No IMAGE after connecting this product to PS2
- The input signal format of this item is YPbPr signal, some users purchase the converter to set the output video format of the PS2 game console to RGB signal output, or they bought the PS2 in order to RGB signal output and didn’t change the setting ever. The wrong signal format which causes the problem that the image cannot be output normally after using this converter (that is the reason why some users report that the video cable can be directly connected to the display device to output an image, and the converter cannot output the image)
- The AV MULTI interface of PS2 is “Multiple Video Composite Interface”, which is capable of producing three kinds of video signals: RGB \ YPbPr \ YCbCr. If the VIDEO FORMAT set incorrectly, this converter cannot output images.
Settings:
If PS2 outputs RGB signal, you need to set PS2 to YPbPr, so you need a video cable to connect to the AV video interface of the TV (as the following image) to get the setting interface.
You need to prepare the PS2 Video cable (the original parts of the PS2 game console)
The setup steps can be performed after the preparation is completed
- Connect the video cable to the AV MULTI interface of the PS2.
- 0pen the disc of the PS2 and remove the disc. (do not use any disc in the PS2)
- After starting the PS2, enter the setting selection interface, as the following image:
4.Enter the System Configuration, as the following image:
5.Enter the System Configuration. Find “Component Video Out” below, Select
YCb/Pb Cr/Pr
6.Connect the converter to the PS2 after connecting the video cable, and
connect the power supply and HDMI display device to display the image.

No IMAGE?
The YPbPr signal in the PS2 host, please set the PS2 video setting to the YPbPr output before use.
Specific setting method: Use PS2 original AV cable to connect to TV—> No disc enter system setting ->Image (YPbPr) output—> Confirm. -
Must USB cable be plugged in?
Must be plugged in Plug in the USB cable and take power from the PS2’s USB port or 5V 1A power adapter. -
Does this product work on both normal ps2 and ps2 slimline?
Compatible with European, Japanese and North American Region PS2 and PS2 slimline. -
Supports input resolutions and Outputs Mode?
Supports input resolutions:ForYPbPr-480i, 480p, 5761, 576, 720p, 1080i.
Outputs Mode: 1080P HDMI. -
Is the product compatible with the PS1 game console? Can PS1 games be played on a PS2 game console?
No, it is not supported. Currently, we only recommend using it on a PS2. This is because the PS2 uses a YPBPR signal, while the PS1 uses an AV signal. The signalformats are different, so we suggest that customers purchase a PS1 to HDMI converter separately for compatibility. -
Certain games on the PS2 output at resolutions lower than 480p, and my screen goes black. Is there a solution to this?
There is no solution to this issue, as the chipset does not support resolutions lower than 480p.
