Firmware Upgrade**
E2 Pro Native 1080P FHD Projector
To achieve the peak performance of your ETOE projector, it is highly recommended to keep its firmware up to date all the time.
Check the Necessity of Firmware Upgrade
- Turn on the projector and go to HomePage>Settings>About;
- Check the version number on “System Version”;
- The newest firmware version begins with V.2.9.20.
- If the version is not the same as the newest one, it is recommended to update to the newest one.
How to upgrade the firmware?

Please download the firmware (ETOE E2 Pro Firmware Upgrade.rar) and unzip it.
You will get a software named “MstarUpgrade”. Or just download the bin file directly, which might take a longer download time. -
Copy “MstarUpgrade” to the root file of your USB flash drive.
Note
Do not change the firmware’s file name. If the file name is changed, the firmware update will not start. -
Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port of the projector.
Before starting the update
Disconnect the power cord from the projector and check that all of the indicators on the projector are off. -
Plug in the power cord of the projector.

Long press the power button on top of the projector until the upgrade progress bar (with blue background) appears on the screen.

Wait till the upgrade is done, and the projection will restart automatically.
⚠ Note
Do not disconnect the power cord from the projector while the firmware is updating. Ifthe power is disconnected, the projector may not start correctly. -
Check if the software version has been upgraded successfully:
a. Click on the menu of the projector with the remote;
b. Click on “Setting”, and then choose “About”;c. Make sure that the number shown on “System Version” has been upgraded to the new version number.
What’s new on ETOE E2 Pro firmware (Newest Version: V2.9.20)

Fix the “no signal” issue that appears on the Android TV interface. (No signal issue only happens on some projectors with firmware V.2.6.18.)

The remote control is able to control the Android TV interface while in the IR mode when the indicator is red. (Update for version V.2.6.18)

The original sound will be louder and “Sound Mode” added to the second menu so that you can get a louder sound by adjusting the sound equalizer on “Personal.”
While in the projector system, as the remote indicator turns red, long pressing the focus button (11) to get the on-screen menu:
Standard
Music
Movie
Personal
If you want a louder sound when watching movies, please try to get personalized EQ on the “Personal” mode.
120Hz (emphasize low sounds)
500Hz (emphasize low sounds)
1.5KHz (bring vocals out)
5KHz (bring vocals out)
10KHz -
When the remote control is on the red indicator on the projector system, long press the focus button on the remote control to launch the projector’s on-screen settings menu.
The new firmware allows the adjustment of the image:
Brightness
Saturation
Sharpness
Hue -
The Android TV button will disappear on the projector system. Click the switch button (12) to go to the Android TV system when needed.
Troubleshooting

If your original remote loses or broke accidentally by a puppy.
Contact ETOE support for a replacement. We will send you a new remote. -
The remote control can’t control the projector after the upgrade.
Make sure that the indicator of the remote turns red, and you will be able to control the projector. You will be on the language choosing page. Use the remote control navigator button (4) to select your language. Then press the navigator right button and select “Complete” to enter the next page. -
If you still get “no signal” on the screen:
1)Please go to the projector system: Homepage>Settings>about to check if the version of the firmware has been upgraded to the newest version. If the system does not upgrade to the newest one, please follow the upgrade instruction step by step.
2)Click on the switch button(12) on the remote control to go to the Android TV system;
