ON/OFF Button(ON/OFF)
Short press the ON/OFF button to turn it on or off.

HOLD/Tilt% Button(HOLD/Tilt%)

  • Short press the HOLDmlt¾ Button. the display will hold the readout data.
  • Long press the HOLDmlt¾ Button for 2 seconds. the display will change to tilt%.

ZERO Button

  1. Measurement initially displays 0.00° on the LCD, when it displays” up “on the left side and “down “on the right side, it means the left side is higher and the right side lower; when it displays “ down” on the left side” up ” on the right side, it means the left side is lower and right side higher.
  2. Tum on the instrument and begin to measure, the read-out is the relative angle of the absolute level.
  3. Press the ‘ZERO’ button, and reset the value to proceed with relative measurement.

Absolute Measuring Mode
Turn on the instrument and begin to measure, the read-out is the relative angle of the absolute level (The absolute zero position of the instrument has been factory-calibrated).

Relative Measuring Mode
The instrument allows to set zero at any slope as a reference surface and to measure the relative angle based on this slope.

  1. When it turns on, put the instrument onto the measuring surface (showing the angle compared to the absolute level).
  2. Short press the ZERO button, and it displays” 0.00″.
  3. Put the instrument on the surface that needs to be measured, or change the angle on the reference surface, the readout displays the angle value relative to the reference surface (here it is 25′).

Recalibration

  1. Put the bottom surface of the instrument onto the level surface that has been calibrated.
  2. When it is power-off, hold the instrument, press the “ZERO” button, then press the “ON/OFF” button, the LCDs “CAL 1 “, entering the calibration status.
  3. Hold the instrument and keep it still, and then press the ZERO button. the LCDs “CAL2”
  4. Rotate 90 degrees clockwise, hold the instrument and keep it still. press the “ZERO” button again. the LCDs “CAL3”
  5. Rotate 90 degrees clockwise, hold the instrument and keep it still. press the “ZERO” button again. the LCDs “CAL4”;
  6. Rotate 90 degrees clockwise, hold the instrument and keep it still, press the “ZERO” button again, and the LCDs “CAL5”
  7. Rotate 90 degrees clockwise, hold the instrument and keep it still. press the “ZERO” button again, the LCDs “PASS”; then displays”0.00° “ AUTOUTLET-EFU049-Digital-Inclinometer-FIG-11
  • Now the calibration is finished, the new level surface replaces the previous one. Please notice to keep the instrument still when pressing the “ZERO” button.
  • The inclinometer is fully calibrated before shipment from the factory. Please recalibrate the inclinometer only when it is inaccurate.

Application
It is widely applied in the wood processing industry (especially in the furniture manufacturing industry) for the accurate cutting of wood angle; auto repair industry for the accurate control of tire angel; machining industry for the accurate position of tool working angle as well as the rotation angle of large vehicle arms etc.
