Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Placement
Place the complete unit in front of the garage door, with the round bar facing the door. It is recommended to maintain a minimum distance of 5mm and a maximum distance of 30mm between the Garage Guard and the garage door. -
Step 2: Removing the Main Body
Remove the main body from the base plate, being careful not to move the base. -
Step 3: Ensuring Door Clearance
Ensure that the garage door swings clear of the padlock lug. Use the base plate to mark through the 4 countersunk fixing holes, ensuring the marks are visible. -
Step 4: Drilling Holes
Using a 12mm masonry drill bit, drill the marked holes to a depth of 75mm and clean the dust from the holes. -
Step 5: Inserting Ground Bolts
Insert the ground bolts into the drilled holes and then remove the 4 bolts, leaving the sleeves inserted in the concrete floor. -
Step 6: Placing Anchor Plate
Place the anchor plate on top to line up with the inserted floor sleeves and insert the countersunk bolts through the anchor plate into the floor sleeves. -
Step 7: Tightening Anchor Bolts
Tighten the 4 anchor bolts to a torque of 15nm. Please tighten it evenly.
Note:
If the base plate does not fit under the garage door, it can be recessed 5mm
into the concrete. If you have blocks or tarmac outside the garage, it is
recommended to excavate and put down a concrete pad. Your Garage Guard should
be fitted to a solid concrete surface with a minimum thickness of 100mm .

Your Garage Guard should be fitted to a solid concrete surface. We recommend a
minimum of 100mm thickness.
FIXING INSTRUCTIONS

- Place the complete unit in front of the garage door, with the round bar facing the door.

Now remove the main body from the base plate being careful not to move the base. -
STEP 3
- Ensure the garage door swings clear of the padlock lug.
