SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to observe the following warnings and instructions could result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
  • WARNING: When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions, including the following, should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, personal injury and property damage.

The intended use of the appliance is described in this manual. Using any accessories or attachments, or performing any operations with this appliance other than those recommended in this manual may involve a risk of personal injury.

  1. The connection cable must be connected to an outlet fitted with a protective pin with the parameters as indicated in the manual.
  2. Care should be taken not to connect too many appliances to one circuit.
  3. Always unplug the appliance from the mains by pulling on the plug and not on the power cord.
  4. This equipment may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical and mental capabilities and lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment if supervision or instruction is provided on how to use the equipment safely so that the associated risks are understood. Children should not play with the equipment. Unsupervised children should not carry out cleaning or maintenance of the equipment.
  5. The equipment should be kept away from children when it is plugged in or when it is cooling down.
  6. The appliance must not be left unattended when the plug is connected to the power supply.
  7. Beware of hot steam escaping from the appliance during operation. Never aim the steam jet directly at electrical appliances or appliances with electrical components (TV, electric cooker, etc.).
  8. Never direct the steam jet towards other people. Steam is hot and can cause burns.
  9. NOTE : always wear suitable footwear when using the appliance. Do not wear slippers or shoes with open toes.
  10. Do not use if the micro fibre cleaning pad is not properly installed.
  11. If the circuit breaker trips while using the steam function, stop using the product immediately, unplug it and contact the manufacturer’s service department. (Caution for risk of electric shock).
  12. Do not use outdoors.
  13. Do not place the appliance near heat sources.
  14. Do not use the appliance in an enclosed space filled with fumes from oil-based paint thinner, certain moth-proofing substances, combustible dust or other explosive or toxic fumes.
  15. Disconnect the appliance from the mains when it is no longer in use and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.
  16. Make sure there is water in the appliance before switching it on. Do not start the appliance without water.
  17. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before filling or emptying the appliance’s water tank and replacing the nozzle.
  18. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
  19. Do not unscrew the water filler cap while the appliance is in use.
  20. Do not immerse the appliance in water during cleaning.
  21. Do not touch the appliance if it has fallen into water or become flooded. Immediately disconnect from the power supply.
  22. The appliance may only be used with the originally supplied accessories.
  23. Check the power cord regularly for damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced at the manufacturer’s service centre to prevent a hazard. List of service centers in the appendix and at www.eldom.eu.
  24. Repairs to the equipment may only be carried out by an authorised service centre. Any upgrades or use of non-original spare parts or components of the appliance is prohibited and compromises the safety of use.
  25. The equipment is for domestic use only, with industrial operation, incompatible with the intended use or contrary to this manual, the warranty entitlements will expire.
  26. Eldom Sp. z o.o. company shall not be held liable for any damage resulting from improper use of the device.

WARNING
Very hot steam comes out of the appliance. This means that the steam head and cleaning tips get very hot during use. Take care when using the appliance. DO NOT touch any parts that may become hot during use.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not pour descaling, flavored, alcohol-based or detergent-based products into the appliance, as this may damage it or make it unsafe to use.
  • Do not use the appliance to clean products made of leather, wax-polished furniture or floors, synthetic fabrics, velvet or other delicate, steam-sensitive materials. Follow the instructions for use and care provided by the manufacturer of the product being cleaned.
  • Do not use on unprotected hard floors. In addition, on waxed surfaces or some floors without wax, the shine may be removed by heat and steam. It is always recommended to test the isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. Follow the floor manufacturer’s instructions for use and care.

DEGREE OF PROTECTION: IPX4
Degree of protection of an electrical appliance against the penetration of external agents. The designation consists of the letters IP and two characters, the first indicating resistance to the penetration of solids, and the second for water penetration. “X” protection against solid bodies not specified, “4” protection against splashing water.

INTENDED USE
The PM1000 steam mop is intended to clean surfaces such as: stone, ceramics, linoleum and also carpets. Thanks to the use of steam, cleaning is quick, effective and environmentally friendly as no detergents are needed.

OPERATION

Before using, ensure that the appliance, plug and power cord are in working order and that all packaging has been removed.

VERTICAL MOP
Folding/unfolding the mop – fig. 2.

  • Holding by the body (2), lift the arm (4) and lock.
  • Press the button (5) to fold the arm (4).

Putting on the steam head (1) – fig 3.

  • Insert the steam head (1) into the socket at the bottom of the body (2).
  • To remove the head (1), press the locking button (8).

Fastening the cleaning cap (15) – fig. 4.

  • Place the cleaning pad (15) on the floor.
  • Place the mop on the cleaning pad (15) so that the underside of the cleaning head (1) contacts it evenly and press down.

Attach carpet pad (16) – Fig. 5.

  • Lay the pad (16) on the floor.
  • Place mop with attached pad (15) on pad (16) and press down.

HAND MOP (10) – fig. 7

  • Holding the body (2), push up the lock (7) and remove the mop (10).
  • Insert the steam head (1) or adapter (21) into the socket at the bottom of the mop (1) and then the selected tip – fig. 8.
  • See the table below for the purpose of each tip.
  • To remove the head (1) or adapter (21), press the lock button (8).

FILLING THE TANK (18) – fig. 6

  • Ensure that the appliance is unplugged and the switch (11) is set to the “0” position.
  • The tank (18) can be filled while it is fitted to the mop (10) or when it is removed.
  • To remove the reservoir (18), press the locking buttons (19).
  • Unscrew the valve (20) to the left and pull out.
  • Pour the water measured in the cup (17) into the tank – maximum 300 ml.
  • Tap water can be used to fill the tank, but demineralized water is recommended for hard water.
  • Insert the valve (20) and turn clockwise as far as it will go.
  • The water can be poured out after the appliance has been switched off using the button (11), disconnected from the power supply and cooled down.
  • To pour out the water, wait until the unit has cooled down then unscrew the valve, remove the valve and pour out.

ATTENTION

  • Do not unscrew the valve, top up the water or replace the blankets while the appliance is running.
  • Before refilling water or replacing the tip, switch off the appliance with the button (4) and disconnect from the power supply.
  • Do not use the appliance without water – the appliance may overheat.
  • Do not pour any cleaning agents, fragrance oils or other chemicals into the tank, as this may damage the appliance and create a hazard in use.

USE

  • Before using the mop, vacuum the surface to be cleaned.
  • Make sure the appliance is unplugged and the switch (11) is set to the “0” position.
  • Pour water into the tank (18) (see “FILLING THE TANK (18)”).
  • Fit the appropriate nozzle (see “OPERATION”).
  • When cleaning carpets, it is recommended to use the pad (16) – fig. 5.
  • Do not use the pad (16) for cleaning smooth surfaces as it may be damaged.
  • Connect the connection cable to a socket equipped with a protective pin as specified in the instructions.
  • Switch the button (11) to the “I” position – the indicator light in the button (11) will illuminate.
  • The lights (13) will illuminate red, indicating preheating.
  • Preheating will take approximately 20 seconds.
  • When the appliance is ready for use, the indicator light (13) will illuminate blue and steam will automatically be released from the appliance.
  • Use the regulator (14) to set the steam intensity suitable for the surface to be cleaned. Turning the regulator to the left reduces the steam intensity, turning it to the right increases it.

NOTE: Steam intensity control is electronically controlled. It takes up to 3 seconds to adjust the amount of steam. This is a normal occurrence.

  • When the water tank is full, the appliance can run for up to 20 minutes, depending on the selected steam intensity.
  • To disinfect a surface, hold the unit head over the area to be disinfected for approximately 8 seconds. Do not exceed the time of 15 seconds, as this may damage the surface to be cleaned or cause deposits.
  • When finished working, switch off the unit using the button (11) and disconnect from the power supply.
  • Allow the unit to cool down before dismantling and cleaning.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • The appliance or any of its components are not suitable for dishwashers.
  • Clean the appliance after using it and once it has cooled down.
  • Before cleaning turn off the appliance with the button (11), disconnect it and wait until it cools down.
  • Pour water out of the appliance after each use.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or rinse under running water.
  • External surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, cleaning powder, acetone, alcohol etc. to clean the appliance.
  • Accessories (1, 16, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27) should be cleaned with water with some dish washing
  • equid and thoroughly rinsed under running water.
  • Nozzles (15, 28) can be washed in a washing machine with some detergent. Do not use softeners or bleaches. Dry by spreading flat.

DESCALING
If the appliance starts producing less steam than usual or stops producing steam altogether, it may be necessary to to remove the limescale. Scale can build up over time on the metal parts of the appliance and significantly affect its performance. Periodic descaling is recommended after approximately 50 uses. The frequency of removal depends on the hardness of the tap water and the frequency of mop use. If particularly hard water is available in the area where you live, it may be necessary to use demineralized water.

USING A CLEANING SOLUTION

  • Make sure the appliance is unplugged and the switch (11) is set to the “0” position.
  • Prepare the solution: 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 tap water and pour into the tank (18) (max. 300 ml).
  • Position the appliance so that the steam outlet is directed away from the floor or surrounding
  • surrounding objects and surfaces.
  • Connect the appliance to the mains supply and switch on using the button (11).
  • Turn the steam regulator to the right and wait until the tank is empty.
  • If necessary, repeat the entire procedure.
  • Finally, fill the tank with clean water, switch on the appliance and wait until the tank is empty.
  • If the tips are stained, soak them in the cleaning solution and leave them to soak for several minutes.
  • for several minutes. Check that they are unobstructed before use.

NOTE
Do not leave the appliance unattended during the descaling process and/or during use. After descaling, perform a test on a suitably insulated surface to ensure that there is no residual solution in the appliance.

STORAGE

  • Store the appliance cleaned and dry, out of the reach of children.
  • The cable (9) can be wound onto the hangers (3, 6).

  • This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
  • It cannot be used for professional purposes or for other than the intended use.
  • Improper use will nullify the guarantee.
