Work Preparation and Notes
Work Conditions
Maintenance Qualifications
Maintenance personnel must be properly trained and certified before repairing
products.
Environmental Requirements
Indoor light intensity 1000+/200 lux; the test room must be protected from
external daylight and the light must be evenly dispersed and directed downward
from above. Indoor protective work areas must be equipped with electrostatic
protection devices, the main functions of which are electrostatic discharge,
dissipation, neutralization, humidification, shielding and earthing.
Tool Preparation
The following tools are required to repair the robot: Bit size 4×100 mm electric Phillips screwdriver, 3×75 mm Phillips screwdriver, point tweezers, magnetic strip (the magnetic strip is a magnetic induction function detection tool)
Disassembly
- Check whether the tamper-evident label is intact.
- Note the user’s shipping list.
- Complete the ESD preparations.
- Use an electric screwdriver with 2 kg of torque (Note: The torque may need to be increased if not sufficient to remove the battery cover due to differences between electric screwdriver models).
- Store screws individually and do not store screws near motors or speakers (due to magnetic interference).
- Use the correct tweezers to remove the wire assembly; do not pull the wires by hand.
Assembly
- Perform a basic assembly, test for faults and rectify if necessary, then perform a full assembly.
- Use an electric screwdriver with 2 kg of torque (Note: The torque may need to be increased if not sufficient to assemble the battery cover due to differences between electric screwdriver models).
- Ensure wires are ordered neatly and carefully insert the wire harness. Keep the wires clear of the screw holes to ensure the wires are not damaged when the screws are screwed in.
- Ensure the front bumper is installed.
- Make sure every screw is accounted for (and that none have gone into the internals of the robot).
- Once the front bumper is installed, check it can withstand bumps as intended. 7. Ensure the fan noise reduction material is correctly installed; perform a visual inspection (if you cannot see any white material near the fan, this means it has been installed properly).
- Affix tamper-evident stickers at the correct points.
Quality Control
Sweeping
- Check for any abnormal sounds during sweeping. If there are, troubleshoot the issue. (Side brush, main brush, main brush cover, universal wheel, fan, main brush gearbox, drive wheel)
- Check whether the sweeping map is normal and whether there is any abnormal deviation or irregular routes.
- Once the sweeping is complete, check whether the robot is able to return to the charging station and charges normally.
BIT Testing
Entering BIT Mode: Within 3 minutes of starting up on the robot, press and
hold the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same
time (you will hear a voice prompt; press 1 to enter BIT Mode).
External Appearance
- Check whether the gaps are too large; this is usually due to trapped wires or incorrectly installed internal components.
- Check whether the fan noise reduction material has been installed.
- Check whether the cover can be opened and closed normally.
- Clean the main body, dust bin, main brush, main brush cover, main brush gear box, universal wheel and side brush.
Maintenance
Preparation of Error Log Query Information
- Check that the robot is connected to the network.
- Confirm that the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app is updated to the most recent version. 3. Place the robot in the charging station and check that it remains in charging status.
- Enter the robot interface and tap “…” to view the settings.
- Select “Help & Feedback,” then “Report an issue,” enter a description of the issue and check “Send Issue Log” to submit.
- Send the robot serial number to Dreame.
Note: Logs are only saved on the server for 7 days.
Maintenance Analysis Methods
- Ask the user for more information about the issue (what happened, how frequently, when it started happening, scenarios in which it happens, etc.)
- If you suspect that it may be a software issue, try restoring the robot to the original version to see if this eliminates the fault.
- Place the robot in standby at the charging station, check the robot’s sweeping settings and logs in the app and check for any error logs.
- Replicate the fault (through cleaning and BIT tests) to determine the extent of the fault.
- Confirm the fault and determine any faulty components.
Maintenance Analysis
Testing methods:
- For the BIT test, enter manual testing and test for faults one by one or singularly.
- Upload the error log and send to Dreame to have them query the error log.
- Confirm the fault.
Note: All repair processes that require replacement of the LDS or main control board require the entire LDS or main control board assembly to be replaced and then tested.
Power On/Off Faults
- The robot does not switch on Fault conditions:
- No response when the Power button is pressed
- The power button LED illuminates when switched on (flashing or constant) but no startup tone
The following components are involved: Motherboard, battery, charging station, speaker
Maintenance analysis methods:
- No response when button pressed
- If there is no response when the button is pressed, restore the robot to rectify the system crash. (Note: The robot may enter low-temperature protection mode when operating at a temperature below 0°C. The robot will not turn back on if the temperature is too low. Place the robot in a warmer environment and see if it turns back on.)
- If this has no effect, check whether the battery voltage is normal. If there is no voltage output, replace the battery module. c. Replace the motherboard.
- The power button LED illuminates when switched on (flashing or constant) but no startup tone
- Try restoring the robot to the original version to see if this eliminates the fault.
- Replace the speaker to eliminate a speaker’s fault.
- Replace the motherboard.
Automatic switch-off
The robot will sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity when not at the charging station. After being in sleep mode for 2 hours, it will automatically turn off. In normal conditions, standby mode consumes 70–75% less power than while operating. If the battery level falls below 10% while in standby mode, the robot may switch off. The robot may not switch on if the battery level is too low. This is normal.
Fault conditions:
Automatic switch-off occurs in two scenarios: Automatic switch-off during
cleaning and automatic switch-off when in standby if not at the charging
station.

Maintenance analysis methods
- If the robot automatically switches off during cleaning but it can be switched on when at the charging station, this means that either the battery contacts are loose or the robot has entered protection mode. Try replacing the battery. Differentiating: When this fault occurs, disassemble the robot and measure the battery voltage output at the motherboard. Take out the battery and test the voltage output. If there is no output, this means it is in protection mode. If the voltage output is normal, it means there is poor contact.
- When in standby mode and not at the charging station the robot will automatically switch off. When the robot is not at the charging station it will sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity. After being in sleep mode for 2 hours the robot will automatically switch off.
Charging Faults
- Fault conditions: Charging abnormalities (first wipe down the contacts at the charging station and robot to ensure the contacts are not the cause of error).
- Components involved in charging failure: Charging station, power adapter, robot (charging contact, charging wire assembly, battery, motherboard)
- Maintenance analysis methods: First, test with a multimeter
- Step one: Test the charging station individually. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage between the two charging station contacts. Record the voltage value. If it is at 20 V ±1 V it is considered defective.
- Step two: Charge the robot at the charging station and use a multimeter to measure the voltage output at the charging station contacts and see whether it is 20 V ±1 V.
Solution:
- If the charging station is determined to be defective through the above steps:
- Replace the charging station.
- Otherwise, troubleshoot the issue by replacing the following components:
- Replace the lithium battery module in the robot.
- Replace the motherboard assembly.
- Replace the charging contact wire assembly
Cliff Sensor Faults
The cliff sensors are located on the bottom of the robot and consist of four
black windows, with two front cliff impact components on the left and right.
It is used to detect possible drops, and is triggered in the event of a drop
that is greater than 10 cm where the drive wheel is not overhanging. Try
cleaning the cliff sensor.
Fault conditions:
“Please clean the cliff sensor” voice prompt.
The following components are involved:
Left cliff sensors, right cliff sensors, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether the cliff sensor window is dirty.
- Determine whether the left or right visual component is faulty and replace the faulty component (it may also be that the entire cliff sensor assembly is faulty).
- Replace the motherboard.
Bumper Faults
The bumper and the cliff sensor are one component. The left downward front
bumper component and the right downward front bumper component are triggered
when an obstacle is hit and the robot attempts to avoid the obstacle.
Fault conditions
When the robot starts up, it moves abnormally, keeps moving backward or in
circles or a voice prompt reports there is an error. Push the bumper to check
whether it springs back.
The following components are involved

Maintenance analysis methods
- Check that the bumper has not been pushed in and is stuck (generally speaking, if it is stuck on one side it does not spring back easily and the sensor is permanently triggered).
- Check whether the front bumper is damaged and that it springs back normally. 3. Remove the front bumper component and perform a BIT test to check whether the left or right bumper or buffer switch is faulty. Replace the faulty downward front bumper component.
- If the wire assembly is still faulty after troubleshooting, replace the motherboard.
Drive Wheel Faults
Drive wheel faults are generally due to cliff sensor errors, internal speed
feedback errors or debris stuck in the wheel.
Fault conditions
- The robot is not suspended in the air, but during sweeping a voice prompt reports that a cliff has been detected and the user should place the robot back on the ground. The fall sensor uses a microswitch on the wheel, which is open during normal sweeping and closed when the wheel is suspended, thus triggering an error report.
- Voice prompt states “Left drive wheel error. Please check for debris and clean the drive wheel.”
- Voice prompt states “Right drive wheel error. Please check for debris and clean the drive wheel.”
The following components are involved:
Left drive wheel component, right drive wheel component, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Perform a BIT test on the drive wheel to check for normal operation and press on the drive wheel to check whether there is any debris caught in the wheel.
- Check whether the drive wheel gold fingers are dirty, whether the drive wheel wiring harness welding connection points are intact, and whether the assembly is correct.
- Once the drive wheel fault has been verified, replace the drive wheel.
- Replace the motherboard.
Fan Faults
- Fault conditions: Abnormal fan noise; fan does not operate
- The following components are involved: Fan, fan wire assembly, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Manually rotate the fan to see if it can rotate normally and remove any foreign objects that have been drawn in by the fan.
- If it has been verified as a fan fault, replace the fan.
- If it has been verified as a fan wire assembly fault, replace the wire assembly.
- Replace the motherboard.
Main Brush Faults
Fault conditions
Abnormal main brush noise; brush does not rotate and voice prompt says to
clean the brush
The following components are involved

Maintenance analysis methods
- Abnormal main brush noise: Check whether there are foreign objects entangled in the main brush and if necessary remove them. If there is still a noise after removing the foreign objects, manually rotate the main brush to determine whether the noise is coming from the main brush gearbox and replace the main brush assembly.
- Main brush does not rotate: Check whether there are any foreign objects entangled or stuck in the main brush and if necessary remove them. Check whether the main brush works properly and check the main brush assembly. If the main brush still does not rotate, replace the motherboard.
Dust Bin Faults
There is a small magnet on the left side of the dust bin filter. The Hall
sensor on the robot detects the magnetic field to determine whether the dust
bin is installed. If the dust bin is not installed at the start of sweeping or
charging, a voice prompt will announce “Dust bin not installed, please install
it.”
Fault conditions:
- If the dust bin is installed but is not detected by the system, the robot cannot operate.
- If the dust bin is not constantly detected during cleaning, the robot will stop and a voice prompt will request to install the dust bin.
- The filter is clogged, the dust bin has not been cleaned for a long time or the filter is wet.
The following components are involved: Filter magnet, Hall sensor component, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods
- Check whether the filter is clogged. If the dust bin has not been cleaned for a long time or the filter is wet, completely dry the filter after use.
- If the dust bin has not been detected, check that it is installed correctly, that the magnet is present and the Hall sensor wire assembly is installed properly.
- Confirm whether the Hall sensor wire assembly is faulty and if so replace the Hall sensor component.
- Replace the motherboard.
Side Brush Faults
Fault conditions:
- If the voice prompt announces a side brush fault, check and clean the side brush.
- The side brush does not rotate.
The following components are involved:
Side brush, side brush gearbox, side brush plate, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods
- If there are abnormal noises, check whether the side brush is damaged, deformed or contains debris and clean, reinstall or replace the side brush as necessary.
- Perform a BIT test on the side brush and check for proper operation. Confirm whether the side brush is faulty and replace the assembly if necessary.
- Disassemble the robot to determine whether there is any deformation at the connection between the motherboard and the side brush clips and whether the connection is reliable. If there is abnormal deformation of the clips, replace the motherboard.
Gyroscope Faults
Fault conditions:
If a voice prompt announces a failure during startup, please check the
instruction manual or contact Customer Service.
The following components are involved:
- Motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check and upload the error log and confirm that it is a gyroscope fault.
- Perform a BIT test to determine whether the gyroscope is working properly. If the robot continues to swivel during the gyroscope test without stopping, this can be determined to be a gyroscope fault and the motherboard needs to be replaced.
Universal Wheel Issues

- Check whether there are foreign objects wound around or stuck in the universal wheel and clean out if necessary.
- If there is no debris in the wheel but the fault persists, replace the universal wheel.
Speaker Issues
Fault conditions:
The speaker does not play audio, there is abnormal noise or the speaker is
quiet. The following components are involved: Speaker assembly, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- If the speaker is damaged, replace the speaker.
- If the motherboard is damaged, replace the motherboard.
Button Issues
Fault conditions: The Power button, Charge button or Reset button do not function properly
The following components are involved: Button base assembly, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods
- If the button outer shell is damaged, replace the button base assembly.
- If the button itself or related electrical circuit is faulty, replace the motherboard.
Water Tank Issues
Fault conditions:
Water tank detection is abnormal, does not pump water
The following components are involved: Water tank component, water tank detector wire assembly, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- When the water tank is installed, you should hear a voice prompt announcing “Water tank has been installed.” If you do not hear a voice prompt when the water tank is installed, check whether the magnet above the water tank inlet is in place and verify that the water tank is functioning correctly.
- Disassemble the water tank and check whether the Hall sensor component of the water tank is connected properly and installed in the correct location. If the Hall sensor component is faulty, replace the Hall sensor component.
- Replace the motherboard.
Charging Issues
Fault conditions
- When the robot is in front of the charging station press the Charge button. The machine spins in a circle once and does not receive a signal from the charging station and does not dock into the charging station.
- The robot receives the charging station signal and moves to the dock but is unable to dock properly. After several failed attempts the voice prompt says “Please move the robot to the dock to charge.”

- Replace the charging station and perform a test to see whether the charging station is the cause of the fault.
- Disassemble the robot to check whether the charging components are soldered well and whether there is damage
- Replace the motherboard.
LDS Faults
Fault conditions
- The LDS radar does not rotate properly. The following components are involved: LDS, motherboard, connection wire bundle
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether the LDS rotates. If not, remove the LDS upper cover and check whether the wire assembly and drive coil are connected to the robot.
- Check whether the LDS wire assembly connector is connected properly.
- Replace the LDS wire assembly.
- If the fault is not rectified, replace the LDS or the motherboard.
Edge Sensor Issues
Fault conditions:
- The robot turns in circles.
- The robot moves abnormally.
The following components are involved: Edge sensor, edge sensor wire assembly, motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether there is dirt on the surface of the edge sensor lens.
- Check whether the edge sensor wire assembly is damaged or the connection is loose.
- If the fault is not rectified, replace the edge sensor or the motherboard.
Mop Motor Issues
Fault conditions:
- The mop motor does not rotate.
- The mop motor does not stop rotating forward or backward.
The following components are involved:
Motherboard, mop motor, mop component, mop motor subboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether the mop rotates. If it does not rotate or rotates forward and backward, replaces the mop motor control board or the motherboard; otherwise replace the mop motor.
- Check whether the mop motor speed is abnormal. If it is slow, check whether the mop motor is deformed or damaged.
Wi-Fi Connection Faults
Fault conditions:
- The robot cannot be configured for the network by following the normal procedure.
- The robot cannot connect to the wireless network after normal configuration.
The following components are involved:
- Motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Place the machine near the router to configure the network according to the normal procedure. If the configuration cannot be completed, replace the motherboard.
Firmware Update Issues
Fault conditions:
The firmware cannot be updated.
Components involved:
- Motherboard
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Make sure the robot battery is charged to at least 20% before updating.
- The robot must be placed in the charging station while updating.
- If the firmware update reports an error, try switching on and off again to synchronize the robot’s clock (inconsistencies between the robot’s clock and the local time will cause the firmware download to fail).
- If you are still unable to update the firmware of the robot, replace the motherboard.
Note: After completing repairs on the robot, make sure to perform a Wi-Fi reset operation to make it easier for the user to connect.
Self-Wash Base Power-On Issues
The power indicator lamp on the control board indicates whether the self-wash
base is powered on.
Fault conditions:
- No screen display; no response when button pressed
- The control board power indicator lamp is not illuminated
Components involved:
Power adapter, all slave devices, control board
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check that the power adapter is receiving power and that it is connected properly.
- Use a multimeter to check whether the power adapter has an output.
- Unplug all the devices from the control board one by one and power on each slave device to check whether the fault is eliminated. If so, replace the last unplugged slave device.
- If all the slave devices are unplugged and the fault remains, replace the control board.
Self-Wash Base Button or Button Tone Issues
Fault conditions
- There is no response when the Start button or Home button is pressed.
- When the button is pressed, the expected action occurs but there is no tone.
Components involved
UI board, control board, wire assembly connecting the UI board to the control
board
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check the UI board for visual defects.
- Replace the UI board.
- Check for any abnormalities at the wire assembly connection.
- Replace the motherboard.
Self-Wash Base Display Issues
Fault conditions
- No display on the screen
- Screen display abnormal
Components involved:
Display screen, UI board, control board, connection wire bundle between the UI
board and control board
Maintenance analysis methods:
- If the display screen does not display correctly, first check whether the screen port is connected correctly and whether there are any abnormalities at the connection port. If the fault persists after the display screen is replaced, replace the UI board.
- If there is no display on the screen, first check whether the screen port is connected correctly and whether there are any abnormalities at the connection port. If the fault persists after the display screen is replaced, replace the UI board. If this also does not rectify the fault, check the wiring assembly for abnormalities and replace the motherboard.
Self-Wash Base Pairing Issues
Connect the self-wash base and the robot using a pairing cable. Press and hold
the Start button and press the Home button twice at the same time. You will
hear three beeps to indicate successful pairing. Restart both the robot and
self-wash base before using them.
Fault conditions:
- The self-wash base and robot are unable to pair.
- The self-wash base and robot have been paired but the display screen is not showing the robot’s status.
- The self-wash base and robot have been paired and the display is working normally but the robot’s movements cannot be controlled.
- The self-wash base and robot have been paired, the display is working normally, and the robot’s movements can be controlled, but the mop cleaning by the self-wash base cannot be controlled.
Components involved

Maintenance analysis methods
- The self-wash base and robot are unable to pair.
- Check that the self-wash base and robot are both switched on.
- Check that the pairing cable is plugged in correctly.
- Try several times.
- Check that the debug board, UI board and debug connection wires are functioning correctly. Check the port is also functioning correctly.
- Replace the UI board and pair again.
- Try pairing with a different robot.
- The self-wash base and robot have been paired but the display screen is not showing the robot’s status.
- Power off and reboot both the self-wash base and robot.
- Try pairing several times.
- Replace the UI board and pair again.
- Try pairing with a different robot.
- The self-wash base and robot have been paired and the display is working normally but the robot cannot be controlled.
- Check that the robot is operating normally.
- Check that the 433 antenna is soldered correctly. If the antenna has a welding offset, manually straighten the antenna.
- Replace the UI board and pair again.
- Try pairing with a different robot.
- The self-wash base and robot have been paired, the display is working normally, and the robot can be controlled to return to base, but the mop cleaning by the self-wash base cannot be controlled.
- Check the UI board and control board connection wires and ports for any abnormalities.
- Replace the UI board and pair again.
- Replace the control board.
Water Tank and Washboard Sensor Issues
The fresh tank, waste tank, and washboard all have magnets on the left and
right side. They all have a corresponding Hall plate to detect whether the
components have been installed correctly.
Fault conditions:
The fresh tank, waste tank, and washboard are all installed, but the robot is
reporting they are not installed.
Components involved:
Hall plate, control board, Hall plate wire assembly
Maintenance analysis methods
- Check that the fresh tank, waste tank, and washboard are installed correctly.
- Check whether the magnets are in the correct place and are still magnetic.
- Check whether the Hall plate is installed correctly and whether the wire assembly has abnormalities and is connected in the port properly.
- Replace the Hall plate.
- Replace the control board.
Fresh Water Pump Issues
The fresh water pump pumps water from the fresh tank to the washboard. If this
is not working correctly, the self-wash base will report “Insufficient water
in the fresh tank.”
Fault conditions:
- The fresh water pump is unable to pump water to the washboard.
- The self-wash base reports “Insufficient water in fresh tank.”
Components involved:
Fresh water pump, solenoid valve, flow meter, control board
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check that there is enough water in the fresh tank.
- Check whether the fresh tank rubber plugs, tee pipe and hoses have been installed correctly.
- Check whether the water pump is working normally. If not, replace the pump. If the fault persists, replace the control board.
- Check whether the solenoid valve functions correctly (you will hear a noise when the solenoid valve is open). If not, replace the solenoid valve. If the fault persists, replace the control board.
- Check whether the flow meter has been installed correctly (missing locking screws/waterproof washers).
- Replace the flow meter. If the fault persists, replace the control board.
Waste Water Pump Issues
The wastewater pump works by creating negative pressure in the waste tank.
This negative pressure sucks the wastewater in the washboard into the waste
tank. If this is not functioning correctly, the robot will report a “Waste
tank error, please ensure it is installed and empty.”
Fault conditions:
- The pump is unable to transfer wastewater from the washboard to the waste tank.
- The robot reports “Waste tank error, please ensure it is installed and empty.”
Components involved:
Waste water pump, waste tank, control board
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether there is waste water waiting to be pumped from the washboard. Check whether the washboard has been installed correctly, whether it is blocked and whether the sealing plugs have been installed.
- Check whether the self-wash base suction port has a plug installed, check whether the waste tank is installed correctly and whether the waste tank is full. Check whether the waste tank is sealed properly and check whether the waste tank rubber seals are installed.
- Check whether the water suction port is in the correct position, check that the water pipes are installed correctly and whether the pipes are being constricted, and check whether they are connected properly.
- If all of these have been checked but the fault persists, replace the pump.
- If the fault persists after replacing the pump, replace the control board.
Charging Issues
When the robot enters the self-wash base, if the robot’s battery is not full,
it will begin charging. The robot will report “Start charging.” The robot’s
indicator lamp will be illuminated. If the robot and base are paired, the
self-wash base will display a charging icon and the robot’s current battery
level.
Fault conditions:
- The robot enters the self-wash base but does not charge.
- The robot enters the self-wash base and starts charging, but the charging icon is not displayed.
Components involved:
Charging electrode sheet, control board
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether the charging electrode sheet is in proper contact with the robot’s electrode sheet, and check whether the surface of the electrode sheet is dirty or rusted.
- Check whether the display screen or control board power indicator is illuminated. If not, follow the steps under “Self-wash base power-on issues.” If the indicator lamp is illuminated, replace the electrode sheet. If the fault persists, replace the control board. If the fault still persists, replace the robot charger.
Charging Issues
Fault conditions: Robot does not charge
Components involved: Charging module, control board, connection wires
between control board and charging plate
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether the charging window is dirty and that it is installed properly.
- Check whether the connection cable is working and that the port is not loose.
- Replace the charging plate.
- Replace the control board.
- If the fault still persists, try pairing with a different robot and charging.
Mop Drying Issues
The self-wash base dries the mop after cleaning it. This function uses a fan
and PTC and takes a while. (The robot does not trigger an alert if the drying
function malfunctions.)
Fault conditions:
- Fan not working
- PTC not working

Liquid Level Sensor Issues
If the liquid level in the washboard is too high, the robot reports that the
liquid level is too high.
Fault conditions:
The robot reports “Liquid level too high.”
Components involved:
Washboard, washboard liquid level sensor, control board
Maintenance analysis methods:
- Check whether the washboard’s electrode plate is dirty and whether there is residual waste water in the washboard.
- Replace the washboard liquid level sensor.
- Replace the control board.
Self-Wash Base Leaking
It is normal for a small amount of water to remain after cleaning the mops,
however if a large amount of water remains in the washboard or the bottom of
the self-clean base, this becomes a fault.
Fault conditions:
Water remains in the washboard or in the bottom of the self-wash base.
Components involved:
Washboard, structural components
Maintenance analysis methods:
- If water accumulates in the washboard, check whether there is a blockage and that the waste water pump is pumping out the wastewater properly.
- If water accumulates in the bottom of the self-wash base, check whether the soft rubber plugs connecting the washboard and the self-wash base are all in the correct position and that the seal is intact.
- Check whether the rear water pipes are intact and are installed correctly.
- If these are not the cause of the fault, remove the back cover and look for any leaks.
Detergent Issues
After the detergent bottle installed, the peristaltic pump will pump detergent
from the bottle when cleaning the mop pad for cleaning the mop pad.
Fault conditions:
Base station does not output detergent.
Components involved:
the peristaltic pump, the detergent bottle,the self-wash base upper bracket
detergent interface
Maintenance analysis methods:
- confirm that the detergent bottle outlet and air outlet are not blocked or deformed.
- confirm whether the self-wash base upper bracket detergent interface is blocked or deformed.
- confirm whether the detergent bottle switch contact piece is stuck or missing.
- confirm whether the peristaltic pump line is broken or dislodged and whether the line is properly connected.
- replace the peristaltic pump.
- replace the pump control board.
Host repeatedly into the charging stand Issues
Host back off a short distance when return to base for charging, and make a second docking.
- Fault conditions: The host repeatedly goes up and down the charging stand during the return of the base charging process and cannot be charged.
- Components involved: charging board assembly of the host, charging board assembly of clean dock, motherboard Maintenance analysis methods:
- Manually place the host back into the charging stand to confirm whether the host can be charged, otherwise replace the charging board assembly or motherboard..
- replacing the charging board assembly of the host.
- replace the motherboard.
- Replace the charging board assembly of the clean dock.
Line laser Issues
The host will realize the obstacle avoidance function with the help of the line laser.
Fault conditions: The host can’t avoid obstacles normally or there is a line laser-type alarm during the operation.
Components involved: Motherboard, Line laser assembly, Collision perspective window
Maintenance analysis methods
- confirm whether there are foreign objects blocking the collision perspective window..
- confirm that the line laser harness is normally connected.
- replace the line laser assembly.
- replace the motherboard.
Camera Issues
The host will realize the obstacle avoidance function with the help of the camera.
Fault conditions:
The host can’t avoid obstacles normally or there is a host alarm during the
operation.

Maintenance analysis methods:
- confirming whether there are foreign objects blocking collision perspective window..
- replace the camera assembly.
- replace the motherboard.
Error Messages and Repair Methods
Error 1: Please clean and gently push the front bumper sensor
Error code:
The bumper sensor is stuck.
Fault conditions
- The robot starts up and the movement is abnormal. After 10 seconds a voice prompt announces “Bumper error, please gently tap it to see if it rebounds.”
- The robot moves forward and backward and a voice prompt announces “Bumper error, please gently tap it to see if it rebounds.”
Testing method:
- Push the bumper with your hand to see whether it is stuck.
- Perform a BIT test (within 3 minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same time) to determine whether it is the left or right bumper that is malfunctioning.
Maintenance method:
- Based on the test results, unplug the wire bundle terminal at the motherboard end of the downward front bumper assembly on the faulty side and then reinsert it. Perform a BIT test to determine whether it is still malfunctioning.
- Replace the downward front bumper component on the faulty side.
- Replace the motherboard.
Error 2: Please move the robot to a new location and restart it
Error code:
Wheels suspended
Fault conditions
When the robot starts cleaning on a flat surface, the voice prompt announces
“Wheels suspended. Please move me to a flat surface.”
Testing method
Perform a BIT test (within 3 minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold
the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same time)
to determine whether the drive wheels are able to rotate normally.
Maintenance method
- Check whether there are foreign bodies stuck in the wheel
- Based on the test results, replace the corresponding drive wheel component on the faulty side.
Error 3: Please clean the cliff sensor, move the robot away from the cliff and restart.
- Error code: Cliff sensor malfunction
- Fault conditions: When the robot starts cleaning on a flat surface, the voice prompt announces “Please clean the cliff sensor.”
- Testing method: Clean any dust from the sensor before testing. During the BIT test (within 3 minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same time), test the cliff sensor to determine whether it is faulty.
Maintenance method
- Based on the test results, unplug the wire bundle terminal of the downward front bumper assembly on the faulty side and then reinsert it. Perform another BIT test to determine whether it is still malfunctioning.
- Replace the downward front bumper component on the faulty side.
- Replace the motherboard.
Error 4: Please remove the main brush to clean the bristles and bearings
Error code:
There may be foreign bodies entangled in the main brush.
Fault conditions:
After the robot starts cleaning, the voice prompt announces “Main brush error,
please check and clean it.”
Testing method:
First remove the main brush to see if there are foreign objects wrapped around
the shaft, remove the foreign objects and perform the BIT test (within 3
minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold the Charge button and quickly
press the Power button 5 times at the same time), then perform a brush roller
test to see if the brush is rotating normally.
Maintenance method
- Check whether there are foreign bodies stuck in the main brush bearing.
- Replace the main brush gearbox assembly.
- Replace the motherboard assembly.
- This error may occur when using the robot on carpets. Advise the customer to not use the robot on thick carpets.
5.5 Error 5: Please remove and clean the side brush
Error code
There may be foreign bodies entangled in the side brush.
Fault conditions
After the robot starts cleaning, the voice prompt announces “Side brush
malfunction. Please check and clean the side brush.”
Testing method:
First check the side brush and remove any foreign bodies. Perform a BIT test
(within 3 minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold the Charge button
and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same time), then perform a
side brush test to see whether the side brush is rotating normally.
Maintenance method:
- Remove the side brush; check whether there are foreign bodies entangled in the side brush, and then check whether the fault is eliminated after cleaning.
- Replace the side brush gearbox assembly.
- Replace the motherboard.
Error 6: Please check whether there are foreign bodies caught in the main wheel, move the robot to a new location and restart
- Error code: The robot may be stuck or there may be foreign bodies caught in the main wheel.
- Fault conditions: During cleaning, the voice prompt announces “Right drive wheel error. Please check for debris and clean the drive wheel.” or “Left drive wheel error. Please check for debris and clean the drive wheel.”
- Testing method: According to the prompt, check whether there is a foreign body in the wheel on the faulty side.
Maintenance method
- Remove any foreign bodies from the wheels.
- Replace the faulty wheel module.
Error 7: Please clear any obstacles around the robot
Error code:
The robot may be stuck or trapped.
Fault conditions:
The robot keeps moving abnormally in a small area until it reports an error.
Testing method
Perform a manual BIT test (within 3 minutes of turning on the robot, press
and hold the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times) to test
all potential sources of fault, including the wheels and bumper sensors.
Maintenance method
- Replace the relevant component based on the test results.
- Replace the motherboard.
Error 8: Please re-install the dust bin and filter
Error code
Dust bin not installed
Fault conditions
When the cleaning operation is started, a voice prompt announces “Dust bin not
installed, please install it,” and the sweeping button is flashing red.
Testing method
Perform a BIT test (within 3 minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold
the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same time)
to determine whether the dust bin sensor is faulty.
Maintenance method
- Clean the dust bin and check that the filter magnet has been installed.
- Replace the filter assembly.
- Replace the Hall sensor wire assembly.
- Replace the motherboard assembly.
Error 9: Strong magnetic field detected. Please move the robot away from the virtual wall and restart
Error code:
Strong magnetic field detected
Fault conditions:
While the robot is sweeping, a voice prompt announces “Error, please check the
user manual or contact customer service” and the sweeping button is flashing
red.
Testing method: Perform a BIT test (within 3 minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same time) to test for abnormal left and right geomagnetic detection.
Maintenance method
- Check that the magnets are still attached to the dust bin and the bottom of the robot.
- Disassemble the robot to check that the left and right magnet wire assemblies are correctly plugged in.
- Replace the faulty magnet component.
- Replace the motherboard assembly.
Error 10: Charging error, please clean charging contacts.
Error code:
Charging fault
Fault conditions:
After the robot has been charging in the charging station for a period of
time, a voice prompt announces “Charging error, please clean charging
contacts.”
Testing method
- Measure the voltage output of the charging station (by the test method in 4.2)
- Disassemble the charging station and check whether the positive and negative wire assembly terminals are loose.
- Check whether the no-load output voltage of the charging station is between 3.5 V and 4.5 V, and whether the loaded output voltage of the charging station is between 19.5 V and 20.5 V.
Maintenance method
- Tighten the positive and negative terminal screws of the charging station.
- Replace the charging station.
- Replace the motherboard assembly.
- Replace the lower housing structural components.
- If the fault persists, replace the battery.
Error 11: Please wait for the battery temperature to return to a normal range before using the robot.
Error code Battery fault.
Fault conditions
When the robot is charging, a voice prompt announces “Battery overheating or
overcooling, please wait until the battery’s temperature returns normal, then
continue to use.”
Testing method:
Place the robot in the charging station to charge; shortly after a voice
prompt announces “Battery overheating or overcooling, please wait until the
battery’s temperature returns normal, then continue to use.”
Maintenance method
- Replace the lithium battery.
- Replace the motherboard assembly.
Error 12: Please try resetting the system
Error code
Internal error
Fault conditions
Shortly after the robot is started up, a voice prompt announces “Error, please
check the user manual or contact customer service.”
Testing method
Perform a BIT test (within 3 minutes of starting up the robot, press and hold
the Charge button and quickly press the Power button 5 times at the same time)
to test each functional item for abnormalities.
Maintenance method
Replace the faulty component according to the abnormal items detected by the
BIT test.
