Installation

Notes

  1. Plug the included USB-C cable into the docking station and the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on your source (ex. laptop).
  2. Connect up to three monitors using the available HDMI, VGA, and DisplayPort video ports. Note: Up to 3 monitor screens can be extended, giving you four (including the built-in laptop screen) screens for usage.

Additional Steps

  1. Connect up to 2 USB 2.0 peripherals–such as a keyboard or mouse.
  2. Connect up to 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 peripherals.
  3. Connect a USB-A device to the dedicated Quick Charge port for smart charging. Note: This port only supports charging. The unit needs to be plugged into the included DC adapter or a PD adapter for it to function properly. The port supports up to 5V, 9V, or 12V of charging power.
  4. Connect to a wired Gigabit LAN using Tripp Lite’s N201-Series Cat6 Cable (sold separately) if Wi-Fi signals are weak or unavailable.
  5. Connect the 3.5 mm Mini Stereo port to a microphone or speaker using a 3.5 mm audio cable. Note: The audio output can be switched freely between the computer, monitor, and dock. If you switch audiooutput from the monitor to the headphone jack output from the dock, the monitor will not output audio.
  6. Connect the TOSLINK port to your device using a TOSLINK cable.
  7. Connect the coaxial port to your device using a coaxial cable.
  8. Insert a Micro SD or SD card into the corresponding slot.

Notes

  • Refer to the SST (Single-Stream Transport) and MST (Multi-Stream Transport) tables on the following page for more resolution details.
  • MacOS laptops or computers will only extend up to one monitor; the rest will be mirrored.
  • Triple-Display connections can be connected in this manner: HDMI+HDMI+DP or HDMI+HDMI+VGA.

    • Note: Both memory card slots work simultaneously.
  6. Transfer data up to 10 Gbps using the USB Type-C Data port.
  7. Charge the source by connecting its USB-C PD charger to the docking station’s USB-C PD Charging port for up to 100W (20V/5A) of charging power.
  8. If you have a security cable chain lock, connect it to the anti-theft lock port.

3-Year Limited Warranty

Tripp Lite warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of initial purchase. Tripp Lite’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To obtain service under this warranty, you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from Tripp Lite or an authorized. Tripp Lite service center. Products must be returned to Tripp Lite or an authorized Tripp Lite service center with transportation charges prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty does not apply to equipment, which has been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has been altered or modified in any way.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, Tripp Lite MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
