My PowerFresh® Steam Mop Hard Floor Steam Cleaner is Leaving too Much Water | Support

If your machine is leaving too much water, follow these steps to resolve:

• The steam mop should remain moving while turned on

  • If it sits in the same spot for too long steam builds up

• Excess water may be caused by a high steam setting

  • Try selecting a lower setting

• Inspect the water tank and cap for cracks or damage

  • If damaged, the tank will need to be replaced > Go to Parts & Supplies

• Fill the tank with water

• Test the x-valve by pushing on it over the sink

  • Water should release
  • If not, a new cap assembly is needed > Go to Parts & Supplies

• Check that the rubber gasket at the tip of the cap is still attached

• Check tank receiver for any cracks or damage

  • If damaged, machine will need to be replaced

• Seat water tank correctly so there are no gaps between the tank and machine
