Camera Reset:

Reset the camera by using the reset pin. Press and hold the reset pin for more than 5 seconds until you hear a voice prompt indicating that the factory settings have been restored. Release the reset pin and then try to re-add the camera to the AiDot APP. The reset button is located near the plug hole.

Adding Camera to AiDot APP by Scanning QR Code:

Step 1: Go to the Home page of the AiDot APP and tap on the + icon.

Step 2: Select “Add Device” and choose the option to scan a QR code.

Step 3: Scan the QR code on the body of the camera and follow the tips provided by the APP.

Adding Camera to AiDot APP Manually:

Step 1: Go to the Home page of the AiDot APP and tap on the + icon.

Step 2: Select “Add Device” and choose the “Surveillance” option.

Step 3: Choose the camera model and click on “Add Manually” at the bottom of the page. Follow the tips provided by the APP.

Troubleshooting Live Stream Issues:

If you are experiencing a delayed or unviewable livestream, try the following:

  • Move the camera and mobile phone closer to the router.
  • Restore the router and reset the camera.
  • Delete some infrequently used networking devices on some routers.
  • Add a router or WiFi connection device.

Troubleshooting Video Recording Issues:

If some videos are not recorded, follow these steps:

If using Cloud storage:

  • Enable motion detection and disable other detection settings.
  • Increase the sensitivity of the camera.
  • Delete the activity zone of the camera.
  • Change the cooldown time to 1 minute (only available after subscribing to the cloud service).

If using an SD card for storage:

Enable continuous recording in the Device settings of the AiDot APP.

Cooldown Time:

The cooldown time refers to the time interval between video triggers for the camera. For example, if the cooldown setting is 5 minutes, the camera will not trigger another video for five minutes after recording one. This ensures that the camera does not generate unnecessary videos within a short period of time, even if there is activity near the camera.

Benefits of Cloud Service:

  • Videos stored on the cloud can be accessed even if the device is destroyed, stolen, or if the memory card is damaged.
  • The service includes access to all AI algorithms on the device and allows you to view event recordings from the past 30 days through the AiDot APP.
  • The available AI algorithms may vary depending on the camera model.

Subscribing to Cloud Service:

There are two cloud service options available:

  • $1.99/month: This can be bound to one device.
  • $6.99/month: Can be bound to multiple devices.

To subscribe to the Cloud Service:

Step 1: Access the Aidotor Page and click on “AI Protection”.

Step 2: Click on “Add New Subscription”.

Step 3: Choose the Cloud Service option that you prefer. You can also check the functions that will be available after subscribing to the cloud services.

Troubleshooting No Voice from Camera:

To enable the voice on the camera, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the Home page of the AiDot APP and navigate to the Live stream page.

Step 2: Click on the live stream and you will find a speaker icon. By default, the speaker is turned off. Enable it to hear the camera’s voice.

Difference between M219 and M219 Pro:

M219 Pro is an updated version of M219, which includes additional features such as alarm function and setting active zones.

    • Please help reboot the phone and reset the camera.
    • Make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct. Please check spelling, or if there are extra spaces after the last digit of the password. Some input methods will automatically capitalize the first letter, or automatically fill a space after the last password.
    • Move the camera closer to the router. Only supports a 2.4GHz network.
    • The camera does not support WPA3 router encryption. If your router is set with WPA3 encryption, please change it to WPA2 in the router settings.
    • If the router is incompatible, try another router or use your mobile phone hotspot.
    • There may be a router incompatibility issue. It is recommended that you try to use the mobile hotspot to connect the device.
    • After using the mobile hotspot to connect successfully, please keep the device online for more than ten minutes. The device is automatically upgraded to the latest version.
    • After the upgrade is complete, the device can be reset and connected to the router at home.
  5. Q: We are stuck on the live stream page, what should I do?
    • A: If there is a stuck delayed or unviewable live stream, please help try these ways.
    • Move the camera and mobile phone closer to the router;
    • Restore the router and reset the camera;
    • Delete some infrequently used networking devices on some routers;
    • Add a router or WiFi connection device.
  6. Q: What should I do if there are some videos that didn’t record?
    • A: If you use the Cloud to save the video.
    • Please help just enable the motion detection and disable the other’s detection;

    • For example, if the camera has already triggered a video at 9:00, it will not trigger and generate a video from 9:00 to 9:05, even if a person is right next to the camera.
