Cooking programmes
-
Slow Cook
This program is suitable for preparing stews, one-pot meals, sauces, stews, etc. The principle of slow cooking is to lower the temperature and increase the cooking time. The lower temperature will not destroy as many nutrients, develop richer flavours and blend the aromas of different ingredients and spices. The result is tender, tender and juicy meat, even from mature cuts. -
Soup
This program is suitable for the preparation of soups. Put all the ingredients for the soup in a pot and pour the finished broth. Cover the lid and let the pot finish the pro-gram. -
Bake
This programme is suitable for roasting meat or baking food. When roasting meat, it is important to baste the meat regularly to prevent the juices from boiling off. When browning food, lightly grease the bottom of the enamel pot with clarified butter, lard or edible oil. -
Rice
This program is suitable for rice preparation. The key to perfectly cooked rice is the right ratio of rice to water. The universal ratio of rice to water is 1 : 1. You can then adjust the amount of water according to your personal preference and the type of rice you will be preparing. Rice for risotto or sushi may require a little more water compared to jasmine or regular white rice. It is important to measure correctly so that the prepared rice is not undercooked or overcooked.
It is recommended to rinse the measured rice properly under cold running water to remove excess starch. -
Cake
This program is suitable for the preparation of cakes. We recommend greasing the bottom of the enamel pot with clarified butter or edible oil. The cooking time and tem-perature are set automatically and cannot be changed. -
Stir Fry
This program is suitable for quick browning of ingredients. The Stir-Fry method of preparation consists of frying meat and vegetables in hot oil. It is advisable to use oil with a high smoke point (e.g. rapeseed or sunflower oil). The roasting time is usually
2 to 3 minutes. We recommend cutting food into smaller pieces, especially poultry, to ensure that it is cooked through. -
Braise
This program is suitable for the preparation of ragouts, stews and casseroles. First, the meat and other ingredients are browned on all sides in a small amount of fat. Then the roasted pieces are seasoned and covered with broth, wine or water. Cover the lid care-fully and baste the meat continuously. You can add other ingredients (e.g. vegetables) and spices during the cooking process. The pot will simmer the meat at a moderate temperature and the juices will bubble slightly. -
Steam
This programme is suitable for steaming food. Pour enough water into the enamel pot and use a steamer or a round grate that you place in the water. -
Egg
This program is suitable for cooking eggs. Set the cooking time depending on the purpose of the eggs (soft or hard boiled). -
Yogurt
This programme is suitable for making homemade yoghurt. Always use good quality whole milk and yoghurt with live cultures. Mix both ingredients properly, pour them into the pot and cover with a lid. The pot will slowly heat the mixture to a temperature that will not destroy the yoghurt culture. The mixture is then slowly cooled to promote the formation of yoghurt and its ripening.
The yoghurt prepared in this way should be kept in the fridge for a maximum of one week.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before any cleaning or maintenance, always power down the appliance, unplug it from the mains, and allow it to cool down completely. It is important to clean the enamel pot and lid after each use.
Warning:
Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug of the power cord in
water or any other liquid.
- Do not use plastic or metal scrapers, harsh cleaners, chemicals, petrol, solvents or other similar substances to clean any parts of the appliance. The surface finish could be seriously damaged.
- Wash the enamel pot and lid in warm water with a little dishwashing liquid. Rinse and wipe dry.
- If the food gets burnt, pour enough warm water with a little dishwashing liquid into the enamel pot and let it soak. Then clean with a soft-bristled brush or soft sponge. Rinse with water and wipe dry.
- Wipe the outside of the appliance with a soft sponge slightly moistened with warm water. Wipe with dry dish towel.
Storage
Before storing, make sure that the appliance and its accessories are cool and
clean. Store the appliance and its accessories in a dry and well-ventilated
place out of the reach of children or pets.
Do not place any objects on the appliance.
