Product overview
- Used for controlling normally closed switch of small valves and compatible with Power Distribution Modules (PDM) the control electrical diagram must be followed.
- On-off and stable control of closed loop
- The valve is closed when the electric actuator has a power failure.
- No noise during operation.
Installation
- Actuator assembly onto the valve is completed by an M30 threaded ring nut. No tools are to be used as excessive tightening could cause damage to the valve assembly.
- The threaded ring nut allows for comfortable cable positioning at any 360 angle on the valve. The actuator should always be fi tted in a horizontal or vertical position, never upside down. In chilled water circuits, positions which allow condensation to get into the actuator are not advis able.
- For the correct functioning of the actuator, the electrical circuit should be sized based on the starting current.
- The electrical connection should be done by an electrician, based on the electric schematics of the Power Distribution Module (PDM)
Note:
After installation the red card must be pulled out so that the actuator can
work properly!
intended use
For opening and closing small valves in underfl oor water heating systems. The actuator is equipped with a visual position indicator to show the open or closed position of the valve . Sygonix actuator can be connected to the mentioned valve types in conjunct ion with room temperature controllers. With visible position indicator showing opening or closing of valve. If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be damaged.
Improper use can result in short circuits, fi res, electric shocks or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the product.

- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Mains cable
Do not modify or repair mains supply components including mains plugs, mains cables, and power supplies. Do not use damaged components. Risk of death by electric shock!
- Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical stress.
- Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold.
- Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged.
- A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
- Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged.
- First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
- Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
- A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualifi ed person, so as to prevent any danger.
- Ensure that cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
- Always lay cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury
Connected devices
- Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.
Operation
- Frist open time: 120s, and close time 5 to 8 min. according to working temperature.
- After installation and preliminary testing, the device will act according to the PDM controller.
- The operating status of the actuator can be observed depending on its position, open or closed
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible cause | Suggested solution |
---|---|---|
The actuator does not work. | Imperfect electrical contact | Check and reconnect |
contacts
The actuator is too slow| . Undersized actuator.| The actuator works within
the parameters if the closing or opening time is approx. 8 min.
