FIRST STEPS

1. Remove your Oculax and accessories from the shipping box, and inspect each item for shipping damage.
2.  Read carefully through this user manual and all safety instructions before using the Oculax.
3.  Go to oculax.lifeprofitness.com and register your product within 14 days of purchase to activate your lifetime warranty.
4.  Complete the steps in the EASY-START SETUP GUIDE on page 8 to begin using your Oculax.
5.  See OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS on page 10 and TIPS FOR USING YOUR OCULAX on page 9 for details about how to use your Oculax.

EASY-START SETUP GUIDE

CHARGING THE BATTERY

• Charge fully before using your Oculax for the first time.
• Ensure the Oculax is OFF before charging.
•  Connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the bottom edge of the device.
• Plug the USB-C charging cable into an appropriate USB adapter or USB device. See CHARGING THE BATTERY on page 10.

PREPARING TO USE THE OCULAX

• Wash and dry your hands and face to remove any makeup or dirt.
• Ensure the Oculax is fully charged and powered OFF.
• Sit in a chair or sit upright in bed and place a disposable eye-guard over your eyes.
•  Put the Oculax on your head with the massager positioned over your eyes and the elastic strap behind your head. The Power button should be on your right.
• Use the buckle to adjust the head strap so that the device fits snugly, but not too tightly, on your face.

USING THE OCULAX

• Press and hold the Power button to turn on the device.
• Choose the desired massage mode. See OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS on page 10.
• The massager will power off when the selected massage program completes.
• Press the power button to stop the massage at any time.
• Power off the massager before removing it from your head.

NOTE: The disposable eye-guard goes between your eyes and the Oculax to help keep the massager clean. Additional eye-guards are available for purchase from the Lifepro website.

TIPS FOR USING YOUR OCULAX

• Always thoroughly wash and dry your hands and face before using the Oculax, and wear a disposable eye-guard over your eyes to keep the massager clean.
• Always put on and adjust the massager before powering it on.
•  Do not remove the massager during operation. Always turn off the power first and wait for the air pressure to completely release before removing it to avoid injury and damage to the device.
•  If you have sensitive eyes or skin, you may want to place a clean towel or cloth between your eyes and the Oculax to avoid discomfort.
•  Begin with the shortest program (P1), and gradually work your way up to longer sessions. You may choose to begin with only 5 minutes of massage time initially, using a timer and any of the 4 preset programs.
•  Always use while seated or lying down. Never use while standing, walking, or driving.
•  Wipe the massage surface with a soft cloth dampened with 70% rubbing or isopropyl alcohol, as needed.
•  The device will automatically power off after the selected massage program completes. Do not use continuously for more than 20 minutes.
•  The heat function’s temperature is set to a gentle warmth of 107 °F, enough to help relax your muscles and enhance the massage benefits. It takes about 5 seconds for the unit to begin heating up.

CAUTION

• Do not wear eyeglasses or contact lenses during use.
• Do not wear metal accessories, such as jewelry, buttons, or snaps, in the massage area, as the metal may heat and cause burns.
•  Do not use this product in combination with ointments, salves, liniments, balms, or other topical pain-relievers that contain ingredients that produce heat (such as capsaicin), as this may result in burns.
• Stop using immediately if you feel discomfort or pain, or if the heat function feels too hot on your skin.
• Take care not to pinch your fingers when folding the device.
•  Keep away from children and pets.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the operating instructions before using the Oculax. Keep this manual for reference.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
To charge the Oculax:

1. Ensure the Oculax is OFF before charging.
2. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the bottom edge of the device.
3.  Plug the charging cable into either:
   • A USB port on a laptop or computer, OR
   • A 5V USB adapter such as a 1A or 2A cellphone charging adapter (a 2A charger will charge faster). Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.

CHARGING NOTES

•  The Battery Indicator LED will flash during charging. When the battery is fully charged, the LED will remain lit.
• When the battery is very low, the battery LED will flash, you will hear a beep, and then the device will shut down automatically. Charge the device before trying to use it again.
• The massager takes up to 2 hours to charge.
• Average run-time is about 4 hours per charge, depending on the settings in the programs used (Bluetooth, heat, vibration, etc.).

USING YOUR OCULAX

1. Press and hold the Power button on the control panel for 2 seconds to turn ON the Oculax. Once the device is powered on, the 5 LED indicators light up.
2. Place an eye-guard over your eyes, then put the Oculax on your head with the massager positioned over your eyes and the elastic strap behind your head. The Power button is on your right.
3.  Press the Power button quickly to toggle between the four available massage programs (P1–P4) to choose the desired program. Press the Power button once for P1, twice for P2, three times for P3, and so on. The program will start after three seconds. Each preset massage program has different features. Please see the chart on the next page for details.
4.  Press and hold the Power button to turn off the device at any time. Always power off the device after each use.

NOTE: The device will automatically shut down after your massage program ends. Press the Power button again if you wish to continue using the device.

SETTING UP BLUETOOTH MUSIC

1. Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn on the Oculax.
2.  Ensure your device (cell phone, iPad, etc.) is on.
3.  On your device, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth.
4. In the device list, choose “Oculax Smart Eye Massager” to connect to your Oculax.
5.  Control the music playlist and volume from your device.

USING THE CONTROL PANEL

1. Power Button: Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn on/ off the Oculax. Quickly press the Power button to toggle through the 4 preset programs.
2.  Air Compression Indicator: Shows that air compression is active.
3.  Bluetooth Indicator: Shows that Bluetooth is turned on.
4.  Battery Indicator: If lit, the battery is fully charged. If blinking, the battery is low.
5.  Vibration Indicator: Shows that vibration is active.
6.  Heat Indicator: Shows that heat is on.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Do not use this product if you:
  • Have open or bleeding wounds, swollen or inflamed skin, or areas of numbness or skin insensitivity in the eye area.
  • Have malignant or benign tumors in the eye area.

• Consult your physician before using this product if you:
  • Have an eye condition such as glaucoma, cataracts, severe nearsightedness, retinal detachment, or acute eye inflammation.
  • Have recently had surgery, eye surgery, LASIK or PRK surgery, or if you have recently sustained an eye injury.
  • Have blood clots, deep-vein thrombosis, deep thrombophlebitis, phlebitis, arrhythmia, erysipelas, or pulmonary edema.
  • Have diabetes, poor blood circulation, peripheral neuropathy dysfunction affecting the head, neck, or eyes, or if you have sensory deficiencies, including an impaired ability to sense external temperature or elevated body temperature.
  • Have heart disease or vascular disease, abnormal blood pressure, or if you are receiving treatment to normalize your blood pressure. • Have osteoporosis, diabetes, epilepsy, gout, active tuberculosis, or a bleeding disorder.
  • Are, or suspect you may be, pregnant, or if you have recently given birth.
  • Have cancer or suspect you may have cancerous lesions.
  • Are under the care of a physician for a serious health condition or have any concerns about your health.

CLEANING, STORAGE & MAINTENANCE

• This product is not machine-washable.
• Do not use abrasive, corrosive, solvent, or chemical cleaners or harsh detergents to clean the device.
• Store indoors in a cool, dry location. Disconnect the charging adapter before storing, and do not store other objects on top of the device.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device; contains no user serviceable parts.

NOTICE

• Do not remove the Oculax during operation. Always turn off the power first and  wait for the air pressure to completely release. Otherwise, the device may be damaged.
• Excessive force or weight applied to the device can crush or damage it.
•  To avoid damaging the device, do not wrap the charging adapter cable around.

• Do not use during lightning and thunderstorms. Unplug the device immediately in the event of a power failure.
• This device is intended for in-home use only. Do not use in any commercial, rental, institutional, or therapeutic setting.
• Dispose of the device and all accessories according to state and federal regulations.
