Overview

The dash camera features a compact design with a display screen, control buttons, and various ports for connectivity. Installation

  1. Step 1: Attach the stand to the dash camera by aligning the connectors and sliding the stand until it clicks. To remove the camera from the stand, push the latch upward and take it out.
  2. Step 2: Clean the front windshield and attach the electrostatic sticker to it.
  3. Step 3: Peel off the 3M adhesive on the stand and attach the stand onto the electrostatic sticker. Mount the camera close to the rear mirror for optimal positioning
  4. Step 4: Loosen the stand adjustment screw to adjust the angle of the dash camera for the best view.
  5. Step 5: Connect the car charger’s USB-C connector to the USB-C port on the stand, and connect the other end to the vehicle’s 12V socket (cigarette lighter). Route the cable down the side of the windshield for a clean install.
  6. Step 6: Attach the AV out connector of the rear camera to the AV In port of the dash camera. Route the black cable of the rear camera through the body of your vehicle to the rear of it.
  7. Step 7: Mount the Rear Camera to the rear of the vehicle.
  8. Step 8: Insert the memory card into the dash camera and format it.
  9. Step 9: Start the engine of your vehicle to check whether the dash camera is installed correctly and works well.

App Installation

Note: The app installation is optional and not required for basic operation of the dash camera.

  • Option 1: Search for the RoadCam app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), then download and install it into your smartphone.
  • Option 2: Scan the provided QR code to download and install the app.

Ensure that your smartphone is connected to the Wi-Fi network T90X***** with the password 12345678._

Open the RoadCam app and tap the connect button to establish a connection with the dash camera. Once connected, you can access various settings and control options through the app.

INSTALLATION

  • Step 1: Attach the stand to the dash camera. Align the connectors on the Stand with the mating part on the Camera, the slide the stand into the camera until you hear it click.

Tip: To remove the camera from the stand, push the Latch on the stand upward and take it out.

  • Step 2: Clean the front windshield and attach the electrostatic sticker to it.

  • Step 3: Peel off the 3M Adhesive on the stand and attach the stand onto the Electrostatic Sticker.

Tip: It’s recommended to mount the camera in a position that is close to the rear mirror.

  • Step 4: Loosen the stand adjustment screw to adjust the angle of the dash camera for the best view.

  • Step 5: Connect the USB-C connector of the car charger to the USB-C port on the stand and connect another end to the vehicle’s 12V socket (cigarette lighter).

Note:
For a clean install, route the cable down the side of the windshield.

  • Step 6: Attach the AV out connector of the rear camera to the “AV In” port of the dash camera, then route the black cable of the rear camera through the body of your vehicle to the rear of it.
  • Step 7: Mount the Rear Camera to the rear of the vehicle.

  • Step 8: Insert the memory card into the dash camera and format it.

  • Step 9: Start the engine of your vehicle to check whether the dash camera is installed correctly and works well.

APP INSTALLATION

Option 1:
Search for the “RoadCam” app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), then download and install it into your smart phone.

Wi-Fi Connection

  • Step 1:
    Go to “Settings à Wi-Fi” App to turn on the camera’s Wi-Fi or when the camera is not recording, long press “ ” to directly turn on the camera’s Wi-Fi.

  • Step 2:
    Go to the Wi-Fi setting of your smart phone, then connect to the Wi-Fi network “T90X_ ” and input the password “12345678”.

  • Step 3:
    On the RoadCam App and tap “ ” to connect the camera with the App.

  • Step 4:
    After a successful connection, tap “ ” again to enter the recording interface.

  • Tip: To turn off the Wi-Fi, press   to get back to the recording interface.

OPERATION

Video Mode
After the dash camera is powered on, it will enter the video mode by default. A flashing red dot on the top left corner indicates that the camera is recording.

Check the videos and photos
When the camera is not recording a video, press to check all the video and photos.

  • Front standard video: Includes the video recorded by the front camera.

  • Front locked video: Includes the locked videos recorded by the front camera when there is a collision during driving or parking and the videos that are manually locked by pressing when the camera is recording.

  • Front photo: Includes the photos taken by the rear camera.
    Rear standard videos recorded by the rear camera.

  • Rear locked video: Includes the locked videos recorded by the rear camera when there is a collision during driving or parking and the videos that are manually locked by pressing when the camera is recording.

  • Rear photo: Includes the photos taken by the rear camera.

    • Press to move to the next option.

How to play and delete a file?

  • Step 1: Press to enter the selected folder.

  • Tip: Long press to bring up the window of deleting this file.

File Transfer

Option 1:
Remove the card from the camera, then connect it to your computer via a card reader (not included) to make a file transfer.

Option 2:
Directly connect the camera to your computer via a micro-USB cable, then go to “Settings  USB Mode” to set it as USB storage. Then check, copy and delete the files.
Connect the camera with a smart phone via Wi-Fi, then download files to your phone in the RoadCam App.

Note: The USB-C port on the stand is only for powering the camera, while the mini-USB port on the camera is for data transfer.

When the camera is not recording a video, press   to check the detailed settings.

Resolution
Change the resolution of the front camera. Options include 4K@30fps, 2.5K@30fps and 1080P@30fps. (The resolution of the rear camera is 1080P only.)

Video Length
Change the recording time of each video. The recording time is set to be 1 minute by default. You can choose from 1 min, 3 mins. and 5 mins.

Record Audio
Turn on or turn off the audio when recording videos.

WDR
Wide Dynamic Range. Setting it to “ON” implies that the camera will automatically handle bright and dark environments to improve the recording quality.

G-sensor
Set the different G-sensor sensitivity of collision detection when driving. You can select from Low, Medium, High and OFF as needed. If you select High(low), the camera will automatically lock the current video when your car encounters a minor (severe) collision. A flashing yellow dot on the upper left corner will be displayed. indicating the camera is locking the current video. This video will not be overwritten.

Parking Guard
If you turn this function on, the camera will record a video when your car encounters a collision during parking.

Time-Lapse
Set the frame rate of the video. After enabling this option, every 30 minutes of videos will be compressed to 1 minute and then be saved in the memory card.

Note:
An extra hardwire kit (not included) is required for using parking guard and time-lapse functions.

Screen Saver
Set the time to enter sleep mode after a certain period of inactivity. Options include “OFF, 1 min. and 3 mins.”

Auto Power Off
Set the time to automatically power off the camera when it’s not recording any video. Options are “OFF. 1 min. and 3 mins”.

Tap Sound
Turn on or turn off the sound when pressing the buttons.

Speaker Volume
Set the volume of the speaker for the camera. You can choose from “Mute, Low, Medium and High”.

Boot Sound
Turn on or turn off the sound when the camera is powered on and powered off.

Language
Set the language of the dash camera.

Date/Time

Set the date and time of the dash camera along with the time format. Press to select, then press to confirm and move to the next option.

Timestamp
Show or hide the date and time watermark on the recorded videos and captured photos.

Frequency
Set the refresh rate between 50HZ and 60HZ.

Reverse Rearview
Turn on or turn off the mirroring function of the view from the rear camera. If you enable it. the left and right of the view would be reversed.
Tip: The view of the saved video is not mirrored.

License Plate
Enter your vehicle license to be displayed on the lower-right corner of the touchscreen.

Time Zone
Set the time zone of your location.

Speed unit
Set the unit of the speed from KM/H and MPH. The speed will be only displayed on the screen after you install the GPS receiver.

Wi-Fi App
Check the QR code to download and install the App. Check the dash camera’s Wi- Fi name (SSIDI and password).

USB Mode
Set the USB mode when you connect the dash camera to a PC. Select USB storage to transfer files between the camera and your PC, while select Charge to charge the camera only.

Format
Tap to bring up the pop-up window to format the memory card.

Default
Tap to bring up the pop-up window to restore the dash camera to the factory settings.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Q1. The memory card can’t be read or there is an error.
    • Make sure to install the memory card correctly.
    • Install the memory card into a card reader, then connect it to the computer to format it into FAT32.
    • Go to Settings à Format to format the memory card.
    • Try another Class 10 memory card with a well-known brand, such as SanDisk, Kingston, etc.
  • Q2. There is a prompt stating power is depleted.
    • A icon indicates the camera’s charging status. If this icon is not displayed:
    • Please check if the Car Charger is properly connected to the Cigarette Lighter Receptacle of the vehicle.
    • Please replace the Car Charger.
  • Q3. The camera can’t record videos or the latest video is overwritten.
    • Please check if the memory card is full of the locked video. If yes. please delete the unnecessary videos or format the memory card.
    • Go to Settings à G-sensor to set it to Low or Medium.
    • Replace another memory card.
  • Q4. The camera is restarted automatically.
    • Check if the USB cable is properly connected.
    • Remove the memory card to see whether it’s caused by it.
  • Q5. A pause or frame skipping occurs when playing the videos or photos.
    • Try another Class 10 memory card with a well-known brand and format it.
    • Try to use the media player that can decode H.264 and H.265 compressed videos.

Caution
Risk of explosion is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions
