Thank you for choosing the Sportneer 5-digit Combination bicycle Chain Lock! For your safety and enjoyable use, please read this user manual carefully before use and save it for future reference.
Safety Instructions
- Please read the instructions to learn how to set a password before use, and ensure you can open the lock and keep the password.
- To against thievery, you’d better store your bike in a dedicated depositary or lock it together with a pillar or other permanent fixtures.
- Do not strike the lock unit violently to avoid any damage to it and being unusable.
- Do not use the combination lock in a humid or high salinity environment to avoid rusting of the lock unit and difficult rotation of the code disc.
- Do not leave the lock in high temperature conditions for a long time to prevent the lock unit from being damaged and affecting its normal use.
- Do not place the lock head in a place full of mud, sand and dust to avoid affecting the use of code disc.
- For better and longer use of the combination chain lock, it’s suggested to smear anti-rust solution on the lock head once every other month if you use it in rainy days or humid conditions. In addition, it’s recommended to smear anti-rust solution once every 3 months.
Cautions
- The original password is 0-0-0-0-0. Please reset the password according to the steps below, save the new one and scramble it before using again. Note: If you ask for return, please set the password back to 0-0-0-0-0 in advance.
- For the safety of your property, please do not expose your bike to public or unsafe occasions for a long time.
Operational Instruction
Reset the Password

The preset password is 0-0-0-0-0. You can toggle the digits to a line that is aligned with marks on both ends to open the lock.

Rotate the code disc on a 90-degree clockwise direction. Note: The code disc can’t be rotated if the password is wrong.

Toggle the digits to your desired numbers and make them align with the marks on both ends, and keep the new password (e.g. 1-2-3-4-5).

Rotate the code disc on a 90-degree counterclockwise direction to lock the password. Note: Once you set a specific password, any other passwords can’t be used to open the lock.

Scramble all the numbers and then toggle back to the previous set password (please remember the password before scrambling). (e.g. 1-2-3-4-5).

Insert the deadbolt into the lock unit to complete password resetting.

If you want to reset the password again, please repeat the step 1 to 6 and do remember the new password.
How to Retrieve the Password (only when the lock latch is separated from
the lock unit)

Toggle the digits to the previous set password (e.g. the password is 1-2-3-4-5).

Count how many teeth are there on the deadbolt.

According to the number of teeth on the deadbolt, count the corresponding number from left to right on the code disc so as to adjust the number on the code disc, as shown below. (Note: Because there are three teeth on the deadbolt, make an adjustment after counting the third number from left to right on the code disc.)

Push the deadbolt into the lock unit, and toggle the digits on each circle. You can try the number before/after the right one in each circle first.

If the digit is toggled to the correct number, the deadbolt would step further. Continue until all numbers are correct.

If you can’t find the right password by trying the number before/after the right one in each circle, please try again from 0 to 9 in turn until you find it.

A: Add several drops of lubricating oil to the lock head and try to open the lock again. It’s suggested to smear anti-rust solution on the lock head once every other month if you use it in rainy days or humid conditions. In addition, it’s recommended to smear anti-rust solution once every 3 months. If the lock actually doesn’t work, please contact our customer service team and we will give you a satisfactory solution.
Q: What if I can’t set a new password or the lock can’t be opened after password resetting?
A: If you can’t set a new password in the condition of correct password, or can’t open the lock after resetting, please add several drops of lubricating into the lock unit and try it again, or you can try to retrieve the password as the above instructions said.
