Safety Precautions

Prior to use, please read the safety precautions carefully to ensure proper use. The precautions listed here are described under classification of Warnings and Cautions, and are intended to prevent harm or damages to users and other persons. All of these precautions are critical in terms of safety. Please follow them at all times.

Disassembly prohibited.

  • Do not disassemble, repair, or modify this product. Doing so can cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • Repair by persons other than trained repair technicians can be dangerous.
  • Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this product with any solid-state speed control device.

****Product use.

  • For household use only. Do not use this product for commercial use. Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use. Doing so could cause the product to malfunction or cause a fire.
  • Do not use the product near radios or television sets. Doing so could cause interference to radio or television signals.
  • Do not use this product in places exposed to direct sunlight or near heating devices. Doing so could lead to deformation, discoloration, or product malfunction.
  • Only use this product on a level, stable surface. Placing this product on uneven or unstable surfaces can cause the product to fall over, leading to injury or damage to property in the vicinity of the product.
  • Place this product in locations where it will not become entangled in curtains, hoisting strings, etc. Placing the product near these items can cause damage to articles near the product.
  • Always grasp the adapter to unplug this product, do not unplug it by pulling on the power cord. Pulling on the power cord can damage it, which can cause fire or electric shock.
  • Always unplug the adapter from the electric socket when the product will be unused for extended periods of time. Failure to do so can lead to fire or electric shock caused by short-circuits due to reduced insulation.
  • This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or a short-circuit. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product markings for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the power adapter should be discarded or returned to IRIS USA, Inc. for inspection and/or repair.
  • Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not run the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from high traffic areas and in a place where it will not be tripped over.
  • Please dispose of the product and packaging materials according to the appropriate, local government regulations.

****Remote control use.

  • WARNING: Chemical Burn Hazard. Do not allow batteries to be swallowed.
  • This product contains a button/coin cell battery. If the button/coin cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in as little as two hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children. Always ensure the battery compartment is completely secured. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep it away from children. If you think battery/batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  • Please pay attention to the polarity symbols on the remote control battery. Please ensure the battery is inserted according to the correct positive (+) and negative (-) markings.
  • Remove the battery from the remote control if the product will not be used for extended periods of time. Failure to remove the battery could lead to fire or injury, or damage to the surroundings caused by the battery rupturing and leaking.
  • In case of battery liquid leakage, wipe down the battery case and insert a new battery. If any battery liquid gets onto the skin, please wash the area thoroughly.
  • Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the remote control. Doing so could cause damage to skin and clothes.
  • Do not carry or store the remote alongside small metal objects. Doing so could cause fire or injury due to the battery rupturing and leaking.
  • Please use only the manufacturer recommended battery. Use of any other battery could increase the risk of fire or injury, or damage to the surroundings due to the battery rupturing and leaking.

****Unplugging the product

  • Unplug the adapter from the electric socket before performing maintenance, inspecting, or moving the product.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, flip the adapter and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  • When unplugging this product, grasp the adapter and remove it from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug this product by pulling on the cord.

****Use the power plug and power cord correctly.

  • Failure to do so could cause fire or electric shock due to short-circuits.
  • Insert the adapter so that it fits securely all the way into the electric socket.
  • Regularly clean any accumulated dust off of the power plug.
  • When dust is allowed to build up, insulation is hampered due to moisture, which could cause fire or electric shock.
  • Use only with voltage between 100-240V~. Other current/voltage could cause fire.
  • Do not use this product if the power cord, power adapter, or power plug is damaged, or if the adapter is loose when plugged into the electric socket. Doing so could cause fire or electric shock due to short-circuits.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. Discard the damaged cord/adapter or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Please use only the manufacturer recommended adapter. Use of any other adapter could increase the risk of fire or injury.

Do not damage the power cord or adapter.

  • Damaging, modifying, forcefully bending, pulling on, twisting, placing heavy objects on, or pinching the power cord could cause damage, which could increase the risk of fire or electric shock.
  • Do not use this product while the power cord is bundled up. Doing so could cause fires. Always extend the cord out before using this product.
  • Do not pull on the power cord when carrying or storing the product. Pulling on the power cord could cause damage that may lead to fire or electric shock.

****Abnormalities and malfunctions can cause smoke, fire, or electric

shock.

Stop use immediately, cut power, and unplug the product from the electric socket when abnormalities or malfunctions occur.

Examples of Abnormalities

  • Abnormal sounds or odors.
  • The power adapter or power cord becomes abnormally hot.
  • Loss of power, etc. when the power cord is moved.
  • The product periodically stops during operation.
  • A tingling sensation from the electric current is felt when the product is touched.

Avoid fire hazards.

  • Do not spray the product with insecticides, hair sprays, or lubrication oils, etc.
  • Do not use this product near flammable substances (kerosene, gasoline, paint thinner, etc.), objects that have flames (cigarettes incense, etc.) or combustible materials. Doing so could cause fires.
  • Do not use this product with the airflow pointed at a combustion appliance, such as a heater. Doing so could cause incomplete combustion or scatter flames, which can cause carbon monoxide poisoning or fire.

Wet hands prohibited.

  • Do not handle the power adapter while your hands are wet.

Do not use this product outdoors.

  • Do not use this product in the vicinity of objects that obstruct the flow of air.
  • Do not operate this product while it is covered or blocked with cloth, paper, plastic bags, etc.
  • Do not use this product in locations where there is a lot of dirt or dust. This could cause short-circuiting or fire.
  • Do not use this product in or near environments filled with sooty air. Doing so could increase the risk of fire.
  • Do not use this product in rooms with high humidity levels, such as bathrooms.
  • Do not get this product wet, or put the unit in water. Getting the product wet could cause fire or electric shock.

If handled incorrectly, contents can lead to personal injury or physical

damage.

  • Keep out of reach of children and infants.
  • Do not climb on or tip the product over. Doing so may lead to injury or electric shock.
  • Make sure to hold this product by the handle while moving it. Do not drag the product when moving it. Dragging the product can damage carpets and floors.
  • Do not point the airflow directly at your body. This product generates a very strong air flow.
  • Be especially mindful not to leave children or elderly people near the product unsupervised. Being near the product could be harmful to their physical condition and to their health.
  • Air blowing directly on plants may be harmful.
  • Do not operate this product while the vane or the cover is removed. Doing so could cause injury, electric shock, or fire.
  • Do not strike the unit forcefully. Doing so could cause the product to malfunction, leading to fire or electric shock.

Placement

Place the product on a level floor or table, clear of any obstructions.

  • Place the product in locations where it will not come into contact with direct sunlight, or hot air from air conditioning or heating appliances. Such exposure could cause deformation, discoloration, or product malfunction.
  • Do not place the product near radios or television sets. The product could cause noise on the radio or affect the TV signal.

Use with an Air Conditioner

Placing the product in front of an air conditioner helps to circulate cold air accumulated near the floor, improving airflow, for better cooling.

Use with a Heater

Sending air flow to the corner of the room, where the A/C source is, helps to circulate warm air accumulated near the ceiling, to circulate warm air throughout the room.

Circulation

Sending air toward the ceiling reduces temperature variations in the room.

Ventilation

Placing the product by a window or a door draws outside air in and sends in- room air out.

Two-room Circulation

Placing the product in an open doorway allows air to circulate between two rooms.

Drying Laundry

Hanging laundry directly in the path of the airflow helps speed up the drying process. Do not place the unit underneath dripping clothes however, as water droplets that fall onto the product could increase the risk of electric shock or short circuiting.

Replacing The Battery

Please replace the remote control battery with a CR2025 battery if the product begins to take a long time responding to or stops responding to the remote when the operation buttons are pressed.

  1. Pull out the battery holder.
    Squeeze the claw in to close the gap and pull the holder out.

  2. Insert a new battery.

Insert a new battery into the battery holder. Make sure the battery poles are facing the correct direction. Reinsert the battery holder into the remote control.

  • Please pay attention to which side of the battery holder is the front and which is the back.

  • Please dispose of used batteries in accordance with the disposal instructions on the battery packaging or according to local government regulations.

Improper handling of batteries can lead to battery rupture or leakage and could cause damage to CAUTION the surroundings. Please read the ‘Remote control use’ section of the safety precautions before use.

Instructions for Use

Placing the Product

Place the product upright on a stable surface and insert the charger plug into the product. Plug the adapter into the electrical outlet. While power is being supplied, the product will beep when buttons are pressed.

Starting the Product

Press the power button to turn the product on.

  • The product can also be turned on using the power button on the remote control.

Selecting the Operation Mode

Pressing the Mode button changes the product mode in the following order:

Continuous
Product runs continuously at the chosen airflow strength.

Natural Breeze Pattern
Replicates a natural breeze by changing the strength of the airflow intermittently.

Turbo Circulation

Product runs on high, oscillating up to a 60 degree angle then down to a 45 degree angle. After settling at 45 degrees, the product will begin horizontal oscillation within a 30 degree range. While oscillating up and down, the vertical oscillation indicator light will be lit. While oscillating left and right, the horizontal oscillation indicator light will be lit. When operating in turbo circulation mode, the horizontal oscillation, vertical oscillation, and air flow strength cannot be adjusted.

The operation mode can also be selected by pressing the desired mode setting button on the remote.

Setting the Airflow Strength

Pressing the airflow strength buttons will light up the indicator light and change the airflow strength.

Continuous mode offers 10 strength settings. Natural Breeze Pattern mode offers three strength settings.

Continuous mode only: You can hold down the airflow strength button to change the setting more quickly.

  • Press the left arrow button to decrease airflow.
  • Press the right arrow button to increase airflow.

OFF Timer

Pressing the OFF timer button changes the preset time as follows:

The OFF timer can also be changed by using the remote control.

While the OFF timer is running, the indicator light will change according to time remaining. When time runs out, the product will turn off and stop running.

Delayed Start

The delayed start can only be set while the

product is off but plugged in, or after the

OFF timer has been set. It cannot be set while the product is operating. Pressing the delayed start button changes the delayed start time as follows:

To set a delayed start timer, press the Delayed Start Button. The indicator will start blinking and the unit will enter Timer Setting Mode.

While the indicator is blinking, you can choose the settings you would like the unit to start operating under.

By pushing the corresponding buttons, you can change:

*Oscillation and airflow volume settings are dependent on the Operating mode, as detailed above.

After five seconds with no input, the indicator will stop flashing, the settings will be saved, and the timer will begin.

The delayed start can also be set by using the remote control.

How to Use

Setting simultaneous On and Off timers

You can set an On Delay Timer and an Off Delay Timer to run simultaneously to help automate turning on and off the product. Once the first timer has finished and started/stopped the unit, the next timer will begin counting.

To set in On -> Off order: (this will turn the unit on automatically, run it for a set time, and then power it back off)

  • To set the On -> Off timer, the unit must be plugged in and powered off.
  • Press the Delayed Start Button to enter the timer setting mode as detailed on page 8. While in Timer Setting Mode, press the OFF Timer Button to activate the simultaneous timer function.
  • Proceed with selecting the settings (page 8) as well as the desired OFF Timer interval. Once desired settings are input, wait five seconds; the unit will beep, the timer indicator lights will remain lit, and the timer will start.

To set in Off -> On order: (this will turn the unit off automatically and then power it back on again after a set time has passed)

  • While the OFF Timer is active, you can press the Delayed Start button to set an On Timer simultaneously.
  • After the OFF Timer shuts the unit down, the On Timer indicator will remain lit and the timer will begin. Once the timer has elapsed, the unit will restart on the same settings it last ran at.

Shutting Off the Product

Press the power button during operation to turn the product off. The product will beep to signal shut down.
If the product is turned off during oscillation, operation will stop once the fan head has returned to its default position. The oscillation indicator lights will blink until the fan head returns to the forward facing position.

Selecting the Oscillation Mode

This product uses automatic oscillation.

Horizontal

Press the Horizontal Oscillation button to start, stop, or adjust the horizontal (left to right) oscillation range. There are three ranges available. Pressing the button changes them in the following order:

The horizontal angle of this product cannot be changed manually. Forcibly changing the horizontal angle will damage the product.

Vertical

Press the Vertical Oscillation button to toggle vertical (up and down) oscillation on and off.

The vertical angle of this product can also be changed manually, in a range from 0 to 60 degrees. If the vertical angle is adjusted manually, the fan head will not reset to the default position when the product is shut off.

Dimming the Indicator Lights

The lights on the control panel can be dimmed.

  • Hold the Mode button on the main unit for 2 seconds while the product is running to dim the lights.
  • Holding the Mode button on the main unit for 2 seconds again will return the lights to their original brightness.
  • The indicator lights will stay at the set level even if the product is turned off and back on. If the product is unplugged, the indicator lights will reset to the default level.
  • The brightness of the indicator lights cannot be adjusted with the remote control.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Always turn off the power and unplug the power plug from the electric socket before cleaning the product. Use caution, the motor will remain hot for some time after use. Confirm the motor has cooled down before cleaning the product.

Do not use paint thinner, alcohol, benzene, alkaline detergent, bleach, etc. when cleaning the product. Using such substances can cause damage, malfunctions, discoloration, deformation, or quality issues.

Using the product in dusty environments can cause it to malfunction. Check and clean the product regularly.

Internal Cleaning

  1. Unscrew the screws from the back cover of the fan. Press in and disengage the 4 claws on the top and bottom of the front guard, and remove by pulling it away from the fan.

  2. Remove debris using a vacuum cleaner. Wipe off any remaining dust or debris using a soft cloth.

  3. Align the claws on the top and bottom of the front guard with the guides on the back of the fan. Align the handle on the back with the groove on the top of the front guard, and press until it snaps into place. Reattach screws.

External Cleaning

  • Wipe lightly using a soft cloth.
  • For hard to remove dirt, wipe using a cloth dampened with a diluted neutral detergent.

Troubleshooting

Before making repairs, please read the following content carefully to fix common problems.

Product won’t stop oscillating| Product is set to turbo circulation mode.| When operating on turbo circulation mode, the horizontal oscillation, vertical oscillation, and air flow strength cannot be adjusted. Try changing the mode.

Product Use Over Long Periods of Time

If any of the following problems occur due to use over long periods of time, cut power immediately, unplug from the electric socket, and contact IRIS USA, Inc. customer service at 1-800-320-4747.

  • No response when power is turned on.
  • Product makes a strange noise during operation.
  • While oscillating, fan head changes speed irregularly.
  • Power cord is bent or damaged.
  • Power turns on and off when power cord is touched.
  • Product gives off a burnt smell.

WARNING Various factors can have an impact on the product degradation and malfunction.

If abnormalities like those listed above occur, even when the product has not been used for the displayed standard period of use, stop use immediately and contact IRIS USA, Inc. customer service at 1-800-320-4747.

THE 1-YEAR WARRANTY (“WARRANTY”) DOES NOT COVER
Any damage caused by accident, misuse, or abuse, including without limitation, damage caused by use in a humid area, improper cleaning, neglect, alteration, fire, theft, non-recommended temperature use and does not apply to minor imperfections, scratches, stains, discoloration, surface markings as a result of shipping or other damage to external or internal surfaces which does not impair the utility and/or functionality of the product.

TO OBTAIN SERVICE
If service should be necessary, you should contact IRIS USA, Inc. Customer Service (“Customer Service”) at 1-800-320-4747. You may then return the properly packaged product(s), (using adequate packing and shipping material to prevent damage in transit), with postage prepaid along with name, address, telephone number, model number, and proof of date of purchase (a copy of the receipt) and a detailed description of the claimed defect. This warranty shall not cover any damage incurred to the products during transit to Customer Service. You shall have the obligation and responsibility to: pay for all services and parts not covered by the warranty.

The Warranty may not be altered, expanded, extended, revised or varied except by written instrument executed by the Manufacturer.
