Configuring the Initial Settings
The screenshots and illustrations used in this manual differ according to the
model of your machine.
Setting Up Using the Setup Guide on the Control Panel
When you turn ON the machine for the first time, theSetup Guide starts up on the control panel.

Configuring the Basic SettingsConfigure basic settings such as the screen display language and the type of paper to use.

Configuring the Security SettingsSpecify the administrator login and user authentication settings to improve the security of the machine.
The default user name for the administrator is “Administrator” and the default password is “7654321”. -
Setting the Date and TimeSet the machine’s date and time.

Configuring the Network SettingsConfigure the settings for connecting the machine to a network.
Select a wired LAN or wireless LAN and configure the IP address. Depending on your network environment, specify the DNS and proxy settings also. -
Configuring the Fax SettingsConfigure the settings required for using the faxfunctions.

Adjusting the Gradation AutomaticallyYou can adjust the gradations to get a better printing result.
