Product Information

The product is a TV set with model number 70-55PUL7-WMFZ1 manufactured by Funai Corporation under the trade name Philips. The TV set comes with two stands for regular installation and is not intended for wall mount installation. The package includes a quick start guide, safety instructions, limited warranty, caution sheet, and AC cord. The TV set has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules and must be operated under certain conditions to avoid harmful interference. Any modification to the apparatus must be approved by Funai Corporation to maintain compliance with FCC Rules and regulations.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Getting started: To install the stands, a Phillips-head screwdriver is required. Hold both sides of the TV set to place it on a table covered with a cloth or blanket to avoid damage to the TV screen.
  2. Unpacking: Carefully lay the TV set with the screen side down on the front cardboard as shown in the figure. Please save the front cardboard to use when moving or shipping the TV.
  3. Installing the stands: Fasten the stands to the TV set with four screws (included). While fastening the screws, hold the stand to prevent it from falling.
  4. Lifting the TV set: To avoid damage to the TV and its screen, it MUST NOT be carried in a horizontal position when being moved.
  5. Connecting power and antenna, cable or satellite: Connect the power cord and antenna, cable or satellite following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Getting started

! Please read the entire instructions once before following them step by step.

  • A wide open space is recommended for assembly.
  • A Phillips-head screwdriver is required to fasten the stands to the TV set.
  • Be careful not to injure your fingers and keep children away during assembly.
  • It is recommended that two or more people remove the TV set from the box.

What’s in the box

Thin TVs can easily bend. To avoid damage to this TV and its screen, it MUST NOT be carried in a horizontal position when being moved.

Caution for packing when you move/ship

  • Caution!: Please save the front cardboard* to use when moving or shipping the TV.
  • Caution!: To avoid damage to the TV screen, do not pack the stands on the same side as the screen.

Unpacking

Carefully lay the TV set, with the screen side down, on the front cardboard as shown in the figure.
Cover a table top with a cloth or blanket to avoid damage to the TV screen. Hold both sides of the TV set to place on the table.

Installing the stands

Wall mount bracket kit

  • Compatible wall bracket kits are available from third party vendors and will allow mounting of the TV on the wall.
  • The recommended wall mount bracket kit (sold separately) allows the mounting of the TV on the wall.

  • The wall mount bracket must be installed by experts.

When installing the unit on the wall, allow this much space.

  • Top: 11.8” (30 cm)
  • Left and right side: 5.9” (15 cm)
  • Bottom: 3.9” (10 cm)

Funai Corporation is not liable for these types of accidents or injuries noted below.

  • Install the wall mount bracket on a sturdy vertical wall.
  • If installed onto a ceiling or slanted wall, the TV and wall mount bracket may fall which could result in a severe injury.
  • Do not use screws that are longer or shorter than their specified length. If screws too long are used this may cause mechanical or electrical damage inside the TV set.
  • If screws too short are used this may cause the TV set to fall.
  • Do not fasten the screws by excessive force. This may damage the product or cause the product to fall, leading to injury.
  • For safety reasons use 2 people to mount the TV onto a wall mounting bracket.
  • Do not mount the TV onto the wall mounting bracket while your TV is plugged in or Turned On. It may result in an electrical shock injury.
