Product Usage Instructions

Before First Use
Because of the long shipping time, sometimes the espresso machine may not pump water when you receive and use it for the first time. This can happen due to air blockage in the water line. To purge the air and resume the flow of water, follow these instructions:

Lift the water tank from the machine and remove the stopper.

  1. Add water to the water tank, filling it up to the MAX marking indicated. Then replace the water tank with the machine.
  2. Plug in the machine and the buttons will flash 3 times. If all buttons keep flashing after plugging in, press any button to make the machine beep 3 times. To solve this problem, turn the steam knob to the OFF position.
  3. Press the ONE CUP and TWO CUP buttons simultaneously, and the indicator light will flash.
  4. Place a cup under the steam wand.
  5. Turn on the steam knob to start pumping. Once water comes out from the steam wand, your machine is ready. If no water comes out, check if the Steam Knob is in the correct position.

How to Brew Espresso

Preheating Water:

  1. Fill water into the water tank.
  2. Plug in the machine and the buttons will flash 3 times.
  3. Press the ONE CUP and TWO CUP buttons simultaneously. The machine will start heating the water, and the button indicator will flash.

Filling Coffee Ground:

  1. Place a filter into the filter holder.
  2. Add coffee ground into the filter and use the tamper to gently tamp the ground. Avoid tamping it too tight.
  3. Clean any excess coffee from the rim to ensure a proper fit under the brew head and avoid leaks.
  4. For optimal extraction rate, it is recommended to use MEDIUM COFFEE GROUND.

Installing Portafilter:

  1. Place the portafilter underneath the brew head, aligning the handle with the INSERT position.
  2. Insert the portafilter into the group head and rotate the handle towards the center until the retention clip is aligned with the closed lock symbol on the unit.

FAQ

Q: Can I use the coffee maker outdoors?
A: No, the coffee maker is not designed for outdoor use. It should only be used for household purposes.

Q: How do I ensure safety when using the coffee maker?
A: Please follow these safety precautions:

  • Check that the voltage of the socket corresponds to the parameter of the coffee maker rating plate.

HOW TO BREW ESPRESSO

Preheating Water
Fill water into the water tank, plug in and buttons will flash 3 times, then press ONE CUP and TWO CUP buttons simultaneously. The machine will start to heat water and the button indicator will flash.

Filling Coffee Ground

  1. Place filter into filter holder, add coffee ground into filter, then use tamper to tamp ground gently, don’t tamp it too tight.
    Don’t overfill the filter basket, it may cause it to clog or overflow.

  2. Clean any excess coffee from the rim to ensure proper fit under the brew head and avoid leaks.
    To ensure extraction rate, MEDIUM COFFEE GROUND is recommended.IHOMEKEE-

Installing Portafilter

  1. Place portafilter underneath the brew head, so that the handle is aligned with the INSERT position.

Select The Function

  1. Place the cup under the portafilter, and make sure that the machine is ready. (When indicator becomes solid).
  2. Press the ONE CUP or TWO CUP buttons to start making espresso. The machine will stop after the preset volume has been extracted.

You can hold the portafilter by the handle and use the filter retention clip to dispose of the grounds.

HOW TO STEAM MILK

  1. Please fill water into the water tank. Add your desired amount of milk to the pitcher
  2. Press the steam button, the machine will start to preheat water and the button indicator will flash. When the indicator becomes solid, the machine is ready.
  3. Dip the steam wand about half an inch into the milk. You can also lower the steam wand deeper into the milk to avoid splashing.
  4. Turn the steam knob to   position slowly.
  5. Swirl the milk until the desired amount of froth is reached.
  6. Turn the steam knob to the “OFF” position and press the steam button to switch the steam off.

After steaming milk, pour the steamed milk and foam into your espresso, and you’re ready to enjoy your homemade cappuccino.

To avoid steam wand blocking, please follow the steps of “HOT WATER FUNCTION” to clean the steam wand.

Notice : If you want to make espresso after steaming, please make sure that the steam knob is on the off position and the steam button is off(If the steam button indicator is on, please press the button again to switch the steam off ).

HOT WATER FUNCTION

  1. Following the step of Preheating Water to heat water.
  2. When the indicator becomes solid, the machine is ready to use. Then turn the steam knob to position slowly.
  3. Hot water will come out from the steam wand.
  4. Turn the control knob to the OFF position.

PROGRAMMING SHOT VOLUME

To set the ONE CUP volume:

  1. The first step, let the machine preheat water before programming.
  2. When the machine is ready, press and hold the ONE CUP button to start the espresso extraction. (Maximum time: 60 Seconds, the programming is invalid for more than 60 seconds) Release the button once the desired volume of espresso has been extracted.

To set the TWO CUP volume, follow the above steps but select the TWO CUP button to start and stop the extraction.

Resetting Default Volumes

  • Press and hold the ONE CUP and steam buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, When both buttons are on and beep 1 time, it means the factory settings have been restored.

DESCALING

  • After regular use, hard water can cause mineral build-up in and on many of the inner functioning components, reducing the brewing flow, brewing temperature, power of the machine, and the taste of the espresso.
  • When the cumulative number of steaming or coffee brewing reaches about 500 times, please descale the machine.

TO DESCALE

  1. Add the descaling agent(about 10g) into the water tank, then add water to the max line.
  2. Preheating water.
  3. When the machine is ready, turn the steam knob off, and the machine will start to pump water. The machine will stop working after about 2 minutes.
  4. Repeat this cycle about 5 times until the water in the tank is drained.
  5. Add water into the water tank, and follow the third step to operate the machine. After the after is drained, descaling is finished.

CLEAN AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Cut off the power source and let the machine cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean housing of machine with moisture-proof sponge often and clean water tank, drip tray and removable shelf regularly then dry them.
    • Note : Do not clean with alcohol or solvent cleanser. Never immerse the housing in water for cleaning.
  3. Detach the metal funnel by turning it anticlockwise, and get rid of coffee residue inside, then you can clean it with cleanser, but at last, you must rinse it with clear water.
  4. Clean all the attachments in the water and dry them thoroughly.
