When you walk out of range, you’ll hear warning beeps in the headset. If the
headset disconnects, the call will not drop. The headset will automatically
reconnect when you are back in range.
NOTE: If you do not move back in range within 5 minutes, the call will
disconnect.
SETTING UP YOUR
COMPUTER
- Plug the power adapter into the power port A on the charging base.
- Use the included USB cable to connect your computer to the USB port B.
- If your computer doesn’t recognize the device after a minute, go to your sound settings and select “Leitner Headset” as both your default microphone and default speakers.
- Place your headset on the charging base (we recommend charging for at least 4 hours before first use).
TELEPHONE WITH A HEADSET JACK
If your desk phone has a headset button and a RJ9 headset jack on the back, you can connect through there, here’s how!
- Plug the power adapter into the power port A on the charging base.
- Plug the included phone cord into the green telephone connector port B on the back of the charging base.
- Plug the other end of the phone cord into the headset jack on the back of your desk phone.
- If you’re using a Cisco phone, set your compatibility switch C to 4. Otherwise, make sure it’s set to 1.
- Place your headset on the charging base (we recommend charging for at least 4 hours before first use).
TELEPHONE WITHOUT A HEADSET JACK
- Plug the power adapter into the power port A on the charging base.
- Disconnect the curly cord from your phone base and plug it into the blue handset port B.
- Plug the included phone cord into the green telephone connector port C.
- Plug the other end of the phone cord into the handset jack of your phone (where the curly cord was previously connected).
- Set your compatibility switch D to 1.
- Place your headset on the charging base (we recommend charging for at least 4 hours before first use).
CELL PHONE OR TABLET
If you have an LH670 or LH675 model, you can connect to any Bluetooth device.
- With the headset turned off, press and hold the Bluetooth button A until it begins to flash, then let go.
- Go into your device’s Bluetooth settings and look for “DECT Headset” then tap on it to connect.
ELECTRONIC HOOKSWITCH
With an electronic hookswitch, you can remotely answer a call up to 350 feet
away from your desk by simply turning on the headset.
Each office phone is a bit different, so please refer to the EHS cable
instructions for quick and easy setup.
HANDSET LIFTER
A handset lifter is an optional accessory that will physically lift your
handset when you turn on the headset, answering the call.
- Follow the instructions for headset setup through the handset jack.
- Remove the outer covering of the double-sidedtape on bottom of the lifter and attach it under your handset on the phone.
- Plug the lifter into the AUX port A.
- Make sure the RHL/DHSG switch B is set to RHL and the compatibility switch C is set to 1.
Simply press the on/off button on the headset and the lifter will lift the handset. Pressing the same button on the headset again will lower it, hanging up the call.
HOW TO
MAKE A CALL
- Make sure telephone mode A is enabled.
- Press the ON/OFF button B. If you have a lifter or EHS cable, the line will automatically connect (proceed to step 4).
- Press the headset button on your phone if one is available. If not, lift up your handset and place it on the desk.
- Dial the number you want to call.
- To end the call: place the headset on the charging base or press the ON/OFF button B. If you have a handset lifter or an EHS cable, the call will automatically disconnect. If not, then manually hang up the phone.
ANSWER A CALL
- Make sure telephone mode A is enabled.
- Remove your headset from the base and press the ON/OFF button B. If you have a handset lifter or EHS cable connected to the charging base, the line will be connected automatically (proceed to step 4).
- Press the headset button on your phone if one is available. If not, lift up your handset and place it on the desk.
- To end the call: place the headset on the charging base or press the ON/OFF button B. If you have a handset lifter or an EHS cable, the call will automatically disconnect. If not, then manually hang up the phone.
USE UNIBASE ®
UniBase Technology allows you to conference calls between any two devices.
Have a call on your cell phone and one on your landline? Conference them
together with UniBase!
- While on a call, press and hold the other mode button for the call you want to conference in until both mode lights are illuminated.
- To exit UniBase mode, press the mode button for the call you want to continue.
When conferencing with your computer, all sounds will be shared.
ADJUST VOLUME & MUTE
TO ADJUST LISTENING VOLUME:
While the headset is on, click the volume control buttons on the headset to
raise A or B lower the volume.
The headset will beep each time the volume is adjusted.
TO MUTE THE MICROPHONE:
Press and hold either of the volume control buttons (A or B) for 1 second.
While muted, the FocusLight will turn purple on both the headset and base and
the headset will beep every 5 minutes. To unmute, press and hold either volume
control button for 1 second.
TO ADJUST MICROPHONE VOLUME:
Use the volume control buttons on the bottom of the headset base (C or D).
TO ADJUST RING DETECTION VOLUME:
If you’re using a handset lifter or EHS cable, you’ll hear a ring tone in your
headset when you have an incoming call.
While the headset is turned off, use the volume control buttons A or B
to adjust the ring tone sound levels.
ACTIVATE AUTO-ON
Turn this feature on if you’d like your headset to turn on automatically when
you pick up your headset off the charging base.
To turn this feature on: With your headset turned off, hold both volume
buttons on your headset together for three seconds. Once auto-on is activated,
the
FocusLight will flash slowly.
To turn this feature off: Follow the same steps again. This time the
FocusLight on your headset will quickly flash.
TURN ON CALL CONTROL
Your Headset can answer and end Skype for Business calls directly from your
headset.
To turn this feature on: Hold the up button (+) on the bottom of your
charging base together with the Computer Mode button on the top of your base
for three seconds. Your base will quickly flash 6 times to confirm.
To turn this feature back off: Hold the down button (–) on the bottom of
your charging base together with the Computer Mode button on the top of your
charging base for three seconds. Your base will flash 6 times to confirm.
CONNECT A SECONDARY HEADSET
- Turn on the primary headset.
- With the secondary headset turned off, place the secondary headset on the charging base.
- The secondary headset’s FocusLight will flash purple to show that the headset is pairing.
- Once the pairing has completed, the headset’s FocusLight will begin flashing blue.
- If the secondary headset has Auto-On enabled, it will automatically connect when you lift it from the base. If it has Auto-On disabled, press the ON/OFF button on the headset to connect.
Note: The secondary headset will remain registered to the base until the primary headset is turned off or if either headset is returned to its original base. It takes about 10 seconds for the secondary headset to re-pair to its original base.
CHARGE A SECONDARY HEADSET
Having a secondary headset is useful for training purposes or when you have multiple people working at the same desk throughout the day.
- On the back of your headset, pull back the rubber cover A to expose the USB port.
- Plug the USB cord into the USB port and plug the other end into an available USB port on your computer.
- We recommend charging your headset for at least 4 hours before use.
REGISTER A NEW PRIMARY HEADSET
In the event that you need to replace your headset, you’ll need to register it
to your charging base
- Set the headset onto the charging base.
- The FocusLight on the base will flash blue then go solid purple when the headset goes into pairing mode.
- Once your base is solid blue, the headset is paired to the charging base. The whole process should take about 10 seconds or less.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q. I don’t have any battery lights on my headset base and it's been charging for more than 4 hours.
A. Check the battery orientation inside of your headset. The arrow on the battery should be pointing into your headset and the Leitner Logo facing the buttons of the headset.
Q. My headset is charged and turned on but I can’t hear anything.
A. If you set up your headset through the headset jack, make sure your telephone’s headset button is on. Check the compatiblity switch underneath your base is set to 1. Most Cisco phones should be set to 4.
Q. My headset turns on and the lifter goes up but I’m not hearing anything in the headset.
A. Ensure that the charging base is connected to the telephone’s handset port and not the headset port (if the telephone has one).
Q. I can hear people on the phone but they can’t hear me.
Q. I can’t get my headset to work with my computer.

It might seem a bit silly, but we’re required to tell you these safety instructions about your Leitner headset. Please keep these instructions for your reference. When using this product, these basic safety precautions and warnings should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, injury to persons, and damage to property.
Operating, charging and storage temperatures are 32 °F to 104 °F (0 °C to 40 °C).
General Warnings
Use only power supply and rechargeable battery listed below:

- Never allow children to play with the product; small parts may be a choking hazard.
- Do not disassemble the product or AC adapter as this may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect reassembly can cause electric shock or fire when the product is subsequently used.
- Do not insert anything into the product because this may cause damage to the internal components or cause personal injury.
- Avoid contact with liquids. Do not place this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, or sink, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.
- Discontinue use of product if the product overheats, has a damaged cord or plug, if the product has been dropped or damaged, or if the product has come into contact with liquids.
- This product should never be placed over or near a heat source and should not be placed in locations which do not have proper ventilation.
- If you experience skin irritation after using this product, discontinue use.
Charging Warnings
- Use only the charger provided with your headset to charge the product. Do not use the charger for any other purpose. Ensure that the voltage rating corresponds to the power supply you intend to use.
- Charge the headset according to the instructions supplied with the unit.
- Plug the AC adapter or charger into an outlet that is near the equipment and will be easily accessible.
Headset Battery Warnings
- The headset is equipped with a replaceable battery. To reduce the risk of fire or injury to persons read and follow these instructions.
- Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. The battery may explode. Check your local laws for disposal instructions.
- Do not open or mutilate the battery. There may be corrosive materials which can cause damage to eyes or skin and may be toxic if swallowed.
- Never charge the battery where the temperature may fall below 32 °F (0 °C) or rise above 104 °F (40 °C).
RECYCLING: Your battery used in the headset must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local recycling center for proper disposal of your headset battery.
To Protect Your Hearing
- Set the volume control in a low position before putting your headset on your ear and use as low volume as possible.
- Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
- Limit the amount of time you use headsets at high volume levels.
- Turn the volume down if the sound from the headset prevents you from hearing people speaking near you.
