Foreword
Thanks for your purchase of this XProS wireless flash trigger.
This wireless flash trigger is suitable for using Sony cameras to control
Godox flashes with X system e.g. camera flash, outdoor flash, and studio
flash. It can also control Sony original speedlights with the coordination of
X1R-S receiver. Featuring multi- channel triggering, stable signal
transmission, and sensitive reaction, it gives photographers unparalleled
flexibility and control over their strobist setups. The flash trigger applies
to hotshoe-mounted Sony series cameras, as well as the cameras which have PC
sync sockets.
With XProS wireless flash trigger, high speed synchronization is available for
most of camera flashes in the market which support TTL. The max flash
synchronization speed is up to 1/8000s .
: 1/8000s is achievable when the camera has a max camera shutter speed of 1/8000s.
Warning
Do not disassemble. Should repairs become necessary, tis product must be sent
to an authorized maintenance center.
Aways keep this product dry. Do not use in rain or in damp conditions.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use the flash unit in the presence of flammable gas. In certain
circumstance, please pay attention to the relevant warnings.
Do not leave or store the product if the ambient temperature reads over 50°C..
Turn off the flash trigger immediately in the event of malfunction, Observe
precautions when handiing batteries
- Use only batteries listed in this manual. Do not use old and new batteries or batteries of different types at the same time.
- Read and follow all warnings and instructions provided by the manufacturer.
- Batteries cannot be short-circuited or disassembled.
- Do not put batteries into a fire or apply direct heat to them.
- Do not attempt to insert batteries upside down o backwards.
- Batteries are prone to leakage when fully discharged. To avoid damage to the product, be sure to remove batteries when the product is not used for a long time or when batteries run out of charge.
- Should liquid from the batteries come into contact with skin or clothing, rinse immediately with fresh water.

Installing Batteries
As shown in the ilustration, siide the batery compartment i of the flash trigger and insert two A batteries separately. -

Check the battery level indication on the LCD panel 1o see the remaining battery level during the usage.

Using the Flash Trigger

AsaWireless Camera Flash Trigger
Take TT685S as an example:
1.1 Tum off the camera and mount the transmitter on camera hotshoe. Then, power on the flash trigger and the camera.
1.2 Long press the <Zm/CH> button to set channel, group, mode and parameters (refers o the contents of *Setiing the Flash Trigger’).
1.3 Tum on the camera flash, press the < ,> wireless setting button and the < ( ) > wireless icon andslave uniticon will be displayed on the LCD panel. Press the bution to set the same channel to the flash trigger, and press the button o set the same group to the flash trigger (Note: please refer o the relevant instruction manual ‘when seting the camera flashes of ofher models). 1.4 Press the camera shutter to trigger and the status lamp of the flash trigger tums red synchronously. -
As a Wireless Outdoor Flash Trigger
Take ADBOOB as an example:
2.1Tum of the camera and mount the ransitter on camera hofshoe. Then, power on the flash trigger and the camera
2.2Long press the <Zm/CH> button to set channel, group, mode and parameters (refers to the contents of “Setting the Flash Trigger’), 2.3 Power on the outdoor flash and press the < > wireless selting button and the < ( ) > wireless icon wilbe displayed on the LCD panel. Long press thebuton to set the same channel theflash trigger, and short press the < GRICH> button to set the same group to the flash trigger (Note: please refer to the relevant instruction manual when setting the oudoor flashes of other models).
2.4 Press the camera shutter o trigger and the status lamp of the flash trigger tums red synchronously. -
As a Wireless Original Flash Trigger
Take HVL-FASRM as an example:
3.1 Tum off the camera and mount the transmitter on camera hotshoe. Then, power on the flash rigger and the camera.
3.2 Long press the <Zm/CH> button to set channel, group, mode and parameters (refers to the contents of “Setting the Flash Trigger’). 3.3 Attach the original flash to the X1R-S receiver.
Press thebutton on the receiver to set the same channel to the flash trigger, and press the button to set the same group to the flash trigger (Note: please refer to the relevant instruction manual when setting the original camera flashes),
3.4 Press the camera shutter to trigger. And the.
status lamp of the camera flash and the flash trigger both turn red synchronously
Nota: Sony oriinal speedighs shall be set o TTL mode regardless of XProS’s mode. -
As a Wireless Studio Flash Trigger
Take GS400I as an example: 4.4 Tum offthe camera and mount the transmiter on camera hotshoe. Then, power on the flash rigger and the camera.
Long press the <Zm/CH> button (o set channel, group, mode and paramelers (refers 1othe contents of *Setting the Flash Trigger’).
4.3 Connect the studio flash to power source and power it on. Synchronausly press down thebutton and <§1/S2>button and the < (4) > wireless icon will be displayed on the LGD panel. Long press the buton o 56t the same channel 1o the flash trigger, and short press the < GRICH > button to set the same group to the flash trigger (Note: please refer o the relevant instruction manual when seting the studio lashes of other models).
Press the camera shutter o trigger. And the status lamp of the camera flash and the flash rigger both turn red synchronously.

As a Wireless Shutter Release Trigger
Operaion method

Operation method:

- Power Switch
Side the Power Switch to ON, and the device is on and status indicator lamp will not reveal
Note : In order to avoid power consumption, turn off the transmitter when not n use.
Automatically Enter Power Saving Mode
- The system will automatically enter standby mode after stop operating the transmitter over 90 seconds. And the displays on the LCD panel disappear now.
- Press any button to wake up. If the flash trigger is attached to the hot shoe of Sony camera, half press the camera shutter can also wake the system up.

Setting the Flash Trigger
- Power Switch of AF Assist Beam
Slide the AF assist beam switch to ON: the red AF-assist lamp will light when it’s hard to focus while automatically off when getting correct focus.
Note : XProS’s AF-assist lamp will not light when not being attached to camera. - When using on Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera (e.g. ILCE6000L and a7RIl), XProS’s AF-assist lamp will not light.
- When using on DSLR Camera (e.g. a99 and a77II) , XProS’s AF-assist lamp will automatically light.
Channel Setting
- Long press the <Zm/CH> button and the channel value will be chosen.
- Turn the select dial to choose the appropriate channel. Press the
button again to confirm the setting. - This flash trigger contains 32 channels which can be changed from 1 to 32. Set the transmitter and the receiver to the same channel before usage.
- Wireless ID Settings
Change the wireless channels and wireless ID to avoid interference for it can only be riggered after the wireless IDs and channels of the master unit and the slave unit are.

Short press the
button, and the mode of the current group will change. -
Set the groups to five groups (A-E)
2.1 When displaying multiple groups, press thebutton to switch the multi-group mode to MULTI mode. Press the group selection button can set the MULTI mode to ON or OFF. 2.2 When displaying multiple groups, press the group selection button or button in one-group mode, and A, B and C group’s mode will be changed by the order of TTL/M/– while D and E group will be changed in or M/– mode. -
When setting the group to 16 groups (0-F), there is only manual mode M.

Long press the
button for 2 seconds until “LOCKED?” is displayed on the bottom of the LCD panel, which means the screen is locked and no parameters can be set. Long press the button again to unlock.

Magnification Function
‘Switch between muli-group and one-group mode: choose a group in mulli-group mode and press thebutton to magnify it to one-group mode. Then, press the bution to back to mult-group. -
Output Value Settings
1. Multigroup displays in the M mode
1.1 Pressthe group buton to hoose the group, tu the seect dial, and the power output vlue willchange from Minto 1111 0.3 or 0.1 top incremerts. Press thebutton o confim the seing 1.2 Press button to choose all groups’ power output value, turn the select il and al groups’ power output value il change from Wi to /1 in 0.3 or 0.1 stop incremers. Pross button again to confim the seting 2\. One-group displays inthe M mode Turn the seect dial and the group’s power output vlue will change from Min o 1/1 n0.3 0 0.1 stop increments. Notes Min. refers to the minimum value thatcan be set in M or Mul made. The minimum value can be Setto 11128, 1/128(0.1), 11258 or 1/256(0.1) according o C.Fr-STEP. For mostof camera flashes, the minimum output value s 1/128 or 1/125(0.1) and cannot b sat o 11256 or 1256(0.1). However, the. Value can change to 11256 or 1256(0.1) when using in combination with Godox strong powr flashos.e. gADBOOPO, etc -
Flash Exposure Compensation Settings
1. Multigroup displays in the TTL mode
1.1 Press the group button to choose the group, turn the select dial, and the FEC value wil change from -3 10 ~3 in 0.3 stop increments. Press thebution to confirm the setting
1.2 Pressbutton to choose all groups’ FEC value, tum the select dial, and all groups’ FEC value will change from -3 to =3 in 0.3 stop increments. Press. button again to confirm the setting 2\. One-group displays in the TTL mode Tum the select dial and the group’s power output value will change from -3 to ~3 in 0.3 stop increments. Multi Flash Settings (Output Value, Times and Frequency)
1. In the multi flash (TTL and M icon are not displayed).
2. The three lines are separately displayed as power output value, Times(flash times) and Hz (flash frequency).
3. Tur the Select Dial to change the power output value from Min. to 1/4 in integer stops.
4. Short press the Times button can change flash times.
Tur the select dial to change the setting value. 5. Shortpress the THz button can change flash frequency. Turn the select dial to change the setting value.
6. Uniil all the amounts are set. Or during any value setting, short press thebutton to exitthe setting status. No values wil blink.
7. Inthe mult flash setting submenu, short press thebution to retur to main menu when no values are blinking,
Note: As flash tmes are rostricted by flash output value and flash raquency, the flash imes cannot supass the upper value that permied by the system. The times that transported o th recolver end are areal flash time, which s also relate 0 the camera’s shuter seting. -
Modelmg Lamp Settings
1. When displaying multiple groups, press thebutton to control the ON/OFF of the modeling lamp.
2. Press the group button to choose the group when displaying multple groups or when displaying one- group, press thebutton to control the.
ONIOFF of the modeling lamp (note: The models that can use one-group to ONIOFF the modeling lamp are as follows: GSlI, SKIl, QSlI, QDII, DEIL, DPII series, etc. The outdoor flash AD200 and ADB0D can use this function after upgrade. The new arrivals with modeling lamps can also use this function.). -
ZOOM Value Settings
Short press the <Zm/CH> button and the ZOOM value willbe displayed on the LCD panel. Choose the group and tum the sefect dial, and the ZOOM value will change from AUTO/24 to 200. Ghoose the desired value and press the <Zm/CH> buton again to back to the main menu.
Note: Th flash’s ZOOM should be set to Auto () mode before esponcing. -
Shutler Sync Settings
1. High-speed sync: press thebutton and is displayed on the LCD panel. Press the MENU or shortcut Fn on Sony camera to enter Flash Mode and choose Fill-flash . Then, set the camera shutter.
2. Second-curtain sync: press the MENU or shortcut Fn on Sony camera to enter Flash Mode and choose REAR flash . Then, set the camera shutter. -

Sync Socket Settings
1. Press thebutton to enter C.Fn SYNC and press the button to choose IN or OUT.
Press thebutton again to back to the main menu.
1.1 When choosing IN, this syne socket will enable OUT XProS to trigger flash.
1.2 When choosing OUT, this sync socket will send trigger signals to trigger other remote control and flash. -
TCM Function
TCM transform function is a particular out a ont a function that owned by Godox: TTL flash value transform into power output value in M mode.
1.1 Set the flash trigger to TTL mode and attach it to the camera. Press the shutter for shooting.1.2 Long press thebutton, and the flash value in TTL mode will transform into power output value in M mode (The displayed minimum value is the set Min. value).
1.3 Please refer to the C.Fn setting custom functions to see the flash models which are compatible with TCM functions.
Note : Please choose the relevant models in TCM function in C.Fn custom settings according to your own flash. -
SHOOT Function Settings
Press thebutton to enter C.Fn SHOOT.
Press thebutton to choose one-shool or multi- shoots, and press the button again to back to the main menu. One-shoot: When shooting, choose one-shoot. In the M and Mutti mode, the master unit oy sends riggering signals to the slave unit, which is suitable for one person photography for the advantage of power saving **Multi-shoots** : When shooting, choose multi-shools, and the master unitwill send parameters and triggering signals to the slave unit, which is suitable for mult person photography. However, this function Gonsumes power quickly. **APP** : Only send triggering signal when camera is shooling (control the flash’s parameters by smartphone APP). -

Restore Factory Settings
Synchronously press the two function button n the middle, and the restore factory setings are fnished unti the “RESET” i displayed on the LCD pan. -
Firmware Upgrade
“This flash trigger supports firmware uprads through the Type-CUSB port. Updats information will be released on our official website.
USB connection line is not included in this product.As the USB port is a
‘Type-C USB socket, please use Type-C USB connection line.
As the finware upgrade needs the support of Godox G2 software, please download
and install the *Godox G2 firmware upgrade software” before upgrading. Then,
choose the related firmware fIle.
Attention
- As the products needs to do firmware upgrade, please refer to instruction manual of the newest electric version as final.
1. Unable to trigger flash or camera shutter. Make sure batteries are installed correctly and Power Switch s tuned on. Check if the transitter and the receiver are set to the same channe, if the hotshoe mount or connection cable s well connected, or if the flash triggers are set 1o the correct mode,
2. Camera shoots but does not focus. Check if the focus mode of the camera or lens.is set 1o MF. If 5o, set it o AF.
3. Signal disturbance or shooting interference. Change a different channel on the device.
The Reason & Solution of Not Triggering in Godox 2.4G Wireless
-
Disturbed by the 2.4G signal in outer environment (e.g. wireless basestation, 2.4G wifi router, Bluetooth, etc.)
→ To adjust the channel CH setting on the flash trigger (add 10+ channels) and use the channel which is not disturbed. Or tum off the other 2.4G equipment in working. -
Please make sure that whether th flash has finished its recycle or caught up with the continuous shooting speed or not(the flash ready indicator is.
lighten) and the flash is not under the state of over-heat protection or other abnormal situation.
→ Please downgrade the flash power output. I the fiash is in TTL mode, please try to change it to M mode(a preflash is needed in TTL mode). -
Whether the distance between the flash trigger and the flash is too close or not
→ Please tum on the “close distance wireless mode” on the flash trigger (< 0.5m):
→ Please set the C.Fn-DIST to 0-30m. -
Whether the flash trigger and the receiver end equipment are in the low battery states or not
→Please replace the battery(the flash trigger is recommended to use 1.5V disposable alkaline battery).
Caring for Flash Trigger
- Avoid sudden drops. The device may fai to work after strong shocks, impacts, or excess stress
- Keep dry. The product isn’t water-proof. Malfunction, rust, and corrosion may oceur ‘and o beyond repair if soaked in water or exposed to high humidity.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes. Condensation happens if sudden temperature changes such as the circumstance when taking the transceiver out of a building with higher temperature to outside in winter. Please put the transceiver in a handbag or plastic bag beforehand.
- Keep away from strong magnetic field. The strong static or magnetic field produced by devices such as radio transmitters leads to malfunction.
