Function and features

These Nakayama sewage pumps are the advanced and perfect sewage drainages at present time. Compared with traditional sewage submersible pumps, SP series is redesigned the passage of flow and enjoys wider high-efficiency areas, can be used whole head without overloading, and can safely run under large flow rate with high efficiency, anti-clogging impeller with big passage designed can transfer sewage with big suspend solid and long fiber; adopted vortex suction structure and particular casting technique, so with the better draining and anti-corrosiveness performance; widely used for transferring sewage in hotel, cloaca, construction industry, agriculture, family, etc. It can be automatically turned on-off if it is assembled with a float switch. Thermal protector inside pump can automatically shut off the pump when overheating and overloading, to guarantee safe and reliable operation under hard conditions.

Condition of usage

  1. Maximum operating depth 5m below water lever
  2. Continuous duty when fluid temperature: under +40 °C
  3. Value of PH in fluid: 4-10
  4. Maximum kinematic viscosity: 7×10⁻7 ~ 23×10 ⁻6 m2/s
  5. Maximum density: 1.2 x 103 kg/m3

Installation and warnings

  1. Before installation, you should inspect the pump for broken parts. Check that the cable and plug are in good condition.
  2. Check that the power source is compatible with the pump and that the pump is grounded to be secure.
  3. Before installing, check that the cable is not damaged and if so contact an authorized service agent to replace it.
  4. Use a ring around the outlet pipe and outlet to tighten it. Attach a rope to the pump’s handle so you can move the pump up and down.
  5. Be careful not to hit or push the cable. The cable should not be used for raising and lowering the pump. Do not pull the cord when the pump is running so it will not break.
  6. The power source to which you will connect the pump should be fitted with a short circuit breaker and the voltage should be controlled within ± 15% of the rated voltage to prevent motor damage.
  7. Do not touch or move the pump until it is safely unplugged.
  8. Make sure the cable is plugged in to the power outlet.
  9. Make sure that the cord and socket are away from heat, oils and sharp objects.

Maintenance

  1. Check the cable frequently and change it if it is damaged.
  2. After 2000 hours of operation the following steps should be performed by an authorized service provider:
    • Disconnect the pump: check for wearable spare parts, e.g. bearings, seals, flanges etc. Change the spare parts that need replacing.
    • Oil change: Remove the oil plug and apply oil # 10 to approximately 70% -80% of the chamber capacity.
    • Air Test: After servicing, the pump should be air tested to check that the pump is holding 0.2Mpa pressure and that there are no leaks.
  3. Do not immerse the pump in water if it has not been used for long enough. You should remove the pump from the water and clean and perform the anti-rust process.

Troubleshooting

Malfunction Description Possible Cause Solution

The pump does not

start

| 1.  Low voltage

2.  Blocked impeller

3.  Burnt coils

4.  Damaged capacitor

5.  Incomplete phase (3-phase)

6.  High resistance to cable

| 1.  Adjust the voltage

2.  Remove obstacles

3.  Repair

4.  Replace it

5.  Check the cable and socket

6.  Use appropriate cable (points 3 and 4 should be performed by an authorized technician)

The pump pumps out

reduced water

| 1.  High exhaust height

2.  Filter blocked

3.  Worn impeller

4.  High immersion depth

5.  Wrong rotation (3 phase)

| 1.  Reduce height

2.  Clean the filter

3.  Replace the impeller

4.  Adjust the depth to 0.5m

5.  Switch to single phase.

The pump stops abruptly| 1.  Turn on the short circuit

switch

2.  Impeller blocked

3.  Burnt coils

| 1.  Check the power source and change the fuse.

2.  Disconnect pump and re- move obstructions

3.  Repair (contact authorized
