“T the Push AFO’s unique design enables it to perform several functions. The relatively supple sole leaves dorsal flexion in the ankle joint-free and enables the (residual) function of the calf muscles during push-off to contribute to an efficient and natural gait pattern. At heel strike, it has a restraining function on the plantar flexion of the foot, and at stance phase, it gives bilateral support to the ankle joint.”
