- Reference the appropriate service manual for your vehicle. If you do not have a service manual, and do not have the training or experience to perform the necessary procedures correctly, seek the services of a qualified technician.
This kit replaces the original failure prone oil filter housing with a robust
aluminum design.
This oil filter housing is of the 2014 and later model year design and will
require a 2014 model application oil filter for future oil changes applicable
to 2011-13 model years. See oil filter reference chart below.

Certain model housings will be equipped with an oil temperature sensor. If your original housing looks like the image below with no temperature sensor, install provided plug into unused opening and torque to 25 lbs-ft (34 N-m).
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Remove oil filter housing and cooler assembly from engine as per vehicle
service manual.
STEP 2:
Remove both sensors from original housing.
STEP 3:
Install provided cooler-to-housing gaskets into gasket grooves in oil filter
housing.
STEP 4:
Install provided oil cooler onto new housing.
STEP 5:
Using provided oil cooler screws, fasten cooler to housing. Tighten cooler-to-
housing screws to 12 N-m (9 lb-pi).
STEP 6:
Coat both sensor threads with thread sealant and install both sensors onto oil
filter housing.
STEP 7:
Tighten both sensors to 15 lbs-ft (20 N-m).
STEP 8:
Install new provided o-ring onto front oil return port on housing. Lubricate
with light coat of oil for ease of installation.
STEP 9:
Press provided new remaining seals onto new oil filter housing.
STEP 10:
Install oil filter housing onto engine block as per vehicle service manual.
Torque mounting bolts to 9 lbs-ft (12 N-m).
STEP 11:
Install new provided oil filter into housing and install provided oil filter
cap.
STEP 12:
Check oil level and add oil to crankcase to compensate for lost oil from
replacing oil filter. .
STEP 13:
Check coolant level and top off coolant level to compensate for loss of
coolant during repair.
STEP 14:
Test drive vehicle to ensure there are no coolant or oil leaks.
