What is Ovulation?
Ovulation is a process in which your ovary releases an egg once in every menstrual cycle.
How this test helps?
It is an ovulation test device that helps you to identify the most fertile days in a month when you can try for pregnancy.
How to recognize the LH surge?
Calculate the length of the menstrual cycle:
- Count the number of days between the first day of your last month’s period to the first day of the current month’s period.
- If your cycle is irregular, then take the average of the last 3 month’s cycle lengths as the length of your menstrual cycle.
Calculate the day to start testing
Count ahead this many days starting with the first day of the last period.

use ovulation test?

Wash your hands. Make sure they are dry before starting the test procedure.

On the calculated day, collect urine specimen in a clean, dry container and put it on a flat surface.

Tear the Pouch and keep the individual components ready for the testing. (Check the colour of desiccant, it should be colourless, if it has turned yellowish green, discard the test and use another test. Once opened, test should be used immediately)

Fill the plastic dropper with the specimen. Holding the dropper vertically, dispense 2 drops of urine specimen into the sample well making sure that there are no air bubbles.

Start the timer.
Note: Note that the test can be done at any time of the day, preferably after 11:00 am and before 10:00 pm. The best times to test are between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and between 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
How to read the result?

Negative: If the coloured line appears at the control side ‘C’ only.

Negative: A distinct coloured line appears at the control side ‘C’ and a light-colourer line at the test side “T”.

Positive: Distinct coloured lines appear at the control side ‘C’ and at the test side “T”

Positive: A distinct coloured line appears at the control side ‘C’ and a dark coloured line at the test side “T”.

Invalid: No line appears at the ‘C’ and ‘T’ side

Invalid: No coloured line appears at the ‘C’ side and the line appear only at the ‘T’ side
Limitations
- For human urine only. False results may occur when the test is used for unintended purposes or with unintended specimens.
- If the result is invalid, then repeat the test.
- This test should not be used as a means of birth control.
- The test is only intended for the detection of LH in hCG-free samples.
- Women suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome may have elevated LH concentrations.
