- Lyyt IP20 High Output LED Tape is a versatile lighting solution supplied on 5m reels.

Product Usage Instructions
- Installation
- Ensure proper installation by following relevant electrical safety procedures.
- Prepare a clean, non-porous surface for mounting the LED tape.
- Peel off the self-adhesive backing of the LED tape and firmly attach it to the chosen surface.
- If less than 5m of tape is needed, locate the solder points at intervals and cut the tape to the desired length.
- Connecting Cut Tape Lengths
- If you need to reconnect a cut tape to another length, follow the steps:
- Solder a wire from the positive (+) terminal of one cut tape length to the positive (+) terminal of the other cut tape length.
- Solder a wire from the negative (-) terminal of one cut tape length to the negative (-) terminal of the other cut tape length.
- Some accessories are supplied with the tape reel for this purpose.
- Power Supply Connection
- Each 5m reel of tape is fitted with a 2.1mm DC jack for easy power input connection to a compatible power supply. Follow these steps:
- Connect the 2.1mm DC jack of the LED tape to the corresponding jack on the power supply.
- If your power supply does not have a 2.1mm DC jack, you can remove and strip the connector to expose bare wires for connection.
- Connecting Multiple Reels
- If your power supply has enough capacity, you can connect another reel to the end of the first reel. Follow these guidelines:
- For 24V tape, up to 25m can be linked in this manner.
- To avoid dimming at the far end due to voltage drop, it is recommended to use a separate wire to loop the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals back to the power supply.
- If you need to connect beyond 25m, a parallel wire must be run from the power supply to the further reels of tape.

- This product is intended to be professionally installed, observing relevant electrical safety procedures.
- Lyyt LED Tape has a self-adhesive backing to allow it to be easily attached to a clean, non-porous surface.
- Where less than 5m of tape is needed, there are solder points as shown below, where the tape may be cut to size.
- These cut points are at 5cm intervals.
- To re-connect to another length of tape after cutting, solder a wire from “+” to “+” and a wire from “-” to “-” as shown below.
- Some accessories are supplied with the tape reel for this purpose.
- For best protection of this tape, we recommend inserting the tape into one of our Aluminium Profiles.
- Each 5m reel of tape is fitted with a 2.1mm DC jack for power input for easy connection to a power supply.
- This connector may be removed and stripped for bare wire connection if a 2.1mm jack is not fitted to the power supply.
- If the power supply has enough capacity to power more than one reel, another reel can be connected to the end of the first reel.
- For 24V tape, up to 25m can be linked in this manner. Using a separate wire to loop “+” and “-” back to the power supply will help to avoid dimming at the far end through voltage drop.
- To connect beyond these lengths, a parallel wire must be run from the power supply to the further reels of tape.
- The power supply must have higher than the rated capacity in Amps (A) for the current required to power the length(s) of LED Tape installed.
- Likewise, if controllers and amplifiers/repeaters are used, these must have adequate capacity for the tape being controlled.
