Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Disconnect power at the main fuse box before installation.
- This fixture is intended for installation by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended.
- Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from the box. If anything is missing, please get in touch with the retailer from which the product was purchased.
- Carefully pull house wires down out of the junction box so house wires are easily accessed to connect fixture wires.
- Position mounting bracket (A) so the head of the ground screw and longer end of the threaded pipe (W) is pointing down towards the floor. Place mounting bracket (A) up against the junction box. Align each slot in mounting bracket (A) with each hole in the junction box.
- Thread one junction box screw (B) into each slot in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
- Thread screw collar (E) with swivel (W) onto the end of the threaded pipe attached to mounting bracket (A). CAUTION: Make sure house wires are still easily accessible. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.
- Slip ring (P) onto the end of the center stem in between arms. Thread the finial (L) onto the end of the center stem. Tighten finial (L) to secure ring (P) in place.
- Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture. Select the quantity of stems (M-12, N-6) to achieve that height.
- Carefully push fixture wires through stems (M/N). Thread the stem to the top of the fixture body (O). DO NOT pinch fixture wires between stems.
- Slip threaded ring (F) down over the end of the last stem.
- Position canopy (D) so the outside of the canopy is pointing down towards the fixture. Slip the hole in canopy (D) over the end of the stem.
Wire Connections
- Strip 3/4 of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.
- Carefully push fixture wires up through the hole in swivel (W) attached to screw collar (E) and out the end-threaded pipe inside the junction box. Carefully pull fixture wires so they are easily accessible to connect to house wires.
- Thread the end of the last stem (M) onto swivel (W). DO NOT pinch wires between stem (M) and swivel (W).
- Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire (copper) together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.
- Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire (black) together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire (white) together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C).
