly by testing them with another device.
