The Commercial Laundry Coin Drop is a coin-operated device designed for use with GE Appliances commercial laundry machines. It is available in single or double coin drop configurations and can be installed on standalone models or stacked models.

Installation Instructions

Single Coin Drop – Install on Standalone Models

1. Disconnect power before installing.
2. Unlock the coin drop mounting plate from the front of the washer using the key shipped with the washer.
3. Partially pull out the left side of the mounting plate, slide it to the left, and remove it from the washer.
4. Place the coin drop body to the rear side of the mounting plate.
5. Align the corner mounting holes and insert a bolt through each hole in the face plate/mounting plate assembly. Secure each bolt with a nut.

Double Coin Drop – Install on Washer on Stacked Models

1. Disconnect power.
2. Unlock the control panel from the front of the dryer using the key shipped with the dryer.
3. Rotate the control panel and tuck it onto the dryer’s upper shelf. Do not disconnect wires.
4. Remove the mounting plate from the washer.
5. Place the coin drop body to the rear side of the mounting plate.
6. Align the corner mounting holes and insert a bolt through each hole in the face plate/mounting plate assembly. Secure each bolt with a nut.

Important Note
Refer to the washer’s owner’s manual and installation instructions for proper stacking of the dryer onto the washer.

• Q: What tools do I need for installation?
  A: You will need gloves, an 11/32 socket & nut driver, and a Phillips-head screwdriver.

• Q: Can I install the coin drop on stacked dryers?
  A: Yes, the coin drop can be installed on stacked dryers. Please follow the specific instructions provided for double coin drop/stacked models.

• Q: How do I connect the coin drop assembly wiring to the washer wiring?
  A: Reach into the washer’s opening and pull the wiring harness connectors out into the opening just enough to enable connection.

TOOLS YOU WILL NEED

WASHER – COIN DROP INSTALLATION

REMOVE MOUNTING PLATE FROM WASHER

• Disconnect power before installing.
• Unlock the coin drop mounting plate from the front of the washer using the key shipped with the washer.
• Partially pull out the left side of the mounting plate, slide it to the left and remove it from the washer.

For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only

REMOVE CONTROL PANEL FROM STACKING (TOP) DRYER

• Disconnect power.
• Unlock the  control panel from the front of the dryer using the key shipped with the dryer.
• Rotate it and tuck it onto the dryers upper shelf.

ASSEMBLE COIN DROP FACE PLATE TO MOUNTING PLATE

• Place the coin drop body to rear side of mounting plate (removed in step 1).
• Align the corner mounting holes and insert a bolt through each hole in the face plate/mounting plate assembly. Secure each bolt with a nut.
• Single Coin Drop – Install on Standalone Models
• Double Coin Drop – Install on Washer on Stacked Models
• For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only

IMPORTANT!
FOLLOW THE STACKING SECTION IN THE WASHERS OWNER’S MANUAL & INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL THE STACKING DRYER ONTO THE WASHER

• Reach into the dryer’s opening, unbundle the wiring harness connectors, and pull the two connectors down through the two knocked-out areas in the right corners of the dryer and the washer.

CONNECT COIN DROP ASSEMBLY WIRING TO WASHER WIRING

• Reach into the washers opening and pull the wiring harness connectors out into the opening just enough to enable connection.
• For Single Coin Drop/Standalone Models Only: Connect “Coin 1” or “Coin 2” connector into the connector on the coin drop.
• For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only:
• Connect “Coin 1” or “Coin 2” connector from the lower washer’s harness into the connector on the right coin drop (with colored dot).
• Connect “Coin 1” or “Coin 2” connector from the upper dryer’s harness into the connector on the left coin drop (without colored dot).

INSTALL COIN DROP ASSEMBLY ONTO WASHER

• Push wiring back into the appliance opening and make sure it will not interfere with the coin paths or the coin slots in the top of the coin box.
• Hook the right retaining tab of the coin drop assembly under the retaining edge on the washer, push the left side in to close, and lock it with the key.

For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only

REINSTALL CONTROL PANEL AND INSTALL COVER PLATE ON DRYER

• Replace the dryer’s control panel and lock it with the access key.
• Snap the white cover into the coin meter opening of the dryer.

DRYER – COIN DROP INSTALLATION

REMOVE CONTROL PANEL FROM DRYER

• Disconnect power before installing. ? Unlock the control panel from the front of the bottom dryer using the key shipped with the dryer.
• Rotate it and tuck it onto the dryers upper shelf.

REMOVE CONTROL PANEL FRAME FROM DRYER

• Remove the four screws from the control panel frame and remove the frame from the bottom dryer.
• For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only

REMOVE CONTROL PANEL FROM TOP/STACKING DRYER

• Disconnect Control Panel power.
• Unlock the control panel from the front of the top/stacking dryer using the key shipped with the dryer.
• Rotate it and tuck it onto the dryers upper shelf.

ASSEMBLE COIN DROP FACE PLATE TO CONTROL PANEL FRAME

• Place the coin drop body to rear side of the control panel frame (removed in step 2).
• Align the corner mounting holes and insert a bolt through each hole in the face plate/control panel frame assembly. Secure each bolt with a nut.

Single Coin Drop – Install on Standalone Models

Double Coin Drop – Install on Bottom Dryer on Stacked Models

For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only

IMPORTANT!
FOLLOW THE STACKING SECTION IN THE DRYERS OWNER’S MANUAL & INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL THE STACKING DRYER ONTO THE BOTTOM DRYER

• Reach into the top dryer’s opening, unbundle the wiring harness connectors, and pull the two connectors down through the two knocked-out areas in the right corners of the top/stacking dryer and the bottom dryer.

CONNECT COIN DROP ASSEMBLY WIRING TO DRYER WIRING

• Reach into the dryer’s opening and pull the wiring harness connectors out into the opening just enough to enable connection.
• For Single Coin Drop/ Standalone Models Only:
• Connect “Coin 1” or “Coin 2” connector into the connector on the coin drop.
• For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only:
• Connect “Coin 1” or “Coin 2” connector from the lower harness into the connector on the right coin drop (with colored dot).
• Connect “Coin 1” or “Coin 2” connector from the upper harness into the connector on the left coin drop (without colored dot).

REINSTALL CONTROL PANEL FRAME TO BOTTOM DRYER

• Push wiring back into the appliance opening and make sure it will not interfere with the coin paths or the coin slots in the top of the coin box.
• Position the control panel frame back onto the dryer and secure by replacing its four screws.

REINSTALL CONTROL PANEL TO BOTTOM DRYER

Retrieve the control panel from the dryer shelf, position it back onto the control panel frame and lock it in place with the key.

For Double Coin Drop/Stacked Models Only

REINSTALL CONTROL PANEL AND INSTALL COVER PLATE ON TOP/STACKING DRYER

• Replace the top/stacking dryer’s control panel and lock it with the access key.
• Snap the white cover into the coin meter opening of the top/stacking dryer.

WASHER & DRYER – COIN BOX INSTALLATION

1. Insert the coin box by sliding it into the washer/dryer front opening below the coin drop.

NOTE : Adjust the coin box as needed to fit in the lips while locking.

Lock the coin box, keep the key in a secure place and record the key code number in case it is ever lost.

Keep its key in a secure place and record its code number

Place the money box model VKAUNICBT into the front bottom of the coin meter and lock it with its key. NOTE: Make sure to keep the key in a secure place.

IMPORTANT
Follow the below instructions without fail to avoid a drill out coin box

1. Record the key code for future reference (in case of a lost coin box key).
2. In the event of a lost coin box key:
3. Case A – Recorded coin box key code which is printed on key, call Greenwald service line to buy a new key by providing the necessary information to verify owner identity.
4. Case B – Not recorded coin box key code, DRILL OUT the coin box and order a new coin box/coin box key by calling GE Appliances Commercial Laundry Service.
