High Sound Pressure Levels
Exposure to very high sound pressure levels may cause permanent hearing loss. The degree of hearing loss may vary from person to person, but prolonged exposure to high sound pressure levels can affect almost everyone. The OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) has specified the following maximum exposures:

Number of Hours Sound Pressure Level (dBA), Slow Response
90 92
95 97
100 102
105 110

Equipment Assembly
The P15-I loudspeaker has 3 locations for hanging, one on the back and one on both sides. The depth of the M10 thread is 14mm (0.55 inch).

For assembly on a distance rod or speaker stand:

  1. Place the distance rod on the connector plate (M20) of the Sub.
  2. Place PLADAPT on P15-I.
  3. Put the assembly on the distance rod / monitor stand with a diameter of 35mm.

Important considerations for speaker stand assembly

  • The speaker stand must be rated for P15 weight.
  • The speaker stand must always be installed on a horizontal surface.
  • The stand height and footprint must be defined to prevent assembly collapse.
  • Ensure that the audience is not allowed within a safety area with a radius equal to or higher than the assembly height.
  • Test the steadiness of the assembly by pushing it in all directions.

FAQ

  • Q: Can I open and modify the speaker?
A: No, it is not recommended to open or modify the speaker as it does not include any user-repairable parts. If you encounter any issues, please have it repaired by a NEXO qualified technician.
