Safety instructions
- Never overload the product!
- This winch is designed for pulling applications and should never be used for lifting objects!
- Never put your hand or any other part of your body near the gear, rim and wire rope. Always wear gloves when using the winch.
- In case a problem occurs, never try to repair or disassemble the winch. Deliver the winch to a certified technician in case of malfunction.
- When replacing the wire rope, make sure that the end of the wire rope comes through the 4 holes located on the side of the rim, and tie a knob to weld the end tip of the wire rope in order to prevent the cable from coming out.
- Use grease to lubricate the axis and gears before storing the winch for a long period.
Main Instructions
-
Ratchet switch – The winch has 3 available position settings: The higher position is used for pulling objects (increasing tension/winding), the lower position is used for releasing the wire rope (decreasing tension/unwinding), the middle position is used for both pulling and releasing actions but can only be used when the winch is unloaded. When the winch is under load, always hold the crank handle tightly if you want to switch the position setting.
-
Before use, install the winch on a firm and flat surface. To install it, set the ratchet switch to the middle position and pull the wire rope out and make sure that there at least three rounds are winded around the shaft.
Use at least 3 sets of 3/8″ bolts and locking nuts, following a triangle pattern, to fix the base on the surface. Use an extra metal piece or a block hardwood board if necessary. -
Then install the crank handle to the axis bolt using a nut.
-
Set the ratchet switch on the higher position and turn the crank handle clockwise to wind the wire rope. Set the ratchet switch on the lower position and turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to unwind the wire rope.
