Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Disconnect Power: Before installation, disconnect the power at the main fuse box.
  2. Code Compliance: This fixture should be installed by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, it is recommended to have the installation done by a certified electrician.
  3. Check Parts: Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from the box. If anything is missing, please contact the retailer from which the product was purchased.
  4. Prepare Junction Box: Carefully pull house wires down out of the junction box to make them easily accessible for connecting fixture wires.
  5. Mounting Bracket: Place the mounting bracket (A) against the junction box, with the screw collar loop (E) pointing down towards the floor. Align each slot in the mounting bracket with each hole in the junction box.
  6. Secure Mounting Bracket: Thread one junction box screw (B) into each slot in the mounting bracket and into the holes in the junction box. Tighten the screws to secure the mounting bracket to the junction box. Ensure that house wires are still easily accessible and not pinched between the mounting bracket and ceiling.
  7. Attach Bottom Trim: Place the bottom trim (M) against the bottom of the fixture body (O). Align the holes in the bottom trim with the holes in the bottom of the fixture body.
  8. Secure Bottom Trim: Using a hex wrench (N), thread one screw (L) into each hole in the bottom trim and into the holes in the bottom of the fixture body. Tighten the screws to secure the bottom trim in place. Do not over tighten.

Connecting and Hanging

  1. Locking Link: Connect one locking link (G) to the loop.
  2. Determine Hanging Height: Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture. Cut the chain (H) to the length required to achieve the desired height.
  3. Attach Chain to Locking Link: Slip the chain link at the end of the chain (H) onto the locking link (G) on the loop.
  4. Weave Fixture Wires through Chain Links: Weave the fixture wires through the chain links, skipping every other link.
  5. Attach Threaded Ring and Canopy: Slip the threaded ring (F) and canopy (D) down over the end of the chain (H).
  6. Strip Insulation from Fixture Wires: Strip 3/4 of insulation from the ends of the fixture wires.
  7. Connect Fixture Wires to House Wires: Carefully push the fixture wires up through the hole in the screw collar loop (W) attached to the mounting bracket (A) and out of the end of the threaded pipe inside the junction box. Ensure that the fixture wires are easily accessible to connect to the house wires.
  8. Temporarily Connect Locking Link: To aid in connecting fixture wires to house wires, temporarily connect a second locking link (G) to the link at the end of the chain (H) and to the screw collar loop (W).
  9. Connect Ground Wire: Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Attach a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart for correct wire connections.
  10. Connect Lead and Neutral Wires: Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Attach a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Similarly, twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Attach a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart for correct wire connections.

Installation Instruction

  1. Carefully pull house wires down out of the junction box so house wires are easily accessed to connect fixture wires.

  2. If the screw collar loop (W) is already attached to the mounting bracket (A), proceed to Step 3. To assemble screw collar loop (W) to mounting bracket (A): Hold mounting bracket (A) so the head of the ground screw is pointing down towards the floor. Hold threaded pipe so two hex nuts already attached to threaded pipe (E) are pointing down towards the floor. From the side of the mounting bracket with the ground screw head, screw the short end of the threaded pipe (E) into the hole in the center of the mounting bracket (A) until the hex nut on the threaded pipe (E) touches the mounting bracket. Thread hex nut (V) onto the end of threaded pipe (E). Tighten hex nut (V) to secure threaded pipe (E) to mounting bracket (A). Thread screw collar loop (W) onto the end of threaded pipe pointing down towards the floor. Tighten the screw collar loop up against the hex nut on the threaded pipe (E).

  3. Place mounting bracket (A) up against the junction box. Screw collar loop (E) should be pointing down towards the floor. Align each slot in mounting bracket (A) with each hole in the junction box.

  4. Thread one junction box screw (B) into each slot in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
CAUTION: Make sure house wires are still easily accessible. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.elk-HOME-69484-4-Noura-Wide-4

  5. Place the bottom trim (M) up against the bottom of the fixture body (O). Align holes in the bottom trim (M) with holes in the bottom of the fixture body (O).

  6. Using a hex wrench (N), thread one screw (L) into each hole in the bottom trim (M) and holes in the bottom of the fixture body (O). Tighten screws (L) to secure bottom trim (M) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.

  7. Connect one locking link (G) to the loop.

  8. Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture. Cut chain (H) to length to achieve the desired height.

  9. Slip the chain link at the end of the chain (H) onto the locking link (G) on the loop.

  10. Weave fixture wires through chain links, skipping every other chain link.

  11. Slip the threaded ring (F) and then canopy (D) down over the end of the chain (H).elk-HOME-69484-4-Noura-Wide-4-Light-Pendant-fig- \(3\)

  12. Strip 3/4” of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.

  13. Carefully push fixture wires up through the hole in the screw collar loop (W) attached to mounting bracket (A) and out end of threaded pipe inside the junction box. Carefully pull fixture wires so they are easily accessible to connect to house wires.

  14. To aid in connecting fixture wires to house wires, temporarily connect the second locking link (G) to the link at the end of the chain (H) and to the screw collar loop (W).

  15. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire
to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.Connect Supply (House) Ground Copper Wire to:
