Product Information

The Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) is a device that allows you to answer and end calls remotely, without having to use the phone’s handset. This Quick Start Guide provides instructions on how to set up your EHS with your Polycom phone.

Product Usage Instructions:

1. In your Polycom phone navigate the settings menu as follows:
   • Option 3 (settings) -> Option 1 (basic) -> Option 1 (preferences) -> Option 2 (analog mode [or hookswitch mode]). In this screen, select `Jabra’ mode.
2. Unplug the power cord from the headset base. Set the RHL/DHSG switch on the bottom of the base to RHL.
3. Set the compatibility switch to 1
   • RHL/ DHSG switch
   • Compatibility switch
4. Connect the larger end of the Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) to the AUX jack on the back of the headset base. Connect the 5-pin end to the AUX jack on the back of the Polycom phone.
5. Take the cable that came with your headset and plug one end into the Telephone Connector jack on the back of the headset base. Connect the other end to the HEADSET JACK of the Polycom telephone.
6. Plug your power cable back in to the back of the charging base.
   • Cord included with headset
   • AUX jack
   • Telephone Connector
   • EHS larger end

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

1. In your Polycom phone navigate the settings menu as follows:
   Option 3 (settings) -> Option 1 (basic) -> Option 1 (preferences) -> Option 2 (analog mode [or hookswitch mode]). In this screen, select ‘Jabra’ mode.

2. Unplug the power cord from the headset base. Set the RHL/DHSG switch on the bottom of the base to “RHL.”

3. Set the compatibility switch to “1”

4. Connect the larger end of the Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) to the AUX jack on the back of the headset base. Connect the 5-pin end to the AUX jack on the back of the Polycom phone.

5. Take the cable that came with your headset and plug one end into the Telephone Connector jack on the back of the headset base. Connect the other end to the HEADSET JACK of the Polycom telephone.

6. Plug your power cable back in to the back of the charging base.
