This quick start guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up the Electronic Hookswitch with your Cisco phone and headset. Please follow these instructions carefully.

Product Information

  • The RHL/DHSG switch on the bottom of the base must be set to RHL.
  • The compatibility switch must be set to 4.
  • The Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) has a smaller end and a larger end.
  • The AUX jack on the back of the Cisco phone is used to connect the EHS.
  • The cable included with your headset is used to connect the headset to the Cisco phone.
  • The power cable should be plugged into the back of the charging base.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Unplug the power cord from the headset base.
  2. Set the RHL/DHSG switch on the bottom of the base to RHL.
  3. Connect the smaller end of the EHS to the AUX jack on the back of the Cisco phone.
  4. Set the compatibility switch to 4.
  5. Take the cable that came with your headset and plug one end into the Telephone Connector jack on the back of the headset base (this is the jack second from the right). Connect the other side of this cable to the HEADSET JACK of the Cisco telephone.
  6. Connect the larger end of the Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) to the AUX jack on the back of the base. This is the largest jack in the center of the base.
  7. Plug your power cable back in to the back of the charging base.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  1. Unplug the power cord from the headset base. Set the RHL/DHSG switch on the bottom of the base to “RHL.”
  2. Set the compatibility switch to “4”
  3. Connect the larger end of the Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) to the AUX jack on the back of the base. This is the largest jack in the center of the base.
  4. Connect the smaller end of the EHS to the AUX jack on the back of the Cisco phone.
  5. Take the cable that came with your headset and plug one end into the Telephone Connector jack on the back of the headset base (this is the jack second from the right). Connect the other side of this cable to the HEADSET JACK of the Cisco telephone.
  6. Lastly, plug your power cable back in to the back of the charging base.
