SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read this operation instruction carefully before use, and keep it for future reference. Producer does not take responsibility for damages or injuries caused by inappropriate handling / use / installation of the product.

  1. Make sure to perform connections when the vehicle engine is turned off.
  2. Protect this device from water, humidity and other liquids. Avoid using/storing it in extreme temperatures. Do not  expose this product to direct sunlight, heat sources, or usenear strong magnetic fields. Do not handle this appliance with wet hands.
  3. It is suggested that all connections and mounting should be carried out by qualified personnel.
  4. Make sure all the connections are executed in a proper manner. Reversed connection will cause short circuit and damage.
  5. Keep away from flammable materials!
  6. Do not attempt to repair this appliance yourself. In case of damage, contact authorized service point for check-up/repair.
  7. Any modifications on the vehicle in order to mount this device or any other components have to be performed in a way that do not threaten security nor stability of the vehicle.
  8. It is forbidden to mount any components near air bags!
  9. In case of any doubts concerning place of installation, contact your vehicle’s dealer. Before drilling the holes in vehicle’s body, make sure it will not damage any electrical cables, brake system, fuel tank etc. During installation keep in mind, that any loose parts may pose danger in case of an accident – make sure to install every piece properly to ensure safety

Safe driving

Keep in mind that responsibility for safety while operating a vehicle is solely on the driver of the vehicle. The camera is intended as a supplement tool and CANNOT be considered as a device dismissing the driver from cautious vehicle operation nor be used as a substitute for rear view mirror in the vehicle. It is intended to assist in safe driving and to provide a broader rear view while the vehicle is in reverse. The device monitors area behind the vehicle and allows for keeping safe distance from obstacles, but does NOT allow for not exercising special caution while driving! The producer of this device does not claim liability for any misuse of the product nor damages or accidents resulting from failure to observe these precautions or safety instructions. Instructions and safety measures

  1. The driver should bring the vehicle to a stop once the constant sound signal is being heard. The parking sensors do not support braking system and will NOT automatically stop the vehicle once a certain distance from obstacle has been reached.
  2. Pay special care when reversing – slow down to minimum to avoid hitting the obstacle.
  3. Clean the sensors regularly. Remove ice, snow, dirt, dust, mud etc. to ensure proper operation. Any dirt on the sensor decrease its sensitivity by about 20%. In case of a sensor being covered in ice, the system will not work properly!
  4. Avoid flattening, cutting, damaging the insulation, extending the cables connecting the sensors to the control unit – it may negatively affect their operation.
  5. The system operates in an optimum way when the vehicle moves with speed of around 5 km/h.

MOUNTING

Plate installation

  1. Remove license plate and license plate frame from the rear of the vehicle.
  2. Select and mark proper drilling spots (behind license plate, where the camera’s and sensors’ cables will be routed). Before drilling the holes in vehicle’s body, make sure to select location in which you will not damage any electrical cables, brake system, fuel tank etc. Also, before drilling, determine the best way to run the cables through the vehicle. Ensure the cables does not interfere with any safety equipment nor reduce safety of the vehicle.
  3. Drill the holes (recommended width of about 10 mm diameter) behind the license plate frame, right where the cables will be routed.
  4. After drilling, remove any burs or sharp edges so you do not damage the cable when pulling it through.
  5. Mount the sensors in the license plate frame.
  6. Carefully route the device’s cables through the hole.
  7. Assemble the license plate frame to the license plate bore on the vehicle with suitable screws. Make sure to assemble the frame so the camera is at the top of the frame.
  8. Place your license plate into the frame.
Note : It is recommended to implement additional safety measures to secure the license plate in place (eg. by using screws) to avoid accidental sliding out of the plate.

Connection

Connection

  1. Connect AV cable plug (3) into AV input (2) of your vehicle’s monitor (1). Connect AV cable plug (6) to the AV signal output (7) of the camera.
  2. Connect buzzer (16) to socket on the control unit (18) marked as DISP.
  3. Connect sensors (17) to appropriate sockets on the control unit (18) – (A / B and C / D).
  4. Once the signal connection is established, connect to power. Make a permanent connection using a crimp connector or by soldering etc.
  5.  CONTROL UNIT’S POWER: Connect control unit’s power cable plug (15) to appropriate socket on the control unit (18) – PWR. Then, connect black cable (14) to GND and the red cable (13) to power supply.
  6. CAMERA’S POWER SUPPLY: insert camera’s power cable plug (10) into camera’s power input (9). Next connect the black wire (12) to GND. Connect red cable (11) to one of the power supply cables of the AV cable (5), and the other power supply cable of the AV cable (4) to reverse light.

IMPORTANT:

  1. when connecting the sensors to the control unit, keep in mind that sensor that will be located on the left side of the vehicle must be connected to socket marked as A or B; while sensor on the right side of the vehicle must be connected to socket marked as C or D. Such way of connection guarantees proper display of obstacle’s position on the screen.
  2. If the sensors have been connected properly, the buzzer will issue a short sound signal, which means proper operation.

Note: when in condition as presented below, sensors’ operation will be distorted.
