ARDESTO YCM-D060 Drip Coffee Maker

Dear Customer,
Please read these operating instructions through carefully before connecting your device to the mains, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use. Please pay particular attention to the safety information. If you pass the device on to a third party, these operating instructions must also be handed over.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• The appliance must only be used for its intended purpose in accordance with these instructions.
• Before connecting the appliance, please check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the main voltage in your home.
• Do not place the appliance on a hot surface.
• Remove the main plug from the wall socket if problems occur during making coffee and before cleaning the appliance.
•  Do not allow the main cord to be close to hot surface.
• Use the appliance out of children’s reach. Prevent them from pulling the main cord.
• Never use the appliance if the main cord plug or the appliance itself was damaged.
•  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced bythe manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not leave the appliance running unattended! Always unplug the appliance if you are not using it.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended household use.
• Do not fill in any water once the appliance has been turned on.
• During operation of the appliance, the heating plate becomes very hot and remains hot after use. Do not touch the heating plate to avoid severe burns!
• To fill the water tank use fresh cold water only.
• This device can be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with physical or sensory or mental disabilities or with insufficient experience and knowledge, if they are under constant supervision or instructed in the safe use of the device and they understand the possible dangers. Cleaning and customer service should not be performed by children without supervision.

• The appliance must not be immersed. Avoid leaking fluid on the electrical connector.

  • bed and breakfast type environments.

BEFORE FIRST USE

For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boil-processes with fresh water (without coffee). Once all the water has passed through, switch off the appliance and let it cool down during 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water and coffee.

MAKING COFFEE

• Fill the water tank with the required quantity of water. Ensure that the water level is not lower than the minimum mark and not higher than indication “MAX”. Use fresh, cold water only. The number of cups can be read on the water level window. Insert filter paper size “1X4” if the basket hasn’t been used and fill in the desired quantity of ground coffee.
• Switch on the appliance. Wait until the brewing process is finished and the funnel has run empty.

MAKING MORE COFFEE STRAIGHT AWAY

After brewed coffee, if you wish to make some more straight (please switch off the coffee maker and wait at least 5 minutes for it to cool down). Then you can refill the water tank.

CLEANING

• Always remove the main plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• You should clean it with a damp cloth.
• The coffee pot, filter and the funnel can be washed in hot soapy water.
• The appliance can be descaled with a special descaling agent.

Warranty conditions:

The plant guarantees normal operation of the product within 12 months from the date of the sale, provided that the consumer complies with the rules of operation and care provided by this Manual. Service life of the product is 5 years. In order to avoid any misunderstanding we kindly ask you to carefully study the Owner’s Manual, the terms of warranty, and check the correctness of filling the Warranty Card. The Warranty Card is valid only if the following information is correctly and clearly stated: model, serial number of the product, date of sale, clear seals of the company-seller, signature of the buyer. The model and serial number of the product must correspond to those specified in the Warranty Card. If these terms are violated, and if the information specified in the Warranty Card is changed, erased or rewritten, the Warranty Card is considered invalid. Setup and installation (assembly, connection, etc.) of the appliance are described in the attached documentation; they can be carried out both by the user, and by specialists having the necessary qualification sent by USC or selling companies (on a paid basis). In this case, the person (the institution) installing the appliance shall be responsible for the correctness and quality of installation (setup). Please pay attention to the importance of the correct installation of the appliance, both for its reliable operation, and for obtaining warranty and free service. Require the installation specialist to enter all the necessary information about the installation in the Warranty Card. In case of failure of the appliance during the warranty period by the fault of the manufacturer, the owner is entitled to free warranty repair upon presentation of the correctly filled Warranty Card together with the appliance in the factory configuration packed in the original packaging to the warranty workshop or the place of its purchase. Satisfaction of the customer’s claim due to the fault of the manufacturer shall be made in accordance with the law «On Protection of Consumers’ Rights». In the case of warranty repair the warranty period shall be extended for the period of repair and shipment.
