If your machine is leaving too much water, follow these steps to resolve:

The steam mop should remain moving while turned on
- If it sits in the same spot for too long steam builds up

Excess water may be caused by a high steam setting
- Try selecting a lower setting

Inspect the water tank and cap for cracks or damage
- If damaged, the tank will need to be replaced > Go to Parts & Supplies

Fill the tank with water

Test the x-valve by pushing on it over the sink
- Water should release
- If not, a new cap assembly is needed > Go to Parts & Supplies

Check that the rubber gasket at the tip of the cap is still attached

Check tank receiver for any cracks or damage
- If damaged, machine will need to be replaced

Seat water tank correctly so there are no gaps between the tank and machine
