Important Instructions
Read these instructions before using the product. These instructions apply to both the DRI Sleeper® eclipse and the DRI Eclipse™ alarms (US market only). In the context of these instructions, references to the DRI Sleeper® eclipse also include the DRI Eclipse™.
The solution for urinary incontinence with the DRI Sleeper Eclipse can take from a few weeks to a few months. For best results, work together with your child. Teach them how the alarm works and practice what to do when the alarm goes off.
Urinary incontinence alarms teach your child to associate the sound of the alarm with a full bladder. If your child remains asleep while the alarm sounds, it’s important to wake them up so they can learn this association and eventually respond to the sensation of a full bladder before the alarm goes off. Always encourage and recognize their progress.
Use the DRI Sleeper Eclipse EVERY NIGHT until the child achieves 14 consecutive dry nights. Then, your child may stop using the alarm.

Cleaning the DRI Sleeper ® eclipse
For the alarm base, clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent or
disinfectant. Do NOT submerge the alarm base in water, or place it where urine
can seep in.
For the UROSENSOR™, rinse with liquid soap and water, and dry thoroughly,
especially the space between the black sensor strips.
Note: Do not use chlorine-based cleaners or place the UROSENSOR™ in the washing machine or dryer as it may cause irreparable damage to the sensor strips.
How to Use the DRI Sleeper® eclipse
- Place the alarm on a nightstand near the child’s bed. Turn on the DRI Sleeper® eclipse by moving the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The alarm will emit five rapid beeps to indicate it is ready.
- Remove the UROSENSOR™ from the alarm. Please note that touching the sensor strips with wet fingers will activate the alarm. Therefore, avoid touching the sensor strips when handling the UROSENSOR™. If the UROSENSOR™ is activated accidentally, turn off the alarm and dry the UROSENSOR™ to reset it.
- Place the UROSENSOR™ with the black sensor strips facing towards the child’s genital area in a pocket and add absorbent layers from small sanitary towels or regular woman’s pads. For this, cut a 25 mm (1 inch) slit in the absorbent layers with sharp scissors. With the tips of the scissors, create a pocket to insert the UROSENSOR™ inside.
Other Ways to Place the UROSENSOR™
Troubleshooting
If your child wets the bed and the UROSENSOR™ does not activate the alarm, ensure that both the alarm and the UROSENSOR™ are functioning correctly by following these steps:
- Turn on the alarm. It should beep five times rapidly.
- Wrap the UROSENSOR™ with a small piece of cloth or paper towel of 2-3 layers. Hold it at a distance of 2-3 cm from the back of the alarm and pour 1-2 teaspoons of warm water onto the UROSENSOR™. It should activate the alarm within 2-3 seconds.
Preparing Your Child to Use the Alarm
To help your child use the alarm, practice what should be done when the
alarm activates during the night. This is called “preparation” and is based on
a strategy called Prospective Memory, which involves establishing a mental
note to remember in the future. To prepare your child’s brain to wake up with
the sound of the alarm, simply practice what to do after turning off the
alarm.
Synchronizing the UROSENSOR ™ with the Alarm Base
When purchasing a new UROSENSOR™, it must be synchronized with the existing
alarm base. If you purchase a replacement or additional alarm base, you must
also synchronize it with the existing UROSENSOR™.
