Safety Instructions

General Precautions

  • Avoid strong vibration, shock or extrusion, protect the device from sun and rain during transportation.
  • The device should be stored in a clean, cool and dry room, avoid direct sunlight and contact with corrosive substances.
  • Do not let children or pets bite into the device or accessories, as this may cause damage or failure of the device.
  • The device and accessories contain small parts.
  • Please keep the device and accessories out of the reach of small children.
  • Children may accidentally swallow small parts and choke on them.
  • Please store the device and accessories carefully.
  • Do not drop the device and accessories or subject them to strong impact to avoid damaging them, which may cause the device to fail.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, detergents or the like to clean the equipment and accessories. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the equipment and accessories.
  • Do not disassemble or rebuild the device and accessories, as this will void the warranty for the device and accessories.

Precautions for Batteries

  • The device should not be exposed to surrounding equipment and battery temperature or heating devices such as sunlight, heaters, microwave ovens, stoves or water heaters, etc. The overheating of the battery may cause an explosion.
  • If the battery leaks, avoid contact of skin or eyes with the leaking liquid. In case of accidental contact, please rinse with clean water immediately and go to hospital for medical treatment.
  • If a battery shows discoloration, deformation, abnormal heating and other abnormalities during use, charging or preservation process, please stop using it and replace it with a new battery.
  • Always dispose of the battery according to the regional disposal regulations and do not throw it in the household waste.

Getting Started

Operation Modes
This active capacitive stylus supports three operation modes.

  • Working mode: When the tip of a stylus is pressed against a screen and pressure keeps changing, the stylus is in working mode.
  • Sleep mode: When pressure doesn’t change for 5 minutes later, the stylus will be in sleep mode.
  • Hover mode: When the tip is less than 5mm away from a screen, a cursor shows on the screen, then the stylus wakes up from sleep mode and ready for use.

Replacing the battery
Counterclockwise unscrew the cap, replace the qualified Alkaline AAAA 1.5V battery.
Please note the possition of anode and cathode.

Replacing the refill

Removing the refill
Grasp the refill with the refill holder and pull it out. A replacement refill is included in the scope of delivery.

Inserting the refill
Insert the new refill, pressing lightly to allow the refill to stick.

Care and Maintenance

Use only dry cloths for cleaning. The product is not waterproof.
Do not clean with water. Do not open the unit and have it repaired only by a specialist.

4smarts GmbH accepts no liability or warranty for damage resulting from improper installation, assembly, and improper use of the product or failure to observe the operating instructions and/or the safety instructions.

Disposal Notification
Electrical and electronic devices as well as batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic equipment as well as batteries at the end of their service life to the public collection points set up for this purpose or to the point of sale.
