PRECAUTIONS
- For AC operation, check that the unit’s operating voltage is identical with your local power supply, see (specifications) and use the supplied AC power cord; do not use any other type. For the battery operation the unit only on 4.5V DC using three D batteries.
- The nameplate indication operating voltage, power consumption etc. is located on the rear exterior.
- Disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet when it is not to be used for an extended period of time.
- This unit is not disconnected from the AC power source as long as it’s connected to the wall outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off.
- When the internal batteries are not to be used remove them to avoid damage caused by the battery leakage and corrosion.
- Do not leave the unit in a location near heat sources, or in a place subject to direct sunlight and excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shock.
- Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit, unplug the unit and remove the batteries. Have the unit checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.
