INSTRUCTION

  • Before you start to turn, slowly take your foot of f the ground and try and balance in your pirouette position. Do this a couple of times before you feel ready to turn.

  • The best way to start up is good to have someone in the back, so the person can spot you.

  • Put your disc on the floor and put your foot down not too far forward and not too far back.
    Make sure you don’t lift. The foot should be stable on the disc as possible.

  • Make sure you’re centered as possible. If your body is leaning too far forward before you start to turn, you’ll fall forward of f balance; and if your body is leaning too far back, you’ll fall backward of f balance. So make sure you’re right in the middle.

  • Start in your prep position, slowly bend down making sure to stay centered as possible and then try your first turn. Remember the spot,making sure your head stays to the front as long as possible before whipping it to the other side.
    Once you’re feeling comfortable with a single turn, try for a double. And when you feel comfortable with a double, try a triple and more.

  • As you keep practicing on your ballet disc start to get the hang of it and be able to increase your turns to higher and higher numbers.

  • If you someone who finally has the hang of it and want to try more advanced turns, you can try changing your arm positions and you leg positions
